Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. It’s no wonder Patty & Tom have such stellar reviews! Their cabin is one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Close to all Floyd has to offer, everything was meticulously thought of: fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, water & snacks, and little touches -as a woman I really appreciated. I worked from the cabin the entire week, as the desk was the perfect spot to hold meetings and enjoy the view of the snow falling as well as the fireplace in the living room. Our bedroom was cozy, the period furniture all about the cabin adding a sense of whimsy. Each evening we cooked in the spacious, well equipped kitchen and enjoyed our meals at the dining room table. Best of all, Patty and Tom are gracious, kind, and the kind of hosts that Airbnb should strive for. We look forward to visiting Patty, Tom, and the Cabin again!

Melba's little cabin is amazing. Don't just stay somewhere nice, stay somewhere unique and wonderful! From the custom details in the house to the adorable animals just across the fence (especially the little pig), this cabin was a heartwarming, peaceful experience we'll never forget. Close to great dining, too and of course Smith Mountain Lake. Thank you, Melba and family. We hope to come back.

Pieter and Jenna's place was ideal for us after a day of hiking. Peaceful, quiet and close to the AT. Price was very reasonable in comparison to others and it was not a hotel. We just needed an overnight quiet place to sleep, make dinner and breakfast and back on the trail and then back home. Our goal was not to hang out, but it might have been nice to use or bring a Solo Stove Fire Pit. Their place was VERY clean, looked new, easy check in and check out. Not a big fridge or microwave but worked just fine for our needs. There is no door between the bathroom/laundry room and the bedroom, just small swinging saloon doors. Which is fine, as long as you understand that you don't have the kind of privacy you may be used to at home. All-in-all, it was a nice place to stay and would come back again.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings on the porch listening to the birds and the cows. Walking through the orchards and feeding the goats and donkey was a great surprise. It was the perfect get away to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet. The recommendations given were perfect as well. We enjoyed dinner at Vito’s and lunch AND dinner at Woodruff’s Cafe & Pies! We will definitely will return!

It's a lovely, well-maintained cabin with lots of nice touches and conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Roanoke as well as restaurants and a grocery store a short drive away. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen has numerous amenities. the wifi worked well, the hosts were responsive and the three porches offer a nice view of the creek. That said, I almost held back a star because it wasn't as secluded as we'd hoped for our brief getaway. There's a house directly across the creek and visible from all three porches as well as a few points within the cabin, and there are other homes close by. If you're looking for complete seclusion, this isn't it. But it is a quiet at night -- and during the day, with the exception of some landscaping work at the hosts' house across street -- and close to places you'll need or want to visit. All in all, it was a good stay, so five stars it is.

Another wonderful Christmas week vacation at your cabin. The hot water was endless, the Christmas tree and decorations were awesome again, and we really loved the security gate at the base of the mountain road going up to your property! we cooked a standing rib roast with all the trimmings! we also hiked at the Raptor Observatory and around the property roads. Every morning and evening we saw between 7-14 turkey and/or deer! we liked the new trash shed out back as well....plenty of room and clean as always! This is our favorite cabin in WV; in the fall you were booked and we stayed elsewhere and it was nice, but your property is more to our liking due to all the privacy and peace and quiet. We will soon be booking for our spring/summer trip and we plan to bring our mountain bikes and do some riding. Thanks again Tammy and Benny for making our holiday! Happy New Year!
