Great place, very clean, close to the beach, comfortable stay, very helpful hosts. Just should be aware that the property is barely ocean view. Some of pictures that have hammocks and ocean view are of the sister property across the street that you can access but not of where you will be staying. The is also no living room, social area it’s just and opened space on the first floor that is kitchen and dinning room, second floor also has hammocks. Also the house is in the town, not as isolate as you might judge from the pictures.

It is the ideal airbnb to enjoy the tranquility and beautiful landscape but at the same time close to everything, it is in an excellent location. The physical space: The private room and communal areas are beautiful, cute construction, it's a cozy atmosphere, well laid out, it transmits peace. María José is hospitable, she maintains a good attitude, allowed us to check out late, this is definitely an upgrade to the experience on this airbnb. Pedro remained attentive, helpful and proactive. Thank you for everything, I will come back.

My experience at Silvia's house was excellent. From the moment I booked, she was very kind and attentive, making sure everything was in order. The place is exactly as pictured, clean, well-equipped and with a spectacular view of Ayampe. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Ayampe. My family loved the place... it's a very cozy place, best of all the view, the landscape and seeing the sunset. A beautiful house! Recommended in every way. ✨ The house comes with everything you need for your stay, and it's super spacious and comfortable. There were 5 of us, and we cooked there every day. Something really good is that all the rooms have A/C, spacious bathrooms and a lot of tranquility in the surroundings. The house is a 7-minute walk to the beach, you can come and go without any hassle. I congratulate Marilyn on her home and her attention! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recs: 1) Guided 4 hour kayaking, snorkeling, and paddleboarding with Miguel - expert on scheduling the best time for the water, weather, and location. We went to Isla El Sucre from Machalilla which he drove us to and saw blue footed booobies (unique seabirds!) 2) Pt. Lopez for groceries at Tia and ATM cash withdrawals (Banco Pichincha.) Taxis are cheaper when you flag them down and share the ride with other locals/strangers. 3) Manta for malls or other special shopping, only $5 each way by bus. Max 20 minutes wait at the bus stop. As a solo female traveler I always felt safe, just be smart and aware as usual. 4) Pt. Rico street food - around 6pm cheese empanadas, chicken chifles, and beef walking tacos are sold on front porches near the bodega in town. 5) Montanita Lost Beach dance club. 6) Ayampe restaurants (corviche, Italian, and farm-to-table.) 7) Fernando for delivering fresh organic produce, eggs, hot meals, chicken empanadas, and peanut butter ceviche (Ecuador staple, must try!)

Cozy Loft near the Beach V

We stayed in this unit for about 10 months. This is Martha and Gustavo newest and largest studio apartment. As shown in the pictures, the apartment is elevated above the commons eating and entertaining space. My favorite element of the apartment is almost the entire front is glass doors providing a constant green view while maintaining a high level of privacy due to the elevation. You cannot see the sunset through the trees but you can see the entire sky turn orange through the trees. Bedding is very comfortable. We have stayed at five different places in Ayampe over the last three years and Casa Tambo has the best housekeeping by far. The large garden area is kept in excellent shape at all times, and with this space behind a locked door the apartment feels like it has an extra layer of security. Martha and Gustavo live on site and are always available to help with anything you need. Highly recommend Casa Tambo for long terms stays or short term.

This house is perfect for going with family or a group of friends. There were 17 of us, but there's room for more. The location is ideal, next to downtown Montañita but with an almost private beach. The owner was always attentive to our needs, we even stayed a little longer than the check-out time. Secure go back.
