“Great family with vibe of summer camp. You are happy to be a part of this incredible space and feel sad when your stay comes to the end”. This is how I’d summarise my experience at Casa de Magdalena. This is a sign for everyone who is considering to stay at hostel, but still hesitant - you absolutely have to try this place. There is one downside to it though - it’s unlikely you’ll get any similar experience at other hostels. Thank you guys for making me feel right at home. Piece of my heart now belongs to Faro, Casa de Magdalena and incredible people (both staff and guests I’ve met there) ❤️ (For those who were looking for practical reviews - place is clean, very well maintained, staff is super friendly, make sure everyone is adhering to the rules to make stay comfortable for all guests and if it wasn’t enough you have pancakes for breakfast every day and it gives you opportunity to meet other guests, exchange your experience, find buddies to explore nearby places and so on)

One of the best Airbnb experiences of our lives! We originally booked this place just because it was close to the airport for our last night, but from the moment we arrived, everything changed. The property is absolutely stunning. Lush green gardens filled with palm trees, a peaceful and private atmosphere, and a balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffee while soaking in views that made us feel like we were in South America. The pool was amazing, perfect for unwinding and forgetting that our vacation was almost over. Located nearby the airport , it was incredibly quiet and serene. You don’t hear a thing, & Faro is just a 10 minute Uber ride away. What truly made our stay unforgettable was Nuno. He really was the best host we’ve ever had: warm, welcoming, and thoughtful in every way. He went out of his way to make us feel at home, even arranging a bottle of wine! And to top it all off, he personally dropped us off at the airport the next day. Our only regret? Not staying longer!

Hemos estado seis adultos, cinco noches, excelente recepción de Emilia, que nos dio indicaciones precisas y muchas recomendaciones que fueron muy útiles. La casa con tres dormitorios, logia de lavado, terraza con parrilla para asados, Jacuzzi exterior, cocina completa y amplio sector común. Ubicación cómoda, nos permitió recorrer todos los lugares que habíamos planeado.

I had the most incredible stay in this property. It was a last minute booking as my travel plans changed and I honestly feel like I was dealt the luckiest hand in finding this gem! The place is tranquil, so tastefully designed, cool (even in this heat!) and to top it off, has a plunge pool on the roof. The hosts have thought of every little detail - I believe they live there - and all I can say is; they live in style! Each room has its own unique charm, it’s such a special place. As hosts they were really accomodating, suggesting a great local restaurant (Cha Cha Cha - the flash fried tuna salad was majestic) and some day trips for me to do the next time I stay - which I hope to do in the very near future. I am honestly floating on air after my time there. Thank you so much Steph & Ben!

We stayed at the sunset room for two days and the apartment had everything we needed: Kitchen equipment, oil and herbs and even a sweet balcony with ocean view! The center is a bit further away (20-25 minutes on foot) but easy to walk to. The supermarket was very close (4 minutes on foot) and next to the apartment building was even a small portugesian Café. The contact with Susana was very friendly and helpful! She had good recommendations. :) Guests should keep in mind that the fan of the neighbours aircon is placed on the rooms' balcony. It is noisy and blows hot air on the balcony. We found it very helpful to have earplugs.

Isabel was such a delight. We had to check in very late and she stayed up to check us in nonetheless. The property was very clean, modern and had all of the amenities. The parking was right in front of the property so it was quite easy. The rooftop infinity pool was very nice. And the town nearby was so cute. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

We had moved from another more remote town to Faro so this stay was just for one night but, Filipe was super communicative, responsive, flexible, helpful and made us feel very welcome. We were running late because of uber pick up but Filipe was very understanding. We only had a small issue finding the building because we didn't have the door number so remember to ask for that! We were shown around by the charming, warm and fun Filipe. The room was cosy with balcony and it felt like a home away from home! We met Filipa a bit later with their gorgeous children - again such a lovely, engaging and chatty person. The location is perfect for Faro town centre and the bus terminal. It's about 20 mins or so by taxi to Faro intl airport (cost around 15/16 euros) so super convenient. We were just gutted we didn't have more time to get to know our hosts who give off such "good vibes". We will definitely not hesitate to book again in the future.
