Vacation rentals with lake access in Markermeer

We had an excellent stay at Anneke’s place. The place was quite aesthetic as well as so convenient with an amazing garden. Our 3 year old daughter especially enjoyed the trampoline and the swing in the garden. The location was really apt, we could do day trips to Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans, Hague, Utrecht, Haarlem. Overall a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely home in a quiet and stunning setting on the water. Great for families with kids. This is a great location to explore the lake from and has lots of amenities available for the guests to keep kids busy. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. Highly recommend a stay here.

Magnificent house, beautiful decorations, very peaceful garden. Everything was very clean and made to feel at home. We never tire of the view of the lake, especially in the morning when we wake up. The hosts are very responsive and provide plenty of good addresses. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.

The apartment is great, but the absolute highlight is the terrace on 3 sides of the house, right on the water. The large glass fronts in the living room give a view of the water, which makes the apartment special even in cool temperatures. The only downside is that you don't want to go on a trip, but just want to stay in the apartment.

We loved our stay here and if we returned to the Netherlands we would stay here again. A very comfortable house, wonderful big soft bed, clean kitchen and lovely shower. A beautiful outside space too- we loved it. Excellent stay

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

We booked the house because it appealed to us from the reviews. Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived in a house where we immediately felt at home. In the kitchen there is everything you need for daily use. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. Communication with Saskia was easy. We rented the house with a friendly couple and went home after a week very well recovered. We can recommend the house without hesitation. We would like to come back next fall. We found the perfect spot to spend a few days in the Breukelen / Maarssen area. Able to live like a local by biking to shops and touring the area. Nicolette and Remko made our stay so pleasant and were very friendly to help with plans or a quick chat. The space inside was lovely and roomy. Lots of place to relax outside too. Great biking and boating in the area - follow their recommendations. Most welcoming hosts we have met. Thank you for everything.

Check-in was straightforward and all the important information was super prepared. The highlight is the view over the water and the terrace, from which you can directly access the lake via a ladder. We were already there for the second time and would be happy to come back.

Wonderful peaceful place to stay!

We had a great stay! The apartment is in a quiet and natural environment, is tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Everything was sparkling clean and well cared for. The location is ideal: you are in Harlingen and Franeker in no time. Ympkje is an incredibly friendly and thoughtful host, who is always ready. We felt immediately welcome. I can't say enough positive things about our stay at Kevin and Kim's beautiful home. The place was fantastic and exactly as advertised. We felt right at home immediately in their immaculately clean home. It had everything we needed for a quick getaway. It was close to busses, the grocery store and the lovely shops and promenade in Volendam on the water. Amsterdam was only a 20 minute bus ride. Kevin greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Truly a great experience. I would book with Kevin and Kim in a heartbeat again should our travels return to Volendam.

A top accommodation, a whole experience

Lovely apartment, very easy to find and very clean and comfortable. Great location on the waterfront and close to bus station. Easy walk to town and lots of cafes / restaurants. Shafieq was really responsive and helpful and gave very clear instructions on check-in.

A lovingly furnished and very nice place in hippie style. We felt very comfortable and were even allowed to use the boat for an excursion. The beach is only 3 minutes away by car and the town of Workum with its great restaurants is within walking distance. It was a wonderful break from everyday life!

Trudy is a very sweet and attentive hostess who has good tips for activities and excursions. The place is very clean and quiet, perfect for a break. We would come back anytime 🌞

Wow! Nor and Mat’s cottage was the perfect escape. The most comfortable stay with picturesque views. The home was immaculate, and Nor and Mat have thought of everything—including toys and crafts for our 3 year old. Their communication and instructions were great, too. The location was wonderful too—a short drive to many restaurants and stores while still quiet and peaceful. We loved our time there!

A beautiful cottage in which we immediately felt comfortable. The view is sensational: ducks, storks, rabbits, lots of greenery and waterside. On the terrace with the very cozy rocking chairs, you can relax and enjoy a sundowner. The amenities are perfect, the beds very comfortable and everything super clean. Rudi is a great host and very friendly. 😊 We will be happy to come back.

Absolutely a highlight! What a lovely home with lots of privacy, well appointed kitchen with good stuff and lovely beds. Beautiful boat rented and sauna on the water was really great!

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

It is a beautiful accommodation overlooking the lake. The accommodation is small but it offers everything you need and we felt very comfortable from the first moment. There is also a parking lot directly opposite and very good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was a dream to wake up every day overlooking the lake. If the weather cooperates, you can also swim there. Will definitely be back :)
