You'll love the area, the countryside next to the city, the UNAM student atmosphere and a very active bike path. There are beautiful landscapes around, you can visit the dam and the lake of Umecuaro and if you plan to go to Patzcuaro or the beach you are already on the way there. Getting to downtown Morelia is easy and fast, I'll tell you how later.
