Hideaway at Woodfort Estate

A beautiful, secluded and picturesque stay for a special birthday. The pictures do not do the amazing views justice! The place was cozy and sweet, the outdoor bath is very cool to sit out and watch the stars, with some cute sheep in the next door paddock to keep you company. Don’t be deterred by the long driveway, it is totally manageable and so worth it, it’s like being on top of the world when you sit and enjoy a cuppa on the porch. Many thanks!

Willow View Cottage near Waitomo

AlflexRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Super great place! Squeaky clean and everything looked fantastic! The hosts were super responsive and had detailed everything down to a T. Place was in a remote area super peaceful and quiet, the night sky was amazing, you can see the stars so clearly. Close to Waitomo Caves and not too far from Hamilton around a 45 minute drive. Pretty much everything you may need in located in local town not to far from the location. Overall everything was great and would be super keen to visit again! P.S. the cute little kittens and cats were a well-needed bonus!!

Sunrise, 2 Bed W/Outdoor Bath

SophieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Enjoyed our weekend staying here. Great off grid location and ammenities. Quite small but has everything you need. Lucas provided very clear instructions and even had bread, eggs, milk and soft drinks ready for use. Would recommend this place to all others. The only one minor downside which is not the due to the hosts/place, the highway can be quite noisy at night.

The cutest cottage in town

Everything about this home was so inviting. She turned on the heat for us before we arrived which made the house instantly cozy. The beds were all so comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet. We enjoyed our short stay and all slept very well!

Fiadh Cabin - Off Grid Paradise

KarenRating, 5 stars5 months ago
5/5 recommended! My partner and I had a wonderful one-night stay in Jamie’s cabin. Very clean and well designed, a NZ-typical view, a friendly dog that greeted us and very welcoming hosts made the experience unforgettable. Just consider that the cabin itself only has a kitchenette. For the usage of the kitchen mentioned in the description, you‘d need to use Jamie‘s kitchen in the house next door (which was directly offered to us).

Orchard Valley, Waitomo Boutique Glamping

Our stay at the Ōtorohanga Glamping Site was an unforgettable experience. Nestled amidst the lush New Zealand countryside, this glamping site offers the perfect blend of luxury and nature. The tent itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities I could need. Waking up to the soothing sounds of nature and enjoying a hot cup of coffee on the private deck was pure bliss. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the site, from the cozy bedding to the eco-friendly facilities. One of the highlights was the stunning night sky – being able to stargaze without the interference of city lights was a truly magical experience. The location is ideal for exploring nearby attractions like the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. The perfect retreat.

Waterfront Tiny House

ShelleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What an anazing location and incredible hospitality. From the well crafted welcome email to the quick replies to my a million annoying emails, to all of the extras provided. everything was on point. Real thought has gone into the provisioning of this tiny home and the location is stunning. Nestled on the waters edge, it was anazing to sit outside in the pure NZ air, listening to the waves lapping softly on the shore and the cries of the wildllife whilst the brazier was roaring away. We were lucky enough to have seen Dave Dobbyn on Wednesday evening and his song - Slice of Heaven seems fitting to really describe this truely unique location.
