House vacation rentals in Malindi

In the heat of Watamu, the garden is a jewel and the pool in the middle is a must! We really enjoyed our stay at Jeremy and Laura's cottage with our 2 little ones (6 months and 2 years). The house itself is vintage with optional air conditioned at night. It can be really hot during the day so the pool is just a perfect option to refresh yourselves (it's shaded until 11am and from 4pm). Daniel, the house manager, was always willing to help and discreet, though he is working around the house on the plot all day from 8 to 5pm. He was even in capacity to help us find a young lady to supervise our babies so that we could enjoy our evenings out. Apart from the pool and the sublime garden, one other great added values of the cottage is definitely its location (very central) as there are many very good restaurant options at tuktuk distance - Jeremy shall share lots of tips prior to your arrival! I think we tried all of them ;)

We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly responsive and kind. The space was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also very private and peaceful. Absolutely worth every penny. We’re definitely coming back!

This is the most wonderful place in Watamu! Amazing location with basically a private beach, huge pool, large rooms and excellent chef and staff. We were two families with teenagers, and we were all very happy! Thank you!

Erena was a wondeful host who assisted in all manners from pre booking to being around when we needed as well with ideas for what to do and planning meals. The place was lushes and green and so peaceful and loved the loveable furry friends being around which made it feel real homey. Really enjoy my stay and I will return for sure with more friends as it is big enough

Our stay at Villa Mkauju was absolutely fantastic! The villa is stunning, offering tranquility and comfort. Joanna’s place was amazing. My daughter with 6 friends went there and Joanna was very supportive and welcoming. The house is large, breezy, in great conditions, with large en suite rooms. The girls had a cook who helped prepare breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable prize , the pool was cleaned daily and the place was excellent for groups of families or friends. I would highly recommend and we will definitely go back !

Great price for what we got. The caretaker is on site ready to help at all hours. Flexible check out ready to accommodate my schedule. Just loved it.

My stay here was lovely. The staff were always responsive and so kind. The apartment was gorgeous and wonderful. Had a slight snag with power but they quickly responded to it which adds to the great customer service they had.

Adrienne's house is perfect for a stay with friends or family. Conveniently located near Garoda beach, with direct access to the beach. (5min walking distance) The house is beautiful, with well-organized and practical indoor and outdoor spaces. The pool is great ! Each bedroom has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a private bathroom.

My stay in Watamu, with my two friends, was very lovely. Yasmin, Antonio, and Mary made our stay very comfortable with their warm personalities and responsiveness to any queries we had throughout our visit. This was much appreciated when we needed assistance with things in the house. The open plan feel of the apartment with the strong breeze was something of a lifeline in the heat by the Indian Ocean and the effective A/C in all bedrooms was a blessing. The pool was clean and also very quiet which made mornings and evenings very peaceful to swim. The apartment is very well located and is just 5minutes, if that, to Watamu beach and also positioned close to the bank and nearby shops. I will be staying here again if and when I am on the coast, Gus (UK 23-29/08/24)

We loved our stay at Nyumba ya Bubi! It is a beautiful home and located just a short walk to the beach. We were able to enjoy slow mornings and daily adventures at the beach. We recommend going on a local boat to see the star fish. The caretaker, Shaban, made our stay exceptional. He did a wonderful job & was very attentive. Laura was a very responsive and hospitable host. We enjoyed local cuisine at fine and just a short walk down the beach. The only downside for us what the construction happening on other villas was loud. Also, pack water shoes to wear since this part of the shore line is very rocky and there is a lot of seaweed. However the rest of our stay was great. We highly recommend this location!

Chef Joshua. His meals were a whole experience fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Daniele's place was a wonderful and memorable experience for us. The staff members are super friendly, thumbs up to the security guard ;Tete and Michael. The cleaners Jacky and Amina, they are very friendly and helpful. Daniele's place was very clean and free of clutter. Many places to have activities and are all so close to each other. We will definitely come.

I really enjoyed my stay at Gianni's place! It is located in a very good area in Watamu and close to everything. I also loved the fact that it is so private. The house itself is also very nice. The kitchen supplies are maybe a bit basic without a kettle/toaster. But nothing to be worried about. Every night there is a night guard, which gave me a safe feeling. Although he doesn't speak English which sometimes caused some language barriers. The owner Gianni was always very responsive and easy to communicate with! Thank you for a great stay!

Thanks for the hospitality! We had a great stay here. Had our own private roof terrace which was very chilled and comfortable. Rooms were spotless and cleaned daily and our host and staff very friendly and hospitable. We also got transportation very easily to Malindi airport that we asked for! Lovely stay and would recommend, really great value for money.

A really beautiful house in Watamu, nicer and more welcoming than the photos. We were two families; 4 adults and 4 children in total. The size of the house was perfect and the kids spent all day in the pool, which was well shaded. The outdoor seating area was great for the evenings. And the food prepared by Jackson was delicious.

Kagendo's place is a beautiful house in a serene environment. My family and I enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing holiday. Cleanliness was maintained throughout our stay and she recommended a private chef who cooked for us delicious meals. The staff were attentive to us and made us feel at home away from home. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay, the support staff went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. Francis the chef made us feel at home with his signature dishes espy the pie. The location is strategically placed, shops and other interesting places are nearby. The host was also very friendly.
