Vacation rentals in Maxville

This was our second time staying at Sheila’s, we felt right at home. Thank you for everything!

Our trip was for skiing at Mount St Marie (btw we liked the mountain- well groomed, not crowded and reasonably priced lift tickets) - we liked this small and cozy cottage - it was only 7 min away by car - good accommodation for skiers.

Barbara a été une hôte adorable, flexible sur les horaires ce qui nous a permis de profiter au maximum, réactive lorsque nous avions des questions. Nous nous sommes vraiment senti accueillis et choyés. Merci beaucoup!

We had a wonderful stay for a ski weekend (four adults, two kids). It was cozy, welcoming, and the wood fireplace added such a charming touch—perfect for warming up after a day on the slopes. The location was excellent for skiing, and the hosts made everything easy. I’d definitely stay here again!

This was an excellent place for our group of 8, lots of space and equipped with everything. It was really nice to have the hot tub under a shelter, the kitchen and living areas were spacious. The two separate eating areas were ideal for the group , lovely scenery , and excellent location.

What a beautiful and clean house! We visited in April, so I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the summer. The house is as in the pictures, and was squeaky clean! It was also very spacious and can easily accommodate a large family. The house has beautiful views and very sunny. One of the showers was leaky when used and water was getting into the bedroom downstairs but host was communicative. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend it to others!

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

This is an excellent cottage—super clean, with a lake view, located in a very calm and relaxing area. There’s a store just a 2-minute drive away that has everything we needed. Majid is a great host and provided us with everything we could possibly need. The cottage is maintained and equipped as if it were for his own use. He’s also very welcoming. I highly recommend this place—we’ll definitely come back!
