Vacation rentals in Manakin

Great home close to Pocahontas State Park. Plenty of space and a spacious yard (which we ended up not needing as I didn't bring my dogs).

We booked a last minute spring break trip with 2 kids and a small dog. We loved how private the property was and the fenced in yard was more than enough space for our dog to run around. The location was great and we were able to visit the Richmond zoo, Maymont, and spend time with some local friends while having a calm retreat to get rest between activities. We arrived late at night and had no issues finding the property or getting inside despite it being a little ways off a main road. The next morning we were happily surprised to see some donkeys across the street at the neighbor’s property! We enjoyed breakfasts at Eat 33 (such friendly staff and delicious food!) and our favorite dinner was at El Zocalo Mexican Restaurant (a must visit!).

We have enjoyed the “Lighthouse Cove” on our wedding anniversary with our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids for several years. It has always been a great experience and the grandkids (ages six. seven, and 21 months) absolutely love being there. The property is very well kept. I just simply can’t say enough to describe this beautiful house and its location. I’m a chef so I can’t speak to the local restaurants other than there are many choices. Being a chef, you will find almost everything you will need to prepare your meals on site…..and I love that!! Ms Deb and me highly recommend the “Lighthouse Cove” and hope to return for many years! Tyler’s home was a home away from home. Fully equipped kitchen really came in handy. Location of home was super convenient. Tyler was quick to respond when I had questions. I highly recommend staying in their home.

My friends & I really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very private and quiet. Just what we needed for a relaxing girls weekend away.

Have to say at night this place is amazing one of the best features is the stars at night ! Seen a shooting star the last night with me and the work guys ! You 10-15 minutes away from everything in Petersburg! The host made me feel right at home !

I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at David’s home. It was in pristine condition, extremely clean, and smelled amazing. Such a great place and I highly recommend it!
