Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mazzeo

Sergio’s villa was the most beautiful place that we have ever stayed. Olive and citrus trees right in the yard and pristine views of Mount Etna. Restaurants, coffee, shops, and pharmacies were all within short walks from the home. I would stay again in a heartbeat, if Sergio would have us.

The apartment was very modern and clean. It is centered nearby the castle - note that the streets are pretty small in the center of the village, so it's better when you have a small car. Also, the road from Catania to Montalbano are very curvy and damaged at the end.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine en famille en Sicile. Zuzana et Alessandro sont des hôtes au top. Accueillants, gentils, et toujours prêts à nous donner de bons conseils pour des visites. L'appartement est vraiment très bien situé, propre, bien équipé et le jardin est magnifique. Bref, nous recommandons !

The check-in was flexible and easily arranged. The villa was beautiful and very comfortable for two couples, located outside of the city which makes it easy to unplug and relax. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Carlo was a super friendly host. We felt welcome in the truest sense of the word. We were greeted by him personally with a huge bowl of fresh fruit and a homemade cake! Carlo was very concerned about our well-being and gave us lots of great tips and recommendations for the region. The house with the large garden in a very quiet location offers a great view of Mount Etna and at the same time you can hear the sound of the sea. The house is very tastefully furnished, very clean and comfortable. As soon as it got dark, we enjoyed the view of Mount Etna from the fireplace. We would love to come back at any time and can highly recommend this accommodation.

Ohne die genauen Angaben zur Anreise durch die Vermieterin hätten wir die Unterkunft nicht gefunden. Das liegt zum einen an der schlechten Ausschilderung, zum anderen an den kleinen, maroden Straßen. Cinzia war eine äußerst aufmerksame Gastgeberin, die sich um unsere Wünsche gekümmert hat und unsere vielen Fragen zu ihrem Projekt, zu Sizilien beantwortete. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung war hochwertig und nachhaltig, was uns wirklich beeindruckte. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit! Annette

We had a fantastic eight day stay in Mario’s wonderful villa. The location and views are incredible and we would highly recommend staying here. Mount Etna even erupted and put on a display (which was fabulous to witness) and Mario was hot on the phone telling us to get outside at 11pm to view the spectacle. A perfect venue with lots of space for our large party of eight adults and two children, the surrounding patios gave amazing panoramic views of the sea and countryside. We loved picking fresh oranges and cherries daily which was so relaxing and tasty! It’s a short 15 minute walk to the local town with a wonderful bakery and butchers plus supermarkets all accessable. We will definitely return to this wonderful villa when revisiting Sicily and I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Mario .

The apartment was spotless and very central. Within walking distance of all the main tourist areas in Catania and the cathedral is literally 1 minute away. Some lovely restaurants nearby too. The roof terrace is a very big, fantastic outdoor space. Only downside was the noise from the bars at night, but to be honest, this stopped about midnight and most nights we enjoyed visiting them anyway.

We loved our stay at the apartment. Perfect location right in the centre with amazing views from the balcony! Thanks again :)

Concetta was very engaged since we made the reservation. she helped us plan our visit to Naxos and Taormino. She was very accommodating with our travel timing. Her recommendations for boat rental, local travel, restaurants,... were all spot on we enjoyed all of them. She even stopped by to touch base, help us with our stay, and the travels. Her place is very conveniently located to all the activities,stores and public transport.

Sehr entspanntes Anwesen direkt am Etna - etwas rustikaler aber mit sehr viel Charme. Wir waren mit Baby hier und haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt und die ruhige Berglage genossen. Vor Ort gab es alles, was wir brauchten und auch die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Ende Mai war es dort auf 700m Höhe noch etwas frisch, weshalb wir den Pool nicht wirklich nutzen konnten. Ich denke am besten kommt man hier im Sommer hin, wenn es an der Küste schon zu heiß ist und man vor der Hitze fliehen will. Wir konnten den großen Außenbereich aber trotzdem sehr geniessen. Ein Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich und die Anfahrt von der Küste ist stellenweise steil, kurvig und zieht sich ziemlich hin - da hat man nicht sehr oft Bock drauf.. Wir haben auch deshalb nur jeden zweiten Tag Ausflüge gemacht und ansonsten viel am Haus entspannt. Andrea war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und obwohl er selbst in den Urlaub gefahren ist, sehr gut zu erreichen.

Melania è stata gentile e disponibile da subito. La casa è super carina e comoda. Immersa nel parco naturale, vicina alle gole dell'Alcantara. Tranquilla e rilassante ma comunque non distante al centro abitato. La famiglia di Melania, che abita al piano di sotto, si è resa disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. Torneremo molto volentieri e lo consiglierò ad amici.

Magnifique séjour avec une vue sur l’Etna depuis la terrasse (avec une éruption en plus!)! Super communication (même si je ne parlais pas italien) avec Césare, qui nous rappelle qu’il faut être « tranquilo » ;) Petites attentions pour le petit déjeuner et il nous a même guidé à pied pour aller manger chez les mamme del borgo. Merci !☺️

Giuseppe est un hôte exceptionnel, très serviable et disponible. Le village de Motta Camastra est très agréable et la vue sublime. Nous avons eu la chance d'y être pendant les 2 jours de la fête du village donc nous avons pu profiter des concerts, feux d'artifice, processions, illuminations et fanfare. L'appartement est très fonctionnel, bien placé dans le village et permet de profiter des différentes visites à faire aux alentours dont l'Etna. On regrette de ne pas y rester plus longtemps!

This place is in a great location. A 10-minute walk and elevator ride gets you right to the action of beautiful Taormina. We loved having a dedicated parking spot and a patio with a view. Elisa was a fabulous host and provided lots of thoughtful extras like coffee and snacks. Highly recommend.

We were two Canadian couples staying for 5 nights (after visiting Milano/Genova), with a car that we rented at Catania airport. We arrivred at 9PM but our host Nando was communicating us and received us in person. Upon arrival, fridge had some complimentary sandwiches, juice drinks and snacks, and a delicious homemade cake. Lovely place, peaceful, spacious, additional to detail, comes as advertised. Beautiful 180 degree view, when sitting outside by the pool, and even from main salon/kitchen. Loved the bedrooms and in particular the high quality mattresses and sheets. Made good use of the washing machine as we had a lot of laundry from our first week in Italy. Nando was very thoughful and proactive in checking in on us and suggesting places to visit and eat at. Good location, about a 10-15 minute drive to Taormina parking and a short drive to get on highway to visit Mount Etna or Syracuse/Ortigia. We had a wonderful stay in Sicily, thank you Nando!

The villa is great, and the garden and pool are huge and very attractive, and also well maintained. Paul is an excellent host, friendly and responsive. You definitely need a car here as there are no pavements on the road outside the gates and the traffic whizzes along it. The local town, Trecastagni, is nice, with bars, restaurants and shops of all sorts. Overall our stay was excellent. The only downside was a building site next door that was noisy and created fumes and dust during the week, but I guess that won't be forever. Already missing it, the morning swim especially, and of course the sight (and sound) of Etna. Highly recommended. Visit Taormina while you're there. And try the Etna DOC wines.

Excellent à proximité de Taormina. Parfait pour visiter la ville mais revenir dans lieu tranquille. Parfait pour expédition sur l’Etna. Le stationnement, la vue, la piscine sont des atouts.

Helgas place exceeded our expectations. We had family of 7 and the apartment is spacious and very comfortable with an amazing view . The location is quiet whilst being only a few minutes walk from the town centre . We had a problem with the shower head and it was sorted within a couple of hours . Great service . We had one of the most memorable stays in our travel experience, at Francesco's house. Set in a beautiful remote location but a short drive to the nearest town, with the vineyards as your garden and mount Etna as the backdrop. The house and all the amenities in it were spotless. We were traveling with a toddler and were kindly offered a crib. And otherwise, there was everything we needed at the house. Francesco greeted us in Gaggi and led us to the house, but you can also find it easily on Google Maps. The house has no neighbors and the area is very quiet and peaceful, except for some birds and cows outside the gate. The biggest highlight of our stay, of course, was Francesco's and his family's generosity in telling us about the area, offering oranges from the garden and making us feel like part of the family. We'll never forget our time here - thank you!

Het Castello in Mascalucia was het verblijf meer dan waard. Hartelijke gastvrouw en gastheer maakten ons wegwijs in dit pareltje aan de voet van de Etna. Heel bijzonder zo’n oase in het bruisende dorpsleven. We kwamen helemaal tot rust. Dank aan Claudia. Van harte aan bevolen!

Merci Claudia, les instructions pour l'arrivée et le depart était très simple et flexibles. L'appartement était très calme, avec une belle vue, et un environnement agréable au milieu des citronniers et des cycas ! L'appartement est très bien équipé et nous n'avons manqué de rien, c'était un très bon choix pour notre famille avec nos 2 derniers enfants. La piscine etait un peu fraiche à cette saison, mais nous nous sommes quand même baigné. J'imagine que ce doit être exceptionnel l'été de retour d'une randonnée sur l'Etna autour d'un barbecue ! Nous avons apprécié la fonctionnalite de l'appartement, prendre le petit déjeuner au soleil sur la terrasse face à la mer, la quiétude des lieux et la vue sur l'Etna depuis la piscine. Great apartment with a nice view of Isola Bella! Everything was very clean and the hosts were really friendly. We especially enjoyed the pool!
