Experience in a Tunisian palace: the Beya room

NawalRating, 5 stars8 months ago
As with other stays at Arbia's: everything was royal. The places, the welcome, its availability and kindness... nothing to complain about these few days spent in the house except that not going there is a mistake. Now you know 🤍
A sunlit street scene is displayed, featuring traditional white buildings with distinctive arched windows. Parked cars line the side, and a few people can be seen nearby, some seated. A large tree casts shade, enhancing the residential character of the area.

Traditional and cosy Private room

I had the most incredible experience. The house is a stunningly beautiful historical Tunisian house, the pictures really don’t do it justice. The Kotti family welcomed me so warmly, like a member of the family, and went light years beyond expectations to make me comfortable. They brought me breakfast on a tray each morning, invited me to eat an amazing home-cooked meal with them every night, packed me a lunch, and even insisted on washing my clothes and straightening up the room for me. Their cooking is far better than what you can get in the local restaurants, and they always asked me what I’d like them to make, and patiently taught me how to make a few dishes. Fatima (the daughter) has native-level fluency in English. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk away from the historical old city, as well as the national archives/library and a university library for anyone doing research. The room is beautiful an the sofas in the courtyard under an orange tree are so peaceful.

Dar 24, Tunis Medina

Extraordinary accommodation. Just like in the photos, with the atmosphere as well. Breakfasts just the way we like them . Everyone found their place in this big house with crazy charm. We regret that we could not stay longer but the main purpose of our visit was a wedding... Selim is very warm and friendly. We'll know where to stay if we return to Tunisia.
A traditional courtyard is revealed, featuring intricate blue tiles and potted plants. A stairway leads to the upper level, while a decorative archway provides access to a shaded sitting area adorned with patterned fabrics. Sunlight softly illuminates the scene, enhancing the tranquil ambiance.

Large private room in the heart of Tunis

I was a guest of Haifa in the ancient medina of Tunis and I had a great time. I was greeted with kindness and professionalism. The place is great and close to the main attractions of the medina. In addition, it is close to Bab Bhar, a place from where you can call a taxi and reach any place. It was a wonderful trip!
