The back pod

AmandaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Marie is an excellent host, the pod is fantastic and has everything you need and more, really well thought out. It’s in a beautiful location, Marie even leaves dog bags if you bring a dog. If you go over to the Isle of Harris i highly recommend staying at Marie’s. Thank you for a wonderful stay 👍

Fabulous location, views to die for. House was big, very well equipped and comfortable. Although it doesn't say it in the amenities there are 2 bathrooms, 1 has a shower and very large bath & the other is an ensuite shower room off the king-sized bedroom. I almost didn't book this accommodation because we needed 2 bathrooms and it was only by reading reviews that I realised there are 2. The pictures do not do the house and views justice, beautiful ever changing views from lounge, which we actually never used, conservatory & balcony. Although it states garden is dog proof it isn't if you have a smaller dog. We had a Cairn Terrier & a Westiepoo with us and they easily got through the fence and gate, there were sheep & lambs in the adjacent field, lambs came to visit through the fence, so dogs had to have leashes on while out and no gate from balcony so we had to block this off too. There are so many stunningly beautiful beaches for dogs to run about on though so they were fine

Hebridean Bothy Pods - Bothy Buidhe

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a delightful place to stay. A romantic and cosy cabin, perfect for two. It was superbly clean and the facilities second to none. Everything needed plus more was there, even some pasta and beans for anyone turning up in need of one meal. The view over the loch and mountains was magnificent. I even saw a red deer jump the fence near the delightful rear garden which was a real sun trap. We loved the seating space by the door which was cosy and in the sun. It was the perfect base to travel around the island and a delight to return to in the evenings. Thanks Innes for making it such a lovely place. Please note that if you use just the post code (as we did) to find the place that is not helpful. Use the instructions provided by Innes
Aerial view showcases a verdant landscape along the shore, featuring multiple traditional white cottages nestled among rolling hills. The coastline is marked by rocky outcrops meeting the calm waters, with winding roads connecting the properties and patches of greenery enhancing the natural setting.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Hosts were very helpful and the Island is such a beautiful place to visit. We went out walking most days and it was lovely to come back and sit in front of a real fire. Highly recommend.

A vast sandy beach stretches toward the horizon, with gentle waves lapping at the shoreline. Soft, rippled patterns in the sand create a tranquil scene. In the distance, small figures are seen walking along the water's edge, with a mountainous landscape forming a backdrop beneath a partly cloudy sky.

Cosy Cottage - Gravir, Isle of Lewis

AnneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We chose to stay an extra 3 nights at the end of a week walking and exploring from Barra up to Lewis. We were specifically looking for a quiet place to finish off our holiday and to relax, and David’s Cosy Cottage perfectly fitted the bill. It was comfortable, well equipped and in a lovely peaceful location, and he was a kind and attentive host who communicated very well and made our stay very easy for us. In hindsight I might have chosen somewhere a bit nearer to Stornaway, just to cut down on driving after what had been quite a busy week for us, but the roads to Gravir are good and not busy, so it is not difficult to get around, and if you are looking for a quiet and beautiful location it is absolutely ideal.

There’s not much to add to all the other positive reviews Lovely location, 5 mins walk from a lovely quiet beach, we booked the pop up sauna, with some trepidation, not being cold water swimmers. Glad we did as it was a great experience. Wonderful base for exploring the Island, in beautiful and spotless accommodation Lovely rooms and guest areas Perfect breakfast, made even better with homemade baked goodies Great local advice, loved Garry Beach, that’s for the recommendation Wendy

Panoramic Sea Views - hot tub

We loved staying at the Larch Shed! Hallin is a beautiful slice of Skye with much to do and is a little off the beaten path from the main tourist areas like Portree. Jane was very hospitable and friendly, and we enjoyed our conversations with her. The Shed itself was exactly as described and very peaceful with an absolutely stunning view of the bay to start and end your day with. Everything was well appointed and we enjoyed the rustic decor. Highly recommend the YurtTea down the road for small breakfast and coffee, as well as nearby Stein Inn for amazing dinner. We also enjoyed Old School Restaurant in Dunvegan for dinner. Would recommend stopping at the co op on Forest rd in Portree for cooking provisions on your way up. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to our return!
