Vacation rentals with a kayak in Mauritius

This was our second stay at Shangri-La, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. Francine’s stunning villa is truly a gem, and we’re already looking forward to staying here again someday. Francine is an exceptional host - warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with any questions or needs. Shangri-La holds a special place in our hearts as the setting for so many wonderful memories. The villa itself is beautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped with an array of amenities, making for an incredibly comfortable and hassle-free stay. The location only adds to its charm, offering a serene and almost magical atmosphere that makes it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning on the patio, swimming in the sea, or simply soaking in the tranquility, this place has a unique way of rejuvenating the soul. We can’t thank Francine enough for sharing her cherished family holiday home with others. Home away from home!

The hosts were very helpful and friendly. You could use the kayaks for free. The beach is also provided with an umbrella, chairs and bath towels. Unfortunately, there were only 2 towels for our family of four. The house is small but nice, in the kitchen you will find everything you need. The beds and sofa bed were tidy. The take-off and landing planes of the nearby airport were clearly audible. Fortunately, there are only a few flights at night. The beach in front of the house is a dream and the water is crystal clear. We have never seen the sea so clear anywhere in Mauritius.

We spent two and a half weeks at Marie-Claude’s and had beautiful time there. The cottage has nice atmosphere, big garden where kids could see many birds, lizards, geckos and bats. Nice beach is just few steps from the cottage. Thanks for Patricia who was very nice to us too. Only one thing what was a bit annoying were mosquitos but you will be provided with nets and other protection.

We had the most magical stay at Asvin’s villa. Waking up to such a breath taking view every morning was surreal. The villa is gorgeous and lived up to our expectations. Felt like we were at a hotel at times as cleaners came regularly and changed our sheets too! What a truly beautiful space, we shall definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay at Melissa's place. She was very helpful, flexible and responsive... and patient because we had many quacks that her kindness helped overcome! The place is a dream house: superb (more than in the photos), well equipped, with direct access and a view... We'll be happy to go back.

Our stay at Villa Teresa in Roches Noires was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized, and our host, Balthazar, was incredibly helpful and responsive. The airport transfer was seamless—our driver, Darmen, was punctual and easy to find with a sign displaying our name. We also used his services to explore the island, and he was always professional and reliable. The villa itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area. The WiFi worked great, especially in the living room and on the terrace, which was perfect for video calls. The EU-standard electric sockets made it convenient for charging our devices without adapters. One of the highlights was the amazing service provided by Asmita, the housekeeper. She took great care of the house and also prepared delicious local dishes for us every day. Everything was fresh, simple, and full of flavor! We arranged for her to cook breakfast and dinner daily, and it was the perfect way

We had a great time at Christophe's, he was extremely available and put us in touch with his local contacts to help us discover Mauritius off the beaten track. The villa is even more beautiful than in the photos, it is quiet and at the same time close to everything, including the beach and major accesses. It is private and very well maintained. Our next stay in Mauritius will be without hesitation in Christophe's villa.

We had a fantastic time there. The photos don’t do justice of how beautiful the villa and view is. Having access to the beach at the door step was an absolute privilege for us. We spent lots of time in the water and enjoying the view from the porch. We barely wanted to leave the villa. The amenities within the villa were perfect for us - washing machine, dishwasher two separate lounges etc. The view from the bedrooms was amazing to wake up to every morning. Despite being close to the airport, the noise from the aircrafts was no hassle at all. We didn’t even notice - it was fun to watch. Mylène the cleaning lady was fantastic to deal with too. 10/10 and definitely recommend to anyone looking for serenity and space.
