Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Menai Strait

The location is down single lanes and we were busy reserving some of the time, but Pete’s directions were great and very clear. Hazel was very helpful on site when we tripped the electric. The site was clean and quiet, other campers were polite and friendly. The amenities were clean and functional, if a little dated. We struggled for phone signal which was prefect for switching off. Thank you Pete, have recommended your place to friends already.

Our weekend break didn’t go to plan but the short time I did get to spend at the hut was so peaceful, it was clean, the hot tub was great all in all was a lovely place to stay, I do hope to book again in the near future and get to experience it thoroughly in all its glory.

I could not recommend this place more!The accommodation was brilliant for a weekend get away. The hut was cosy, clean, private and equipped with anything you could possibly need throughout the stay. Rachael and Alan were amazing and always helpful with any requests. The highlight was definitely the wood burning hot tub to relax and watch the stars in the evening. The location of the site is brilliant being around a 15minute drive from so many attractions and local villages whilst keeping a quiet countryside feel whilst on site. I could not fault this accommodation and I would definitely visit this place again.

The best Easter Weekend spent at the hut! Had everything we needed and more. Lots of little attention to detail and extras. It was 4 days we’ll never forget. Cerys was so helpful and lovely! Myself, my husband and our 8 year old had the best time and can’t recommend enough. Big thank you to Cerys’s gorgeous twin girls that were the best tour guides and friend to our daughter. We really didn’t want to go home. We’ll be back 🩷 xx

We stayed at Ffarm Fach and it was our favourite trip we have ever done, the Shepard’s hut is absolutely gorgeous, the views are unbelievable and our stay was amazing! We loved it here and can’t wait to return! Thank you so much Fran!

Beautiful place in fabulous location. Met by Jane on arrival who walked us down to the pod and explained how everything worked. Pod was spotless, cosy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and it was so relaxing listening to the birds and looking at the stars. 100% would recommend and stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at the hobbit house. Such a fun, quirky and memorable place to stay (especially with kids), and in a peaceful and private setting with lovely views. We loved relaxing by the fire pit in the evening and sipping our morning tea while watching the lambs in the field. Mike provided clear instructions so check-in was a doddle. Highly recommended!

Fabulous shepherds hut in beautiful surroundings, lovely and private. Trish met us on arrival to give us a quick tour and show us a walk down to the main road. Also some little treats inside the hut, which was a lovely touch.

Such a beautiful location ! Was very peaceful and private. The hot tub was a perfect touch after walking Snowdon ! Clear instructions for arrival where given. Not too far from Barmouth. We stayed for a couple of nights, just wish it could have been longer ! Couldn’t recommend enough, we will be back.

Louise is an excellent host and has really thought of everything. The accommodation itself was really comfortable and had everything we needed. Louise went above and beyond. There were some great recommendations on the list provided and we had a really nice dinner in the potted lobster. The views were incredible and I hope to return again

Arrived at Tan-y-capel hideaway and was immediately greeted by our hosts Rebecca and David, both were very friendly and we felt very welcome, we were showed to the shepherds hut which is a very short walk from where you park, they do provide a clean wheelbarrow to transport your items from the car to the hut which is very thoughtful and convenient. The hut is located in its own field and is completely private, there is a flower meadow on the walk towards the hut and the view from the property is beautiful. we were provided with a bottle of prosecco and some homemade cookies upon entering which is a really nice touch and we felt very welcomed, we were left to our own devices but told to contact if we needed anything. the place was absolutely spotless and I have no complaints about cleanliness whatsoever. the hot tub was constantly on and ready to use and David showed us how to use it. The hut was plenty warm enough with heating there if needed. We also met George the Goat ❤️

Where to begin! A heavenly stay from start to finish. Stunning location, beautiful hut - clearly designed and built with love and attention to every detail. Mark and Jonathan could not have been more kind and welcoming. Sitting and watching the sunset from Elen has to go down as one of my happiest, most memorable moments. Loved the firepit and cosy wood burner. Didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back - absolutely perfect in every way. Thank you Mark and Jonathan for being so lovely. See you soon x

Great place in great location, small but everything you need

Great 2 night stay here! Very clean accommodation and friendly staff! Lovely cake upon arrival baked but the hosts aswell. Would reccomend for a short stay in snowdonia

We loved our stay at the private riverside Shepards Hut. It is situated in the most peaceful, beautiful location away from everything, if that’s what you’re looking for. We loved being surrounded by the farm animals too. Hosts Ned and Teleri were very quick to respond and gave recommendations on places to go. The hut itself has everything you need inside along with the stove that kept us very warm! We would defiantly love to return again😊 Thank you for our stay x

We had the most incredible stay at the Anglesey Hideaway Shepherds Hut. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome we’ve ever experienced. The hut is beautifully designed, peaceful, and the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nothing could have prepared us for the tranquility of waking up to those stunning views—watching the sunrise and sunset in such a serene setting was beyond blissful. The animals on the property added so much charm to our stay, and we especially fell in love with Ozwald (my partner is still joking about sneaking him home with us!). Everyone on the Anglesey Hideaway team was so friendly and helpful, always quick to respond to our queries and full of great local recommendations, especially for places to eat. We were also greeted with fresh eggs from their chickens and freshly ground coffee, which was the sweetest touch and made us feel so welcomed. Thank you for creating such a magical little getaway. What a wonderful few days. The weather was glorious and the pod was perfect for me. Enough room to lounge about on a lazy morning, small enough to feel cozy. I didn’t need anything for the kitchen, fully equipped! Pristine bathroom with a powerful hot shower. Seats on the porch or at the side of the pod, sheltered from the wind, homemade Welsh cakes and a cup of tea and admiring the Welsh mountains made for an easy way to switch off and relax. Katherine and Elfed are just lovely, chatting away about everything from politics to goats! Nothing was too much trouble, even when I dropped the key down the decking, they were with me in minutes. The robins, rabbits, sheep, goats, chickens and dogs make for an excellent alternative to the tv! Highly recommend visiting for all of the above reasons, but also as it’s in the perfect position for visiting the whole of Anglesey. Thank you!

Spent a lovely weekend here, the views were unreal. Not much to do in Harlech but beautiful towns in the surrounding areas which we drove to. The hot tub with the sea view was amazing! The hosts were extremely responsive and friendly. Two lovely little cats kept us company. We really enjoyed our stay, felt like a little home away from home ☺️
