Wir haben unseren fünftägigen Aufenthalt jenseits der touristischen Ströme in Mae Ai bei Nice’s Eltern sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war gross, sauber, bequem und abgetrennt vom Wohnbereich der Eltern. Nice war sehr geduldig, beantwortete uns jede Frage und gab uns hilfreiche Tipps. Wir lernten ihre nette Familie kennen. Sie organisierte für uns ein BBQ in den Bergen an einem besonders schönen Platz, eine Besichtigung in einem Garten mit vielen Kräutern, auch konnten wir spezielle Speisen und Getränke der Region kennenlernen. Von hier aus konnten wir uns Eindrücke über den Kaffeeanbau und seine Verarbeitung in den Bergen machen. Dabei half uns, dass wir uns ein Moped leihen konnten. Bei Spaziergängen durch die Reisfelder sind für ornithologisch interessierte Reisende verschiedene Vogelarten zu beobachten. Die Menschen sind hier sehr offen und das berühmte Lächeln als Gruss noch allgegenwärtig. Vielen Dank Nice, es war eine wunderschöne Zeit für uns. Far away from the tourist streams, we enjoyed our five-day stay with Nice’s parents in Mae Ai very much. The room was large, clean, comfortable and separated from the parents living area. Nice was very patient, answered every question and gave us helpful tips. We also met her nice family. She organized for us a BBQ in the mountains at a particularly beautiful place, as well as a visit in a garden with many herbs. We were also introduced to special meals and drinks of the region. From here we could get some impressions about the coffee cultivation and its processing in the mountains. For that, it helped us that we could borrow a moped. During walks through the rice fields, ornithologically interested travellers can observe various bird species. The people here are very open and the famous smile, as a greeting, is still omnipresent. Thank you Nice for a wonderful time.

We arrived quite late in order to catch up and experience the Saturday walking market in the town which was absolutely great and worth of going. The host was so kind to show up near the deadline with an umbrella and the key. We enjoyed the breakfast and the key as well. Heard that we were the first guest from Airbnb. Cats and dogs are soo friendly at ease. Place is clean and surrounded with lots of greens. Just be careful driving at night when the road gets foggy or slippery. Cheers.

Lovely spot overlooking the lake. Has a beautiful outdoor covered deck with couch, the area is rural so there is not alot to do in the vicinity, we saw this as a positive thing as the location is beautiful and meals are provided. Peaceful and serene, lovely walks around the property.
