We absolutely loved our stay at Oakwood Nature Retreat! The house has incredible character, and learning about its 80s origins and family history was fascinating. Our host was exceptional, providing excellent recommendations for local, family-friendly activities and hikes. The home is beautifully designed, remarkably well-stocked, and has a wonderfully peaceful feel. As a family from the suburbs near the Nation's Capital, we especially appreciated the unique craftsmanship – a welcome change from mass-built housing. It was perfect for our group (family of 5, grandparent, and dog!). We had so much fun exploring the local hikes, restaurants, and coffee shops, and our biking adventure was a highlight. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!

We came out to Morgantown to visit our daughter at WVU. The chalet had a very homey feel, I definitely felt like I had been there a while when I got there. The directions were easy to follow and we had no problems finding it. There was plenty of space to prepare meals inside, as well as entertain both inside and out. The furniture was in generally good condition and clean. The bathroom was well furnished and the dual shower was very nice. This place was a great place to base our visit and venture out into the surrounding countryside. In comparison to other rentals we have had over the years, this ranks as #2 in quality, value and overall satisfaction. We will be looking to rent this again on our next visit. Our only complaint was the musty smell. It was prevalent when you walked in, but left quickly. When we arrived home, we could smell it on our clothes. It was very rainy while we were there and we'd like to give the owners the benefit of the doubt.

The Mallow AirBnb is underrated. For one thing, the near and far hillside views are real. The kitchen is underrated because it is actually very well equipped. The countertops plus countertop seating added with the very huge table and seating totally display a tremendous amount of space. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are well equipped, spacious and neat. The deck is on 2 levels. Both levels are very spacious and very neat. Everything is very clean and relaxing. Jen and Brian are very responsive. We found a small roadside store (and gas station) that makes many types of sandwiches and meals. The store opens maybe 4:30 AM and is about 20 minutes away and next to Dollar general in Albright, WV.

We had a great time at Gabriel's place! We felt like college students again staying here while visiting our son at WVU! We hiked nearby and walked to local brewery and downtown. We also loved relaxing on the porch in the morning with our coffee! Great view of the river and whole downtown! We would stay here again.

We adored this cozy little home, the back porch along the river is very peaceful and relaxing. the host was very kind and communicative as well as the bed being very comfortable. We would most definitely return again if we ever came back to the area.

Beautiful home. The location was wonderful. We had a quick in and out trip, and Kelli was very accommodating. Communication was also great, very responsive. It’s on our list of places to return to. 3 deer also graced me with their presence while having my morning coffee.

The photos don’t do this place any justice! It’s incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable. It’s very quiet there and completely private for those wanting to get away from it all. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked, and everything was very clean. The sauna and hot tub were easy to enjoy and the shower is incredible! I didn’t want to leave and will definitely go back in the future.

Nice place. Clean and private. Bought 15 minutes to everywhere we went in Morgantown but that’s what we wanted! Would recommend.
