This is a private rental accommodation located next to the historic site of the former Sanjo residence in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture. The former Sanjo family has prospered in the shipping, silk, and sake industries in Miyazu Castle since the Edo period. It was also the residence of the Edo shogunate patrol officer, and in the Meiji period, it was the residence of Prince Arisugawa Takahito and Prince Komatsu Takahito, and is now designated as an important cultural property by the country. We have rebuilt the annex as an inn, "Miyanaka Kanbei Honten". The name of the house is the same as the sake brewery at the time. The owner carefully selected high-quality flooring and tiles while maintaining the atmosphere of that time, and placed selected sofas, tables, and bar counters in the living room on the ground floor. We have created a space for you to relax and unwind. Please spend your time in a high-quality space while feeling the history and seasonal changes of Miyazu, a port town that has fascinated many people since ancient times. Guests staying at the property will receive a free ticket to the former residence of the Mikami family! You can use it on either your check-in or check-out date. We hope you enjoy the Edo atmosphere. The opening hours of the Former Sanjo Matsuya residence are from 9: 00 to 17: 00. (Admission reception is until 16: 30) Closed during the New Year's holidays (December 29 - January 3).

There is a cove in front of the inn, and it is a quiet environment where you can hear the sound of the waves. If you'd like to swim in the sea, please use Kotohikihama Beach (Asobichi), which is an 8-minute walk away. It can accommodate up to 5 people + 1 extra person, and is also recommended for summer family trips and group trips. "umieru kuro" is an entire rental inn in the small village "Asobi" by the sea. A maisonette-shaped home with a view of the sea from the upper and lower floors is a space where you can feel the serenity of the wood and the warmth and shade. Unlike the bustling tourist spots, you can enjoy a "restful living trip" while feeling the wind, light, and the texture of the materials. Kotohikihama, one of Japan's three major singing sand beaches, is an 8-minute walk away, and you can also enjoy swimming in the clear sea. If you wish, we can also arrange a "town walk" with a local guide or a walking tour (reservation required) to trace the history of the Geopark. You can also spend time fishing and watching the calm sea in the inlet right next to the inn. Popular tourist destinations such as Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya are about 30 minutes away by car. You can use it as a base to enjoy the nature and culture of Tango, or you can use it for relaxing.

A building where you can stay while feeling the region

A property that had been vacant for about 3 years in the "Kami-Miyazu" area, which boasts countryside scenery and is about a 10-minute drive from the center of Miyazu, was renovated into a private rental accommodation. It is 10 minutes to the sea, 15 minutes to Amanohashidate, and 45 minutes to Ine no Funaya. It is not a particularly beautiful facility, but you can spend a relaxing time unique to the area. Basically, we don't serve food, but if you'd like, you can book a breakfast onigiri set at the nearby onigiri cafe, which is limited to our facility (for a fee) We can also introduce you to local people, BBQ, harvesting experiences, e-bike tours in the area, and more. Please check with me in advanced. BBQ is also available for rent as a set for ¥2,200. (Chairs, stove, charcoal, lighter, from preparation to cleaning up) Food is not included. Please bring your own. We do not allow BBQs outside of rentals. In the garage, in addition to BBQ, you can do bicycle and motorcycle maintenance without getting wet from the rain. You can store it in a locked building, so you can travel around Tango with peace of mind. Parking is available right behind the facility.
