Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Missaukee County

Had a wonderful family weekend at Mari-Jo’s place. Our 3 and 5 year old family members loved all of the available games and the play set out back. The grown-ups took full advantage of the hot tub. Even with a rainy weekend, we didn’t mind staying indoors and just enjoying the house. The only hiccup during our stay was a non-functioning AC. Mari-Jo was so responsive and quick to try to fix the situation. Even though the AC couldn’t be fixed before our stay ended, which resulted in some uncomfortably warm nights, Mari-Jo kindly offered a partial refund for the inconvenience. All in all, a great weekend! Would stay here again. 😊

We cannot say enough good things about this host. We use Airbnb a lot and Melanie was above every other host. The home was well stocked with items like trash bags, dishwasher pods, toilet paper, towels and bedding. We had one little hiccup but Melanie was on it. With minutes of contacting her she replied and came out to the house and fixed the problem within an hour or so - mind you we were there over a holiday. The property is beautiful, we got a decent amount of snow but there was plenty to keep us busy. From games, pool table, hot tub, air hockey to dvd's. Our girls and husky loved walking through the woods in the snow. The kitchen allowed us to cook and just spend much need quality time together. We would recommend this property and Melanie to anyone looking for a great get-away. Honestly if we could we would give her a higher rating than 5 stars. Best host we have ever worked with.

Place was great! Tv could use a upgrade but other than that if was nice and cozy.

The house was very clean, comfortable, and organized. The woods surrounding the house are lovely. The neighborhood is peaceful. Julia was very flexible with us. She was accommodating, responsive, and pleasant! Thank you!

Extremely unique layout and design of house. The house easily accommodated our whole party and the deck, hot tub, River, and kitchens were wonderful. The house is fully stocked with all amenities that other AirBnBs often lack like towels, toiletries, kitchen appliances/basic spice/condiments. The property is densely forested and feels very secluded. Great stay.

FANTASTIC FIND!! Such a perfect place for a large group. Hosts have a done a great job of making a previous commercial property feel like a home. Truly an awesome find! The pool is an amazing amenity - remarkably huge, wonderfully heated and so much fun! Hours and hours of fun. Truly unique. So many in house activities available - pool table, b-ball toss, putting game, shuffleboard and tons of games. Was perfect for our group of teens. Six shower rooms with sinks/toilets and two more bathrooms made it easy to get the crew out quickly. :) The lockers were wonderful to keep necessities near the shower rooms - surprisingly helpful. Seemingly endless towels were greatly appreciated. Easy to Cadillac / Lake City restaurants and shopping. Convenient to day trip to slopes and summer fun, too. Compact kitchen had everything we needed and two other full size fridges allowed for more than enough space for our big group. Totally worth it; the hosts have made a great place!!

I stayed here with my two dogs for a week and a half or so --it was fantastic! The location is walkable to the beach, restaurants, walking paths, and shops. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. You really could not ask for more.

Brenda and Jim’s place is great if you are in the area as it’s very quiet and private, beautiful surroundings and not too far from TC or the Frankfort area. We spent the weekend for the local Ironman and it was the right choice. You get all the rest you need and are close enough to both the race venue and some other small towns with nice places to eat and chill. The property was very clean, well organized and really spacious. I’d totally recommend it.

Beautiful little house! It was so peaceful and we didn’t hear anything outside! We live out in the country so we don’t do good with lots of noise and it felt right at home while we were there! Great place!!

We had a lovely stay at Jennifer's place. The private entrance in the back of the house was very peaceful and the yard gorgeous. The apartment was clean and felt cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was a very quiet neighborhood. Definitely recommend the space!

My partner and I’s stay at Jeffrey and Holly’s suite was outstanding. The space felt incredibly homely, with cozy decor and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was spotless and well-equipped with snacks, coffee, beach amenities, you name it - and we loved using their kayaks for exploring Silver Lake. They were friendly and provided smooth check-in instructions. The price for the area far beats any hotel we could have booked considering how comfortable, clean, and private the unit was. As other reviews said, mechanical noises and footsteps can be heard, but this did not bother us at all. We loved this unit so much, we will probably check the availability for our next trip to TC. This was hands down the best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

This was a great stay! It’s close to downtown without being downtown. It was nice to be closer to nature with the ease of the city being a short commute. The place was exactly like the pictures and the host is very responsive.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Daphne & Will's gorgeous home. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement – their space was filled with tasteful decorations, thoughtful touches, and high-quality finishes and furnishings. There was no way we could use every amenity available on a short 3-day stay, but that's all the more reason to come back and enjoy the space again sometime in the future. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace, view of the trees and lake, and comfy sofa – perfect for a relaxing trip. Will and Daphne struck the perfect balance of responsiveness, giving space, and friendliness. Airbnb perfection.

Second time staying and would stay again. One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve been to across many states. Flexible, kind, and above and beyond hosts. Cozy, quiet and comfortable Airbnb that is spotless. This is such a gem!

Great place to get away from devices but still has WiFi for when you need to get in touch

perfect little getaway cabin! super happy they allowed dogs. we went on lots of hikes with our dogs even in the snow! it was warm and welcoming!

the petersons cabin is a great place! the cabin is rustic but very well put together, reminded me of going to deer camp when i was a boy. the cabin has basically everything you need for your stay. very quiet place to relax around the fire and is close to Houghton lake for some day activities. we will gladly return next year!

Beautiful cabin, we came in past check-in time and Lori was responsive, communicative, and accommodating. There was also a fire pit in front of the cabin. Super cozy!

Rachel's place was just the retreat I needed to unplug and disconnect up north. The cabin was beyond cozy and comforting. Be mindful that this still is an up north cabin and is rustic, but was worth every penny. I would be happy to rent Rachel's place in the future. The property is very secluded and private, creating the perfect up north getaway!
