House vacation rentals in Mandeville

Villa Optima is a beautiful spot right on a peaceful beach. It was very clean with lovely furnishings and decorations and a nice pool in the back. Paolo was very helpful when we had trouble with our car. We enjoyed meeting him.

Winsome was a good host as she met us on the day of check in. I enjoyed my stay at this property. There was Wi-Fi , cable and smart TV. We had access to clean bedding and towels, there was no housekeeping facilities I think you may have to request this from Winsome. She was very understanding as I found out on my return that there was an issue with my son and she handled the matter diplomatically. The bed was a little bit low and hard for me if I am honest but I think it’s because I have issues with back and joint pain. The accommodation was very clean and tidy. Security is tight but polite, make sure you have your ID on entry for all parties on check in as it will be required and you will need to complete a form for all guests at the gate. I do think the property needs some sort of welcome pack I feel that would have been helpful in terms of the local area etc. Next door there was a very nice guest called Norman he was so helpful he made himself readily available at a drop of a hat. He would take us on day trips and take us shopping as and when required, as you really need a car to stay at Drax Hall Manor country club. The accommodation was about 10 minutes walk to get a taxi and approximately 15 minutes walk to the nearest food establishments KFC, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and there is an another place that sells Jamaican food. It’s located between Ocho Rio’s and St Ann’s Bay. The nearest amenities is in Drax hall itself which, is roughly a 21 minute walk, you access to a petrol station, pharmacy, supermarket and atm machine. The property is located 15 minutes away from medical facilities and Knutsford Express. I would recommend renting a vehicle if you are staying at this property as it will be easier for you to get around. I would recommend that you go shopping in St Ann’s Bay as Drax Hall and Ocho Rio’s itself is very expensive to purchase groceries. Drax Manor has a beautiful swimming pool that is supervised from 7am - 9pm, the is a play area for younger children, a gym, basket ball court and tennis court. There is a private beach located about 20 minutes walk away and it’s called Columbus Cove.

We never had a better vacation! Everything was perfect, the staff was amazing, Faithlyn‘s food was absolutely delicious and they did everything for us. She was helping us with groceries, organized a driver for us and helped us planning trips. The Villa is even better than in the pictures, a lot of space, big pool area and you own quiet beach. We are already planning on coming back next year and can’t wait to stay at this amazing place with this amazing staff again! Monique was also very nice, she was helping us all the time with all our questions and answered very fast! You guys are amazing and we thank every each of you for making our stay perfect!!! Amazing location. It is a garden of tranquility. We stayed here with our three kids. They loved the pool and the direct access to the beach. The view from the top is stunning. Coleen is the perfect host to make you feel at home. Her dishes served on the terrace were one of our highlights during our trip to Jamaica. Nicola was very helpful in providing a lot of ideas for excursions during our stay. This AirBNB is definitely in our top 5 of all AirBNBs we have stayed in as a family.

I was in town for my father’s funeral and coming back to KGAP Ranch every evening was a part of the comfort I needed. It was clean, spacious and had a variety of places to relax and commune with loved ones. If I had any questions, around the clock Audrey was responsive with quick and easy solutions. The investment in making KGAP ranch what it is shines through every detail which makes it an absolute stay that was worth every penny! Every visitor was in complete awe and inspired by the possibilities of a home can look and feel Like. Wishing KGAP ranch a lifetime o f happy stays!

Amazing stay with Lucy! We can’t say enough good things about this beautiful home that is exactly as seen in the photos. The proximity to the beach, the private pool and the views make this the perfect place to relax. The en-suite baths for each of the 3 bedrooms gave each of our group the space we needed. The best part however is the staff Lucy has put together to take care of you during your stay. Every meal (breakfast and dinner) was delicious and served at our convenience depending on our plans. Transportation for everything from the airport to a day trip to YS Falls/Appleton Estates, even a last minute scooter ride to the ATM was arranged quickly and easily. The house and pool were kept spotless. And best of all, the pups!! Sugar and Spice, kept us entertained and company throughout the visit. If a quiet relaxing vacation away from the tourist areas is what you’re looking for, this is it!! Thank you Lucy and the whole Turtles Nest family!
