We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

Snorkelling paradise! Nikos and the Stone House were both great. The house is small, but has everything you need, with the pool and BBQ area where we spent most of our time, and the steps down to the sea lead to a perfect spot for snorkelling, where we saw all sorts of types of sea life. Nikos was there with everything we needed, including recommendations of beaches / restaurants etc. Ierepetra is a much nicer town than people say and the Stone House is a 5 minute drive into town. You could walk, but we didn't. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful house and garden located in a gorgeous region of Crete. The house itself is very charming, clean and well equipped. Several great beaches, hiking trails and taverns nearby. Communication with Harry was very pleasant. We would love to visit again sometime.

We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.

Very quiet place with amazing views. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is well equipped and has everything your heart desires. In the surrounding villages are very beautiful beaches, which were hardly visited, as well as small tavernas with super tasty and cheap food. We felt very comfortable.

The place was spotless, clean, and tidy. Pamela welcomed us for our short stay in Heraklion. We were well settled there, about fifteen minutes' drive from the city center and 10 minutes from the airport, which made it easier to organize the end of our stay.

Casa Riza was a five star home away from home. The house itself is beautifully situated in the mountains, with the most glorious views through huge (clean) glass picture windows ensuring you make the most of the crystal blue seas and cloudless skies every day. We found it to be the most stylish home with immaculately maintained amenities, flowers on the coffee table (changed halfway through our stay!) - and it was all exceptionally clean and welcoming. Decoratively it was mix of old and new, making it homely and perfectly functional for a family of four. The pool was cold - but that didn’t stop the kids using it several times a day. Our hosts were amazing - we had tonnes of helpful, local recommendations and a food shop done for us with everything we needed, plus treats like Easter eggs for the kids and local jams and honeys - all laid out when we arrived. If you’re planning a trip to Crete I highly recommend staying here, a visit to Milonas gorge and Tersa beach also 5 star! ♥️

We loved the place very much. It was wonderful to be right on the water and the small restaurants left nothing to be desired. We felt very comfortable.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The view of the water is absolutely beautiful. The host was incredibly helpful and even assisted us in booking our car rental for the vacation. The place was clean and well-maintained. The location is also great, with restaurants just a short walk away.

I’m not sure where to start, this felt more like a 5 star hotel experience than Air BNB. Greeted by Dimitris’s lovely wife who showed us around the entire property! They’d left snacks and drinks in the fridge, gifts for us to enjoy and even amenities in the bathroom. The villa was absolutely spotless, not a spec of dust or dirt. The private beach area is like something from a movie and there are two sandy beaches less than 100m away that are also stunning. Dimitris was there for us day and night, answering any questions and helping us make the most of the holiday. We couldn’t ask for any more of a host, he and his wife are simply amazing people. The Villa is in an amazing location with a local restaurant around a 10 minute walk away and the town itself is also walkable however we chose taxis which Dimitris offered to arrange for us! He can even help you with a hire car and ensure you’re not a victim of tourist prices. You’ll be missing out if you don’t stay here!

We had a great stay and the place was super equipped for the shortness of our stay. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and super clean. The veranda and the view are a great highlight. The only downside: the busy road right in front of the house. Unfortunately, it's quite noisy. Otherwise, our hostess was very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully furnished apartment. The kitchen is especially well equipped, and there is air conditioning in every room, which made our stay very comfortable. The view over the city and the sea is stunning, and the apartment offers a lot of privacy. Dimitris was always attentive and made sure that everything was perfect for us and that we had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Me and my family had a wonderful time at Maria’s. The private balcony was amazing. Maria was a wonderful host providing us with lots of snacks and was very communicative. This is a great stay for a relaxing holiday. We would definitely stay again!

The stay was great. The location with this beautiful view directly on the sea was outstanding! We felt like at home and the children loved it too. We were always able to reach out to Karolos and he gave us great tips for restaurants and things to do. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

Staying at Maria and her wonderful husband's house was simply overwhelming. The village of Charaso is a beautiful village in the mountains and incredible for relaxation. The couple welcomed us as warmly as the inhabitants of Crete are. We fell in love with the local pastries that were provided to us and the recommendation for the restaurant Gia mas was really worth its weight in gold. Nowhere on the island have we received such loving mezze for so little money. The neighbors were also so incredibly hospitable. Very special greetings go to Eleftheria (I hope that's how you spell it), we miss you very much. We also hope that every visitor will take some cat food with them. Finally, we can only say: nowhere could we have experienced the real Cretan lifestyle better than in our cozy house in the great village of Charaso. We just fell in love.

We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation in Dimitri's apartment. The apartment is fantastically beautiful and tastefully decorated, with high-quality furniture and nothing is really missing. The terrace has a unique beautiful view of the sea and we spent many beautiful hours there. Dimitris is super friendly, always available and with helpful tips for excursions, restaurants, etc. he helped us a lot. He also arranged the transfer from the airport for us and it worked out just fine. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance and the bus station is just across the street. We highly recommend the apartment, for us the most beautiful so far and we will be happy to think back to the time and come back soon.

One of the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed at. Owner is great and took care of everything very fast and efficiently. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a secluded holiday in Crete. We will always go back to this place!

This was our favourite stay of the trip. The place is idyllic, with a private swimming area only a few steps away. The house is decorated tastefully and gives a really nice indoor-outdoor feeling with the large patio and sliding doors. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with everything you might need to cook, including well-sharpened knives! Manolis brought us some fresh vegetables from the farm, which were delicious. Everything about the place is thoughtful and we loved our stay there. It is ideal for a trip where you want to spend a lot of time relaxing at the house and hanging out, it is so nice we barely wanted to leave!

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

We felt very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the patio. The apartment is practically furnished - for a simple breakfast and meal you will find everything you need. The hosts were very friendly, even provided a few small things and fruit. They also sent us a nice message with excursion tips. We immediately fell in love with Diaskari Beach - a not so crowded (at least in early June) beach, about 10 minutes' drive away with a nice tavern and hammocks on the beach.

Beautiful sea view, easy parking, smooth check-in & lightning-fast response time when I had questions. Jacuzzi was so lovely as well.

My wife and stayed at Yayas cosy house for 7 nights having spent some 3 nights in Chania then 4 nights in Piskopiano. Nikolas is a fantastic host and his house is one of the best holiday homes we’ve stayed in. The accommodation has two bedrooms and could easily accommodate a family of four. Yayas house is very well equipped with everything we could ever need for our stay. We spent lazy mornings and evenings in the courtyard and rear garden having coffee or wine and reading our books. This is a place to unwind and relax. A car is essential and there are many beaches within easy reach, some much more busy than others but we were able to find several smaller beaches which were very quiet and peaceful. Neapoli is a 2 minute drive away and we visited almost everyday to buy cakes and have a coffee at the wonderful bakery in the main ‘square’. Nikolas recommended several tavernas within 5 minutes drive. All were excellent with traditional food at great prices. We would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay here for our first week in Crete. The property is really nicely furnished and the views are absolutely stunning, both from the large balcony and the private rooftop space. The location was excellent for us, being in a very quiet neighbourhood but within a 3 minute walk from a lovely quiet beach, 10 minute walk from a larger sandy beach, and about 10 minute walk into the main town area which had lots of nice restaurants and shops. We loved watching the sun rise and having breakfast on the outdoor seating on the balcony each day. That view is beautiful. We also used the jacuzzi on the roof top several times. A great stay and we would certainly return and stay again.
