Beachfront vacation rentals in Middlesex County

We had a wonderful getaway at this vacation home! It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature, with plenty of cute shops and charming spots to explore nearby. The house itself was very comfortable and well-suited for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

The cottage was as described and then some! The pictures showed a good sample of the property. The host was very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. There was a binder inside with recommendations for sights and places to see. We were able to enjoy the sunset off the pier while swimming in the water. The natural beauty and tranquility of the land made the stay so worthwhile.

Our 4 day girls trip could not have been better! This was the best spot to enjoy the Bay, the Beach, Small town and City life! The home was absolutely breathtaking, had everything we needed to move right in for our stay! They provided material for us to venture out and a fun environment to stay in! From board games, to movies, pool table, ping pong, basketball, poker, hot tub you name it they have it. The communication was quick, professional but extremely friendly! You walk in and it immediately felt like home. I would 10 out of 10 recommend! Miss it already! And don't forget to bring fruit and feed the turtles!

We had a wonderful week at Gwynn’s Island. Access to the private pier was perfect for morning coffee and fishing all day long. Gorgeous sunrise views on the deck and easy access to the beach. We can’t wait to come back!

Our multi-generational family loved our two weeks at Big Bay. The house is well-appointed and comfortable, and the beach, which you can see from the living room, dining room, and kitchen, is stunning. Water toys (paddle boards, floats, PFDs, chairs, etc.) are available in the garage under the house. There have been updates to the deck since the photos were taken - the side deck on the left of the house when you’re looking from the water is covered and screened with a table and the aforementioned outdoor kitchen. It’s a great place to enjoy the nice weather and catch the breeze without having to worry about the sun. Just in front of the screened-in area is a large, comfortable couch. Susan let us know before we arrived that a couple of the burners on the grill in the outdoor kitchen weren’t working & provided us a different grill from one of her other properties to use instead. We really appreciated that she was proactive and it was a great solution for our needs. We hope to return!

Such a perfect end of summer trip as two families of four. We spent almost the entire time outside, using the standup paddle boards at our small private beach, which is less than half a mile from the house and really easy to get to. The kids had so much fun, feeding the pigs and visiting the cows. We brought the kids bikes as all of the little back Roads were really fun to navigate, the kids said they would love to go back! The hosts were excellent, delicious ciders for the adults right next-door and we got ground beef and steaks from them for both the nights We were there to grill out.

Beautiful property. Wonderful host. Very quiet and the beach was perfect. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. An excellent place for our weekend getaway. Highly recommend.

My daughter found this gem online to book for my 65th birthday and a family get-together on the Northern Neck. We stay in Airbnb homes quite frequently all over the world and this is the loveliest home we've had the good fortune to stay in. Christine is the most gracious host and this home is special because she has made it that way for her family. It's a huge difference to stay in a vacation home that the host rents and a home that the host lives in. Christine's eye for beauty is exquisite and the home is comfortable as well as beautiful. It seldom happens that you say, "I wish the house had (fill in the blank)" and this house has it. The river is a gorgeous backdrop and there are kayaks to use. The saltwater pool is a great addition and a reason to hang at the house. And there is everything one needs to knock out a meal or if you don't want to cook, plenty of places to eat in the area. All in all, this house is a 15 out of 10!!

Wow.. where do I start? I have a strict heart healthy diet. Only whole grain products with no dairy, meat, nuts, and oil. Brenda communicated well before the start to make sure her special dinner and breakfast dishes met my requirements. Brenda did a magnificent job. Not were the meals outstanding, the setting for her air b&b is perfect. The Northern Neck is a special place in Virginia. Staying at Brenda’s “Perfect View” in the Northern Neck was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience!

This is the most peaceful place I have ever been. Feels like home, on the water, with a pool! The best!

Laughing King is a hidden gem—cozy, romantic, and perfect even in winter. MJ is fantastic, incredibly accommodating, and makes an unforgettable quiche and blueberry crumble. Nestled in a quiet, picturesque area of the Chesapeake Bay with plenty of land to explore, it even has private beach spots for a truly serene escape. A perfect getaway—we can’t wait to return in the on season.

It was a pleasure to be back at TLK,it is an amazing beautiful, place. The Entire Farm has stunning views of the bay, easy access to walking trails ,where you can enjoy astounding sunsets & sunrises.The estate feature’s a tree lined drive way right out of a movie scene. There are several clean comfortable porches to lounge & relax. The dry sauna is excellent.The Honeymoon suite was perfect, clean& spacious with quality linens & very comfortable mattress. The spa lavatory is spacious& immaculate. The home has a quiet soothing Relaxing energy. The kitchen is Outstanding,breath -taking water views, various cozy areas to sit. MJ is a delightful gracious host .The special Blend LKR coffee is a tasty treat. Breakfast each morning was delicious with pleasant conversion. The home is exquisitely decorated. The Laughing King (and the Honeymoon Island Cottage in particular) were fantastic! A wonderful quick getaway from DC for couples. The property is gorgeous - a farm with a historic old house that is the main lodge, surrounded by hundred-year-old oak trees, a standalone cottage (that we stayed in for 3 nights), open fields, a saltwater pool, and private beach with dock and a boat and SUPs for guest use. MJ serves up gourmet breakfasts (eggs Benedict, avocado toast, French toast, quiche, etc. over the course of our stay) + coffee in the morning and also dished out recommendations on local spots to visit. 100% will be back!

This was a wonderful getaway for my family and friends. We had two toddlers that loved the river beach and pool. There were plenty of toys to keep the kids and adults busy!

I can't say enough about how perfect this place was! I was so happily shocked by how clean it was, especially to be surrounded by sand! there was absolutely no smell, no dirt or dust. and the location? I had my two kids with me and they were able to walk to the little beach, to the turtle pond (highlight of my five-year-old's life!), and the dock, all with me being able to see them. I loved my morning coffee on the beach, or the screened in porch on the rainy morning. lots of places a short drive away, if you feel the urge to wander. truly a wonderful place, with friendly hosts. we are already planning our next visit!

If you're looking for a cozy and well-appointed house to get away from the world and its noise, this is the place...a fantastic setting where the Chesapeake and Rappahannock meet. The hosts are 1st class and full of knowledge about the area.

Wow! What a fabulous loft! Karin paid attention to every detail. The loft was well-stocked and had everything you need! Most impressive were the immaculate nature of the space and the VIEWS! The balcony was the best place for a morning cup of coffee...secluded, private, peaceful, and beautiful! This loft is brand new and so clean! Karin also allowed me to check out late and was an excellent communicator! Check in was easy and her directions were clear! Thanks for an amazing stay, Karin. I'll be booking next year, same time!

Our stay at this beautiful bayfront house was absolutely perfect for our girls' trip! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the water that made every morning feel magical. The house itself was clean, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved relaxing on the deck, soaking in the sunrise, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The host was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. If you're looking for the perfect getaway spot, this is it!

we had a great time. My family and I spent the week in Eventide visiting with my son, daughter in law and month old granddaughter who live in Saluda. Eventide was a perfect location and close to my son. The accommodation were great and even worked out well for my 91 year old grandmother. We would definitely like to return often for visits with family. Diane was a great host and so accommodating and responsive. You will not be disappointed. So peaceful and relaxing.

This spot was perfect for our 2 night stay!! Very welcoming space and very clean! Appreciated the snacks, bottles of water and the coffee and creamers that were there for us. A great touch of hospitality! Despite the heavy rain while we were there the outdoor view of the river from the small deck was so nice. A few steps to the back yard to see the whole view. The pull out sofa bed was nice and clean. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay. Ned and Holly are fantastic hosts!!

This is an amazing home to rent. It is peaceful and so scenic! The house accommodated six adults easily. The house was spotless and well appointed. All amenities and water toys were made very accessible. Overall, it is an amazing value if you are staying anywhere in the area!!

We had an amazing stay at Brian's home. The house was clean with comfy beds and was by far the best stocked home with everything a guest needs. The house is decorated to make you feel that your are in a loved home and not a stark rental. Great touches like binoculars to watch the traffic on the Chesapeake Bay. The best features however, are the amazing wide water views and the private, pristine beach. Finally, Brian is a responsive host who addressed a minor concern we had immediately. This is the one to book you will not be disappointed.
