Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Marina di Modica

Highly recommended, If you like space, freedom, friendly host and privacy. This was the perfect base for us to then visit the beautiful beaches and discover the area. Less than 10/12 min from the beach and return to a detached house with great views. We stayed here mid June. Which, in terms of temperature, was just about doable at night. We as Dutch people might have found it too hot in August. All in all a great place that's worth more than your money. 10/10!

It was a little gem in beautiful Scicli! Away from the centre, in a secluded little street where cars were not allowed. Beautiful scenery in front of us, peaceful and only 10 minutes walking from everything. The house was clean and very sweetly decorated. Chiara was a great host, answered to every question very quickly and gave us some useful information.

This house is much more than just a fantastic place to stay! This house is an absolute work of art and the ones who planned, implemented and decorated it are real artists! I couldn't stop walking through the rooms and looking at the details. Everything is just beautiful and functional at the same time: from wardrobe hooks, sheets, towels and plates, to the furniture to the great stove. Only high quality materials are processed in this house, nothing is cheap or kitschy. No compromises were made here. There are some beautiful, tailor-made decor accents and otherwise there is no unnecessary stuff around! The walled garden is fantastic, but especially we loved the small viewing terrace, where you can sit in the morning sun. Scicli is a picturesque town, many beautiful restaurants are within walking distance and experiencing the Easter celebrations there was a very special experience. Thank you!

Nice location, lovely in the middle of nowhere, with a nice swimming pool. Apartment is fine and cozy and easy to keep cool with air conditioning. Kitchenware is simple but sufficient. Slightly better quality and larger pans would be better because they are now dangerously hot.

Two couples, we stayed in three accommodations on our Sicily holiday. This was the best! The apartment is artfully modernized and the view from it is spectacular. Amenities were as described. The only thing we missed was a washer. Modica is a fun town with lots to do. We enjoyed exploring it more than any other town we visited. Parking was free and easy, although it is a few hundred meters walking and pretty steeply uphill. Unless you are driving out of town, though, you won't need the car since everything is very walkable as long as you are OK with stairs. Also, there are stairs up to the apartment, so the space is not appropriate for anyone with serious mobility issues. Grazie, Giancarlo and his colleague Raffaele who accommodated our later than expected arrival and provided extensive and wonderful restaurant recommendations!

Truly special. This cavernous little house dug into the cliff amongst the rabbit warren old town of Modica is one of a kind. The photos do not prepare you for the stunning view over the old town, burrowed into the valley below. The house itself is clean, functional and has what you need for a few days stay. Despite the raging heat outside, it stays cool throughout the day. Would absolutely recommend staying here for a memorable experience. Our check in/out was easy and hospitable, leaving nothing wanting.

We enjoyed a lovely peaceful, quiet and relaxed few days at Andrea’s Olive Country House. Clear instructions from Andrea made getting there by car (a necessity) easy. Andrea met us and showed us through. Well provisioned and all amenities you might need. We enjoyed easy day trips to the many towns/points of interest in the area. Andrea was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere off the beaten track that is quiet and peaceful.

Incredibly beautiful view, you barely will want to leave the apartment! It's located very close to both cafes and restaurants and easily accessible. We had a lovely stay here!

Rudia's place is a little treasure. We felt very comfortable here and would be happy to come back. Rudia is a great communicator: she was always quick to reach, had valuable tips for restaurants at hand and was always available for questions. Modica is worth a trip, also to explore Ragusa, Noto and other places of interest in the region. The apartment is very well equipped, quiet, air-conditioned and dark if you like and has a beautiful balcony for mild evenings. In short: Here you can have a very good vacation.

Good space with great views over the city. Well equiped kitchen. Second bedroom and larger outside terrace are accessed via a narrow staircase, but there is a bedroom and full bathroom on the main floor too. Would suggest parking above/behind Duomo di San Giorgio on Corso Francesco Crispi for an easier walk, especially with luggage.

If we ever find ourselves in Ortigia again (and I certainly hope we do) I know where we’re staying! Alessandra was a great host and her space is perfect for a couple.

This is a well thought out, comfortable apartment that was built tastefully and with high quality furnishings. Space feels like a luxurious hotel suite but with privacy and charm of a lived in home— it was a perfect, relaxing stay for us as a couple. The balcony up top with an outdoor shower is a super nice touch, I highly recommend spending time out there in the mornings or at dawn when the swallows fly. We also enjoyed the location, as it was quiet and didn’t feel touristy at all, yet we were very close to the city center. The neighborhood cafes/bakeries were all excellent, as per host’s recommendations. Silvia, the host, was kind, helpful and very fast with her responses, it was a total pleasure to chat with her. Fully recommend this apartment!

This is an amazing property which looks even better than the photos . The quality of all the items from the bed linen to the kitchenware are all top quality not what you would expect from a rental. The property was spotlessy clean throughout and the two terraces were fabulous. On saying all this the star is the host Francesco who collected us in his car from the bus terminal and on arrival at the property had lunch of delicious Sicilian food waiting for us and also a very thoughtful gift . He was also super quick in responding to any questions we had and his local recommendations for food were spot on. Five star +++ all round

Francesco's apartment is spacious, very bright and tastefully decorated. You can see the lighthouse and the sea from the balcony. The self check-in works wonderfully without any problems. Francesco is a good host and has always communicated super fast and easily. He gives tips for sightseeing (thank you, I looked at the Castello on Sunday!) and helps with any questions. The WiFi is stable and also works well for video calls if needed. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this apartment.

Fantastic 3 weeks at Francesco`s beautiful apartment - superbly located on Isola Ortigia, an absoultely spectacular place. Lively even during winter and a number of sights (Neapolis is a must!). Went to the food market for fish and greens and made dinner at home every other day or so. Otherwise a number of very good restaurants within a 500m radius. Breakfast and lunches on the spectacular terrase, short/t-shirt at least half the days (when in the sun) even during winter. Francesco was very helpful when we needed some minor assistance with heating and dishwasher. The heating system was the best I have every come across in Italy - water heated radiators, not only the usual A/C. All in ll - spotless!

They say perfect is impossible. Here Maria, the host, has achieved the impossible. The Airbnb is absolutely beautiful and incredibly clean. The view from the balcony was beautiful as well, we had a great time relaxing and looking out at the boats. Maria was incredibly hospitable, with a flexible check in and also providing information on the area. Thank you for the wonderful and unforgettable stay!

Marco was friendly and an excellent host and very fast in responding for our questions. He had some excellent restaurant recommendations in Ortigia and Syracuse. The apartment was very clean & tidy and had everything you might need. Great location to walk into Ortigia too or explore great local restaurants. Highly recommend

This was a fantastic base for our 5 nights in Ortigia - accessible on foot to everything we wanted to do, about 10 minutes from the InCoop supermarket which supplied us well for cooking in the small but perfectly formed kitchen. Lots of thoughtful/artistic touches, from artworks to bathroom and kitchen supplies. A wonderful place to be, great style to the apartment, with a very comfortable bed and fantastic views from all three balconies/out of the bedroom window. Having a washing machine was super-helpful too! Manuel was a very welcoming host, explaining the way things worked and gave plenty of local recommendations plus other local advice. The description is very accurate, including the 65 steps from the street to the apartment- unless this many steps will be an issue for you, I’d highly recommend booking this apartment. If I was ever to return to Siracusa I’d definitely want to stay here again.
