Vacation rentals with lake access in Marquette County

Amazing stay in a gorgeous house in a beautiful location. Even more beautiful than the pictures - everything was perfect, and the hosts made everything easy. Already want to schedule another stay.

Even in March, you can’t beat walking through the back yard dunes straight onto the Lake Superior beach. The house has great space and splits well for 2 families to each have some of their own space. Tons of toys and games for the kiddos too!

Was just as we expected it to be. Easy to get in and was nice for a weekend away.

Beautiful escape to the lake and Emma was quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved the location and enjoyed sightseeing with day trips to Iron Mountain, Marquette, Pictured Rocks and relaxing days fishing and jumping off the docks. The beach down the road at the state park was also great. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 plus Grandparents. We made a lot of great memories and would definitely come back.

We had a great day at the Fox Den! You can definitely tell this is a family cabin, all the details are well thought out and necessities are available. Close to snowmobile trails and lakefront access. Highly recommend!

Carl is a fantastic host! From booking to check out Carl was courteous and very helpful. We arrived to Marquette Michigan earlier than anticipated from Florida. We reached out to Carl for possible early check in. He graciously opened the doors to the house early for us. He made us feel welcomed by not only allowing us in ahead of schedule, but he also had the house warm, cozy and a bowl with healthy snacks! Much appreciated from a long drive across country. The kitchen has everything you need to bake, cook or grill. Every thing was clean and welcoming. Hope to return to Carl’s place in the near future. Highly recommend Carl’s home to future guests.

The cottage was great. Just as decribed...better than the pictures. We really enjoyed the sun porch. Peaceful and quite, we went for a fall color trip the colors were beautiful. This was just what we were looking for. We would definitely book agaim.

I was looking for the place that would feel like home away from home where my entire family (fur babies included) and I could unwind, relax, and enjoy time together the weekend of my first marathon. This place was perfect. Kayaking was so much fun, the spacious kitchen made dinner times and breakfasts so special, and my doggo loooooved swimming, running around and going on walks. Even my cat felt right at home! It really felt like home. The amenities were also a great plus. It was my mom’s first time in an Airbnb, and she was so impressed with absolutely everything. Thank you Charlie and Shelly!! Everything was perfect. ☺️❤️

Although our stay at the cabin was a little cramped for 6 adults, it was perfect for what we needed. There is a grocery store nearby for all food needs, and bigger cities like Marquette are only an hour away. There are many waterfalls within 30 minutes that are easy access. Most amenities are provided (pots, pans, dishes) and there are some boats for the lake for the cabins. The cabin did have towels for showering, but I would bring your own for the lake and hot tub. One thing to note is the GPS does not take you to the right location, rather it takes you to a personal property down the road. Be cautious of the street addresses. There is also a non-grounded electrical cord in the coffee bar drawer for all grounded cords.

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat in a beautiful, natural setting, the Eh Frame is the spot for you! My family had a wonderful vacation in Big Bay. We were outside for most of it, but when rain kept us in we could snuggle in the cottage with a book or enjoy a movie or, simply, the stunning view of Lake Independence. The cottage has most creature comforts but note there is no laundry, so you’ll have to visit the laundromat which is a quick drive down the road, adjacent to the general store. Fresh produce and fish, meat, etc. at this store is limited, so it’s best to do most of your grocery shopping on your way in to Big Bay, in Marquette or Houghton, for example. Ryan is a very responsive and accommodating host. We loved our stay so much we’re thinking of a repeat next summer!

The communication to the host was above & beyond great, very responsive to any questions we had, extremely detailed directions, suggestions of places to go, etc. The home was super clean and comfortable, it was very peaceful. Even in the midst of a winter storm we felt the driveway/private road, and county roads were all well plowed/maintained. Would not hesitate to recommend this home to any of our family or friends looking for a place to stay.

My best friend and I have stayed at many Airbnb’s in the area, and we both agreed this was our favorite. The view from the deck is so gorgeous, and a great way to start your morning. The place was clean and stocked with anything we could have needed. All communication was very clear, and we felt prepared for our arrival and departure. We will definitely be back, and recommend it to anyone who needs to disconnect with a gorgeous view. Thank you!!

Fantastic place! So comfortable and the layout of bedrooms in different parts of the cabin was perfect, as we shared the place with our two adult kids and spouses. Everything is as shown in the pictures, very clean, very well maintained and nicely stocked with everything you need. The Kayaks, Canoe and Paddle boat all were enjoyed as was a wonderful fire overlooking the beautiful lake. Angie was quick to respond with the few questions I had although everything is well listed with directions. We had a great time and will return in the future. Thank you Angie and Jeff for offering your beautiful cabin for families to enjoy.
