Cottage vacation rentals in Maury River

It was a wonderful home, me and the girls had a great spring break getaway!

We had a wonderful time. The location is great and the house was super clean and very well put together.

We rented Rachel‘s cottage for a quick weekend and it was absolutely perfect. We love the privacy and took advantage of the fire pit, hot tub, grill as well as the local river. Rachel was an absolutely wonderful host and very responsive and helpful during our stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had such a great stay! Our family really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub after our days of hiking. We appreciated the great small touches including the s'more ingredients, the delicious brownies, and seperate towels for the hot tub. The backyard is so peaceful. The house was very spacious and clean for a family of 4 that included 2 college aged kids. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!

Amazing home and a greag place to just get away

A perfect place to recharge and reset in a stunning part of the country. Everything was thoughtfully curated—from the decor and cleanliness to the high-quality furnishings and bed and linens. Truly nothing negative to say, only positives. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The views were incredible and being right on the river and around trails was perfect. Our kids loved the fire pit. The place is very private and it felt so peaceful to walk around the property.

Our stay was perfect and what we expected. I had my dog with me and there was a lot of space to walk him. A nice surprise was an artist show on the grounds and displays of different art medium for browsing or buying. The cabin was clean and quiet. A great little place for a stay on our way to our final destination. Bonus was the nearby hiking trails.

Great nestled location in which to take some time away, comfortable space with solid amenities. Feels like home away from home!

Kind of bummed I was only here for the one night because this was such a great, comfortable place and near a lot of cool stuff. It was a layover stop on a long drive, but exactly what I needed. So cute and I loved the very secure and private yard for my canine roadtrip partner. I can't get over the awesome spa shower, which was the highlight of my night. The recliner sofa was so comfortable that I unintentionally passed out for most of the night there and then relocated to the bed, which was also lovely. I would definitely look here first if I'm in the area again, and hopefully stay longer to take advantage of the location more. Thank you!

Beautiful, clean cabin. Breathtaking views - photos don't do it justice. And the wine was fantastic!

So relaxing, peaceful and quiet. The views of sharp top and smooth top mountains were a joy. Romeo, the cat, was so personable and welcoming. The inside was conformtable and felt like our home. We were close to the attraction we wanted to experience (kayaking on the James, Virginia Safari, many hiking trails). The kids played outside and loved the large space to roam. I would recommend Misty Hollow over and over.

This is the third year we’ve come back to the Gatekeeper Cottage and it’s just as wonderful as always, Adrianne and Brick are very friendly hosts! We hope to come back again in the summer even if just for a day to enjoy the house in another season. Thank you again for having us back!

The cottage was clean and cozy. It is easy to get to and quiet. We enjoyed our stay convenient to nearby amenities. Hosts were responsive and helpful and the house had everything we needed!

This is a beautiful spot. The home feels warm and inviting and is directed thoughtfully and comfortably. We felt right at home. The outdoor property is large and private. Absolutely stunning. Even thought we live just an hour and a half away, we saw birds that we’ve never seen before. Sitting out by the river was just spectacular and we were treated to bald eagles flying overhead. Highly recommend this gem.

My husband and I went there for a little weekend escapade, we had a great time. Beautiful cozy house surrounding by a lot of breweries and wineries. The backyard was a great asset for our dog. Will definitely be baxk

Wonderful stay in a well appointed and cozy but not small Airbnb. Pleasant decor and furnishings. They really thought of EVERYTHING to include down to flashlights and travel coffee mugs (and more). Their guidebook was super helpful and Carolyn even helped me understand if grocery stores would be open on Easter Sunday, our arrival date. The king mattress was super comfortable. Great location, nearby so many attractions. We would happily stay there again.

Beth’s place was perfect for a quick trip to the Charlottesville/Crozet area! The location was perfect for driving for hikes, wineries, and restaurants. The space was clean and comfortable. Although it was renovated, lots of items and the structure appeared to be original, which was fun. The washer and dryer were a lifesaver after getting a bit muddy in the mountains! The peace and quiet of the surrounding area was great as well.

Corinne’s place is amazing. My fiancée and I enjoyed our Spring break there. The cabin is beautiful and well-equipped, we had everything we needed. Corinne and Jesse respond fast and always in a good mood. They left a pumpkin bread and a local cider in the cabin for the guests to enjoy! Also, they sent us a list of nice hiking trails, markets, wineries and breweries in the area, which was super useful. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended.
