The historic 1830s log cabin, nestled within a healing and restorative prairie setting, is thoughtfully decorated with vintage furnishings to transport visitors back in time, yet fully equipped with modern amenities for a cozy and relaxing stay. Perfect for families, couples, or “me” time, the cabin is conveniently located between the historic communities of Woodstock, IL and Lake Geneva, WI, where there is something for everyone, with shopping, dining, culture, and adventure just minutes away.

The Fox Den / Midcentury A-frame

Our A-Frame is a mid-century gem with everything you envision in a cabin, plus all the comforts of home. It features a private dock with access to the Fox River and the Chain of Lakes, as well as direct entry to the Silver Creek Conservation Area. Located between the Fox River and the northern end of the Silver Creek Conservation Area, it’s only 1:15 from Chicago and 1:30 from Milwaukee. The ideal spot for a couple’s retreat, a small family adventure, or a solo escape to reconnect with nature.

Waterfront Cottage/sauna/kayaks/firepit/dock

Enjoy some time away at this peaceful cottage on the Fox River. There is a dock with jet ski lift and kayaks available to guests. Large deck with ample seating. There is a sand beach with volleyball court and playground within walking distance of home. Many places to dine and shop nearby. Some nice resteraunts on the water. Local attractions nearby including Norge Ski Club, Bettendorf Castle, Three Oaks Rec, ect. Fire pit next to river with wood included. Amazing sunset view and steam sauna.

Sanctuary Woodland Guest House!

Our guest house is located on a picturesque 5 acres, next to a woodland forest. We also run a bird sanctuary on the property, Georgia's Place Bird Sanctuary, which makes this a paradise for an animal lover! We are happy to give guests a tour of our sanctuary. There is a large deck and fire pit for an enjoyable evening, and a walking trail for wildlife enthusiasts! We kindly ask guests not to bring meat onto the property as we are running a sanctuary that promotes compassion for all animals.

The newly remodeled water front 4 bd 2 bath home is within walking distance of Algonquin’s fabulous "Old Town District", restaurants, pubs and entertainment. Likewise, the gorgeously landscaped River Park is a short stroll away, giving one much to see and do. The residence feature a beautiful kitchen; large dining area adjoins the kitchen as does a brightly sun shined living room complete with big glass doors overlooking the water. A picturesque living for both work and play awaits!
