We're lucky to be surrounded by farmland, countryside, mountains, sea, National Parks, fresh air and birdsong. Just a short 10 minute drive from the popular village of Mapua and 10 minutes from Motueka this artistic, modern, roomy and stylish studio is a perfect getaway. The Studio is located at the rear of our home property, down a private drive, with ample parking.

Wendels Acre is a rural property, our house and grounds is an acre of garden & 4 acres of land, running sheep. The studio has sea views and it's own private garden. The location is close to Mapua Village, Rabbit Island, Motueka, Great taste cycle trail (Nelson to Kaiteriteri), Kaiteriteri Mountain bike park, & Abel Tasman National Park. We have enhanced the plantings to encourage native birds which is a quiet, relaxing & tranquil area. We are a retired couple looking forward to hosting you.

Soak in the spa pool, relax on a deck with a glass of wine, use the kayaks or paddleboard or put out a fishing rod just metres from your suite. Tranquil location set amongst beautiful established gardens with a serene outlook to picturesque vineyards. Just a short drive to Marlboroughs finest wineries, food and the glorious Marlborough Sounds. Blenheim town is 10 minutes drive, Picton ferry terminal is 20 minutes away, wineries just down the road and the Blenheim airport is 10 minutes away. Separate from the main house our private guest house is self contained and fully equipped, perfect for a couple or business person.

You’ll love my place because of the quiet neighbourhood and the outdoors space including the Maitai River. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. We are situated beside the river 10 minutes walk from Nelson's CBD, surrounded by native trees and close to beautiful parks.

No smoking anywhere the property please. The unit is ideal for short stay visitors who are happy to dine out. Air fryer, Electric fry pan, Microwave, electric jug, cutlery, plates etc. Tea, Coffee, Milk, Juice and Breakfast cereal provided. Dining table but no washing machine. Compact, Self contained, clean, quiet, comfortable and 10 mins walk to City Centre. Surrounded by trees but still has a unique uninterrupted view of the Port and City.

Rest & Relax

Rest and relax in your sunny private riverside studio apartment or explore the close vineyards that surround us and the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. The studio accommodates up to 4 people and is located in Renwick a 5 minute drive away from Blenheim Airport and 30 minutes drive to the Picton Ferry. A minimum stay for 2 nights is requested. However we can arrange for a one night stay for $20 more if you reach out to us.
