The location is perfect—close enough to explore the historic Stone Town but situated in a quiet and peaceful area, which made for a relaxing stay. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of room to unwind after a day of exploring. It had everything I needed for a enjoyable trip. The host was absolutely wonderful! They were very responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Zanzibar. The combination of a great location, spacious and comfortable accommodations, and an exceptional host made my stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely be returning in the future!

Asha’s place is located in the heart of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, making it a perfect base for exploring Zanzibar’s rich history and culture. It’s an excellent budget-friendly option for travelers looking to stay close to all major attractions. The apartment is just a two-minute walk from key historical sites, including Tippu Tip’s House, the old slave chambers, the bustling port, and the famous night food market. The area is surrounded by numerous tourist shops and great restaurants, offering plenty of options for dining and shopping. While the central location is a major advantage, be aware that some noise from tourists and nearby market vendors—especially during late-night cleanups and storing —is unavoidable. However, this is beyond Asha’s control and is a small trade-off for such a prime location. Overall, I highly recommend Asha’s place for travelers who prioritize convenience and cultural immersion over absolute quiet. I would definitely stay here again

Eva’s apartment is an a dream. You feel like you are in Arabian Nights. The many balconies, the rooftop, the muezzin’s beautiful call, the ocean view...it’s an architectural and cultural gem. Located just near the port. Don’t miss out!

We had a great stay at BT cottages. The staff were helpful whenever we needed something. Urah was so great and always available. The kitchen wasn’t fully stocked but Urah delivered whatever we requested for. I loved the fact that the place was peaceful and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. I’ll definitely recommend and come back. Thank you.

We stayed at Eta's Airbnb last year and came back again because we liked it so much!!! The A/C in the bedrooms is great, I love the location, the decor and little extras are thoughtful and we love that the suite is on the main floor. The only downside this year was, the neighbours upstairs were louder than last year with a screaming toddler who was often up by 5:00 am. The master bedroom had windows facing the courtyard and it was very loud. I would still stay at this suite again though!!! Thanks Romain and Eta... see you next year!!!

We had e great stay at Mohammeds apartment with our family with 2 kids. It is a clean, cozy and comfortable oasis in the busy city. Sauda came to fetch us at the parkinglot and its a short walk form there. She warmly welcomed us.

Great host. The host deserves to to be ranked as a "Super Host". The host was more than accommodating, He went above and beyond. The home was spotless and right on the ocean, as described. The view was magnificent and breathtaking. We watched the cruise ships sail past the house. Fishermen who fished for crabs often stopped by, as we lounged on the veranda or in the pool, to offer us fresh crabs from the ocean. On arrival, the host provided tropical juices, wine, and water. This was one of the best Airbnb hosts I have encountered. Should I return to Zanzibar, I hope I am lucky enough to stay at the Ocean Bay Villa. I recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Zanzibar.

Veronica was very kind. She welcomed our family into her home. We wanted a place close to the airport so fly out the next day. Driving into the neighborhood, we started to get a little worried. It's a few minutes down a dirt road. She was able to give our driver precise directions. Once we got behind the secured gate, we were amazed by the property. We hung up our wet beach clothes outside on the spacious patio and clothesline. The kitchen had all the amenities. A separate dining area, a sitting area with 3 couches and TV, 3 bedrooms(2 with en suite bathrooms then a 3rd bathroom). AC in every room which was a bonus for us coming from not having any for 3 days in Nungwi. Hot water in the baths/showers. I slept on the couch comfortably whilst others enjoyed their private rooms/beds. In the neighborhood, I felt safe enough to walk 10 min to a fruit stand and small grocery to make breakfast. The kids in the area were so sweet. We gave them treats and they were grateful!Thank you!

Very cute and private place. Highly recommend this stay. You have everything you need there and the little outside space is lovely. The area is also beautiful. Muqaddar is very happy to help wherever he can.

Great apartment to stay. The apartment was clean and it had everything we needed including washing machine to wash our clothes. The host was friendly and responsive. What I loved the most about the apartment is that its a great location.

wow!!! what a beautiful apartment. Dennis's place was absolutely amazing. We were there for our wedding anniversary for 2 weeks and Dennis met me and gave us a gift of a bottle of champagne. Anytime I had a question Dennis was extremely responsive in helping make this a very peaceful and lovely vacation. my husband and I had an amazing time and I will highly recommend Dennis place. It was very clean, looked like the pictures, and the art work and decorations were gorgeous. the only downside was that the apartment is on the 4th floor so...get ready for some exercise. Thanks for everything Dennis!

I am very thankful for the time I could spend at the embassy appartment. It was a very nice environment, the land lady was very helpful in everything and I am just looking forward to my next stay with the embassy appartment. The location is also nice and developping around, you can have nice local food next to you. The appartment was nice, it had also solar, what made it easy to work remote & the wireless was also enough strong. All in All very very happy and a little bit sad to leave. See you next time! I stayed at the Monolo apartment for two weeks. The apartment was beyond my expectations. I felt like I was at home and had no trouble with getting around. Everything was to my standard and Abdulkarim made sure everything was accessible and had no trouble. The place was sparkling clean and everything was in working order. I had no troubles with electricity and water throughout my stay. Abdulkareem shared he’s Netflix account too which was very kind of him to do so. The WiFi was very fast and had good connection. The security system was top notch. I would recommend this apartment to anyone that’s looking for a clean, private and home away from home. The apartment was very affordable and worth the pay. Thank you Abdulkareem for the lovely experience. I would definitely love to stay at your apartment whenever I’ll be in Tanzania if you’ll have me 😊

Simone is an amazing host, very friendly, go out of his way to assist and make you feel very informed and very welcome. The house is on an amazing location right on the beach with immaculate views. The staff are all very friendly and we had an amazing stay. Will come back for family holidays here and definitely recommend to anyone going to Zanzibar.
