If you want to see the countryside and meet the real people, the locals of Ireland and be surrounded by beauty, plants, gardens, cows, sheep, and friendly people. This is a place to stay. It’s in a beautiful area. I had the most peaceful relaxing week and Shannon’s home was beautiful.

Recently we stayed in Carme's place for two nights and it was a home away from home. The house is beautiful, spacious and cosy and it boasts a beautiful view of Croagh Patrick. I loved seeing the cows in the field while having my breakfast and the family sheep dog is so friendly. Thank you Carmel for your delicious home baked bread, jam and your farm eggs. It was such a lovely and welcoming gesture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our only regret was that we only stayed for 2 nights! We will just have to come back!

The cottage was very comfortable, very well equipped and great to have en suite bedrooms. On arrival, we were so grateful for the milk, butter, soda bread and jam to have with a cuppa. The wine was an unexpected bonus!! Newport was a great location for us to investigate Achill Island and the surrounding area. The Centro shop just over the bridge is very well stocked. There's a nice walk around the harbour road and back to the village with great sunsets. Despite being next to the pub and road, there was no noise. The pub had live music on our last night which was great. The Museum of Country Life is worth a visit and is free! Communication with Lourda was excellent. I would definitely recommend Waterfront Cottage and like to come back to Newport.

This place we just what we needed. Everything was clean and had all the amenities we could need. Within walking distance from the downtown area, it was very peaceful as well. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

A great place for a week away from it all. The house is clean, warm and dry which are what you need on the west coast. Great location right on the lake but also close to Clonbur and Cong with lots of options to eat and drink a good Guinness. Would definitely recommend.

Husband, myself and 2 sons had a fabulous stay. The house was beautiful; even better than the pictures. It sits high up a country road with fantastic views. It’s off the beaten path but it only adds to its appeal. The furnishings, kitchen/baths,beds are all high quality and comfortable. Had an amazing stay in this house, lovely outside space with big table and bbq, house was pristine throughout and spotless when we arrived, had a problem with power outside and it was sorted straight away for us. House is in a lovely location with and amazing view over the mountains. House is just outside Westport with taxis easy got in and out of town only took 5 minutes. Lovely area with a variety of restaurants and pubs. Would 100% this home to stay in for a few days away is perfect for all your needs

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Marie's very much! Could have stayed longer. Everything was clean, the beds very comfortable. It's a little ways outside of Westport so it's a perfect combination of quiet and peaceful but still with plenty to do close by. We spent lots of time in the living room just enjoying the amazing view. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. Hopefully we can stay again one day!

When I think of a warm welcome to Ireland, Eileen's place comes right to mind. The home is so beautiful and kept so clean! Eileen is VERY wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and kind. And the views from her home are just breath taking! Absolutely LOVED that horses were just right there in the backyard Thank you Eileen for an absolutely unforgettable stay!

What can I say, it is a wonderful property, the views are spectacular. Very comfortable bed. Mary was so warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. We enjoyed sitting looking out at the wonderful view, seeing the lights across Lough Corrib, I’m sure that image will stay with us for a very long time. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Mary und Eamonn sind sehr offene, freundliche Gastgeber. Die Unterkunft hatte alles, was wir brauchten, besonders die kuschlige Bettdecke und die Heizdecke schätzten wir sehr 😉. Auch war es toll, dass wir Holz für den kleinen Ofen vorfanden. So wurde es sehr gemütlich. Der Fluss-Pfad ist wunderschön. Wir haben die Auszeit hier sehr genossen.

Un logement simple et authentique, bien placé et dans un site remarquable près d’un lac et de la mer. Un accueil de qualité par une hôte sympa et très amicale. Un accueil avec des œufs et un cake maison. Très chouette !

Die Unterkunft war wirklich sehr schön. Es war ruhig, der Ort ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet, wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Danke an Susan und Leo für den freundlichen Empfang. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt.

Amazing location by the sea, lovely to watch the island ferries coming and going from the pier, from the comfort of the sunroom. We were unlucky with the weather but the views of the wild sea were stunning and the house is very spacious, we never felt cramped, even after a few days of being indoors. It’s a very well-equipped house and so relaxing, not burdened with loads of rules, just a few basic sensible requests. And it’s dog friendly, always important! Nicky answered our few queries promptly. Looking forward to staying again, the sooner the better!

Located in a private forest, Finola's estate is a living history. It's my first time staying in such an old building. A quiet country road takes us into the woods, then the fountain welcomed us, just like entering an elegant Victorian film. The house is equipped with all modern facilities and even a bathtub. The first day, the wifi was not functioning, but Finola helped promptly. Minor flaws: the cups were not cleanly washed, and providing toiletries would make it even more perfect.

Great apartment: spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Gerry and family were very helpful and responsive. This was our second visit to the apartment and it was just as good as the first. Highly recommended.

Incredible house and surroundings. Definitely the nicest place I have ever stayed in. We all had an incredible weekend here in Westport. Rachel was an excellent host and gave us great local recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Breath taking views out over the bay from the house. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Westport.
