Perfect place to stay and explore the Fiordlands! Beautiful home with expansive view of Lake Te Anau and easy walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Truly memorable experience and we are all looking forward to returning. The fireplaces were a huge bonus - it was great to wake up and have a coffee while sitting next to them. Also, we very much appreciated the welcoming groceries - what a wonderful touch. I would rank this at the very top of any airBnB I’ve ever stayed at.

Beautiful home that is both spacious and perfectly situated as a bascamp for all the nearby attractions (e.g., Milford Sound and many miles of gorgeous hiking). The beds were incredibly comfortable and we loved having the cozy fireplace in the living room. Leana was a fantastic host, even practively suggesting the restaurants to reserve for the nights of our stay (and she was right since other guests were turned away). Awesome home, fantastic host, lovely memories ... we can't wait till we visit again.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Rachel's place. She greeted us warmly upon arrival and provided us local recommendations. The home was so warm and welcoming and we especially loved the comfortable bed. It was also centrally located and walkable to nearby restaurants. Overall, a great place to stay in Te Anau - highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was just like the pictures—cozy, clean, and super comfortable. The instructions were clear and helpful, especially the tips for walks. We loved playing board games in the evenings—it felt just like home. Beds were comfy, and it was the perfect little getaway. Would definitely come back!

This stay in Te Anau was extremely accommodating. So much attention to detail by Kathryn and space to accommodate all age groups including a cupboard full of toys and games and 2 living spaces. Quite a small table to accommodate this many people but everything else was amazing.

Leon’s place is a neat and tidy house with all the essentials. It is well located in a very quiet spot only a minute or two drive from the town centre. May be one for asthma sufferers to avoid as house seemed to have a little bit of damp but that was not a problem at all for our group of five. It is an older style home in a very wet region so that’s not surprising. We had a good stay and Leon was very good on communication even letting us arrive a little early which we appreciated. We would recommend as a convenient base for exploring the Sounds.

Queenstown is a bit too busy and crowded, while luckily we stayed at Emma’s house, it’s just 15min driving to town center, not really far away, but the area is private and pleasant. There’s everything you need from the house, even soya source and chopsticks, friendly to Asian people. To our surprise, on the first night midnight, we saw a beauty sky full of stars, which is a memorable experience. Definitely recommend!

Penny was a wonderful host and easy to reach during the stay, we needed assistance at one point and she swiftly arranged someone to come and help. The house is on the lake and we all enjoyed being able to relax in a warm and comfortable house. Penny also put in the extra mile and provided items for my little nieces and extra plates etc for an evening with extended family, which made our family holiday all that more special. And everyone had a amazing time Couldn’t recommend this Airbnb enough!

We stayed here prior to a cruise on Doubtful Sound. Very comfortable rural setting on a farm for two couples. A dozen farm eggs for us in the fridge, making for a nice meal of omelets, combined with some extras purchased at nearby Four Square. Plenty of cereals and yogurt. Highly recommended.

Had a great time. Lots of space and good living area to hang out. Kitchen was great and it was great having a few bathrooms with our family group.
