We had a wonderful weekend away at Nikki’s classic kiwi bach! The location is so beautiful, and it was great to be right on the waterfront. The Bach is lovely and had everything we needed for a great stay. I only wish that we could have stayed longer! Nikki is a friendly, helpful and responsive host. Hopefully we will get to come back again one day!

Great location, within walking distance to beautiful beaches. The house was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Chloe and Ben were friendly and super responsive, making our experience even better.

Maxine was an awesome host and kept us well informed about the local water outage on one of the days, to ensure it didn't spoil our holiday. It didn't. It's been fun making memories as a family, at this home away from home.

what a place!! the house is far back road and incredibly serene. we came with two young kids and 4 adults and there was heaps to keep us occupied. trip across the estuary with kayaks to these amazing beach breaks a particular highlight. The whole house has something for everyone and honestly think we may be back. Rebecca was also an amazing host and had loads of local knowledge to share.

It was my first family holiday since 2017. The AirBnB was a new experience for me, but the hosts were respectful and their place was wonderful! I was able to bring our 2 x dogs which was great and I took them for a walk every morning, greeting others with their dogs on the way. My adult children loved being able to hang out at the beach and sit in the hot tub or use the kayaks on offer. My husband unfortunately worked every day but was able to enjoy to peace and quiet at night. Having a washing machine was practical and saved my workload when we returned home. We visited Charlies Gelato which was yum and I was able to purchase some beautiful wine from Brick Bay vineyard. Matakana was disappointing it felt like Auckland with long lines of traffic and expensive products however, the lady at Honest Chocolate was lovely. We fished off Scotts Landing and caught 5 legal snapper. All in all, I would highly recommend this AirBnB, absolutely the best holiday in a very long time. Thank you.

Lovely family home with all that the description and photos promise and much more! A once in a lifetime location. We stayed here for the last days of our NZ trip and really appreciated relaxing and exploring the area and fabulous beaches north and south. A big thank you Carol!

Lovely place to stay. Very well equipped. Great for family group of 3 generations. Great views from all rooms and always something happening on estuary. Pool table, spa , pizza oven and kayaks provided great variety of options. Highly recommend

Michael, We would like to thank you for affording us the opportunity to stay at your place. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of life gave us the chance to switch off, relax and take in nature. The views are amazing and getting out on the kayaks paddling around the island and visiting the smaller secluded islands like Pembles island isn’t something you get to experience often. We would also like to acknowledge and thank you for making this booking so easy. Your communication has been outstanding, directions and instructions were clear and we could not have asked for a better host. We highly recommend Micheal and staying at the Tree house at Kawau Island.

We very much enjoyed our time at Karen and Grants place. We were 2 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of space, and even quite some toys and books available. The area around the bay is wonderful and offers a lot of nice walks and beaches. It is definitly a space worth on our list of go-there-again places!

Wonderful stay at this family friendly and very well appointed home. Beachfront location with gorgeous views and a safe, gentle beach that is perfect for young children.

This place is beyond amazing — the photos don’t do it justice. The design, furnishings, and amenities are all top-notch, from the spa to the shower to the living spaces. But what really sets it apart is the beachfront location. We woke up to perfect sunrises on a stunning beach, with a range of native birds to keep us company. 10/10, would absolutely stay again.

A great house for large groups-plenty of outdoor and indoor gathering areas..loved the courtyard area with the fireplace Also there was a lot of sport equipment in the garage that we had access to

The perfect location to unwind and recharge. Waking up to the sound of nature was a good change. It truely is an experiential stay. All facilities and our room were immaculate (we stayed in the Allysia room which has its own ensuite) Rob, our host was great on communication. Definitely recommend staying at least 2 nights so that you can have a full day to use the kayaks and explore the island by bush walk. Take a book and some board games as well. We loved being able to take all our own food & alcohol of choice (the kitchen is fully equipped with everything!). The breakfast items provided was a bonus too. We’d love to come back again with a large group and rent the whole place out.

The location was ideal, with stunning views of the ocean, estuary, and islands—truly a breathtaking setting. Everything was well-maintained, had excellent equipment and suited our needs perfectly. Before our trip, our hosts gave us useful information and handy tips about things to do in the area - this proved to be invaluable.
