Family-friendly vacation rentals in Malia

Very much enjoyed our stay at Tasos’s apartment! It was clean and comfortable and he was very flexible with check-in/check-out as we had flight delays and arrived later then we expected, along with having to check-out at 3:30 in the morning to catch our flight. He was great at communicating, responding promptly, and also gave us a bunch of recommendations on things to do locally. Would definitely stay here again, and totally recommend to others!

Orgon Farm is a lovely, serene getaway. Located 30min south of Heraklion, it was a perfect central location. We enjoyed the baskets left every other morning by Manolis and his charming farm. We dream of staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay here. Very peaceful. Often all you will hear are the bells clanging from the local goats. Delicious food at the onsite taverna. Beautiful lodge, with special touches such as a bottle of wine waiting for us to congratulate us on our wedding. Of note, this villa is very high up in the mountains. If you're flying into heraklian airport that evening, it's a long and dark drive up some very narrow and winding roads, so you may want to make the drive in the daytime. It's about an hour drive up/down the mountain to any other town so be prepared to drive. But the scenery is beautiful...majestic mountains.

We had a lovely stay at the villa. It was spacious and clean and the garden and pool were great. Our toddler loved the resident cats too! We were happy with the location as it is around a 10–15 minute drive to plenty of beaches and small towns and around 1 hour to Heraklion where there are quite a few things for families with young children to do. Vaso and her family were very welcoming, we had freshly cooked food on arrival, oranges from the garden given by her dad, and we were even invited to try some BBQ food with her family on Easter Sunday. Vaso really went out of her way to make us feel welcome and we’d definitely recommend staying at her place.

The villa is amazing, very clean and lots of space, decorated with taste. the outside is even better, great spaces to relax by the pool or for lunch and dinner, with plenty of shade. We enjoyed the olive garden and the nice yard, perfect for our infant to run around salefy. The host was amazing, checking in on us via messages to make sure we're ok, even before we got there, tasty food and fruits were waiting for us at check in. And also another tasty surprise on another morning with fresh pastries. I fully recommend this, it's great value for the money. The whole family enjoyed the stay and praised the place.

Stella and her family was friendly and very helpful while we were staying at her families beautiful villa. The villa is stunning and clean. It has all you need while you stay at the villa. Would highly recommend staying at this accommodation. Likely to return in the future! The peacocks add to this beautiful location looking over the mountains of Crete.

Stella's home was absolutely stunning. Comfortable, beautiful decorated, and nestled in the hills overlooking stunning sea views. Stella's father met us upon check-in and we so appreciated all the personal touches. Stella also made every effort to accommodate us during the stay. Thanks again, and while I'm sorry we couldn't stay for the full time, I hope we can be back one day!

Manos greeted us and helped us check into his place. He was such a help and quick to respond. The place was recently updated and was clean, cozy, and fun to stay in. We wish we had a few more days to stay! When there was an issue with the temperature of the unit Manos stopped by and made sure it was resolved even though it was later in the evening. This was a great place to stay- highly recommended!

The is a family house, simple, pleasent and authentic. The natural surroundings are amazing. The silence is incredible. Meni and Andreas, the owners, are very nice people and we felt the love they invested in every detail. Thanks 🙏

Had a great time visiting Crete...Agia Pelagia is a fab place to stay, it's a bit of a walk up a steep hill coming back from the sea front...but unless you have mobility problems don't let it put you off.

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Manoli’s! The house was stunning, nestled in a beautiful village that made our two-night stay even more special. The property was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it feel like a home away from home. The host was excellent, maintaining great communication. We also loved the nearby restaurant, which was superb and added to the overall experience. We truly had a great time and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Die Unterkunft von Heike war super gepflegt und hatte alles was das Herz begehrte. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und unsere Zeit sehr genossen! Heike war auch beim Tag unserer Anreise vor Ort und hat uns persönlich viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben und uns alles nötige erklärt. Sie war auch jederzeit schnell für uns erreichbar. Utensilien fürs Grillen von Fleisch und Fisch waren auch vollständig vorhanden. Die umliegenden Kleinstädte mit zahlreichen Lokalitäten sind mit dem Auto schnell und leicht zu erreichen. Wer sportlich ist, schafft es auch zu Fuß :) . Aber auch zu Hause kann man die Seele gut baumeln lassen, entweder in einer Hängematte oder einer Liege.

Είχαμε μία πολύ ευχάριστη διαμονή. Ο χώρος διαμονής βρίσκεται στα όρια του πευκοδάσους. Ήταν πολύ ήσυχα και λίγο απομονωμένα. Ότι πρέπει για ξεκούραση. Το κατάλυμα περιείχε τα πάντα. Ο οικοδεσπότης μας υποδέχτηκε κρατώντας ένα μπουκάλι κρασί. Σε ευχαριστούμε πολύ Κωνσταντίνε.

Beautiful home with spectacular views! Hosts were very kind and met us in the village to personally show us to the house. Great local guide and recommendations for things to do in the area. Evenings reading on the veranda looking over the hills and listening to the village were a dream!

Wir hatten als Familie mit Kleinkind einen super Aufenthalt! Die ganze Umgebung ist sehr schön und gepflegt, die Wohnungen sind originell & ordentlich / sauber. Hier und da ist die Küche etwas reduziert ausgestattet, wir haben uns jedoch zurecht gefunden. Christos ist sehr freundlich, Check in und Check out waren super einfach. Wir kommen gern wieder! We had a fantastic week at Harry‘s place. While the location is a bit remote, supermarkets and a restaurant are still within walking distance. For anything else, we had a rental car. The accommodation is excellently equipped. We were 7 people and more than enough dishes in the kitchen. We also made great use of the outdoor grill and pizza oven. Both the house and the outdoor areas are well-maintained, with someone coming every other day to clean the pool and tend the garden. I can definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Lovely villa and garden in a quiet spot. Kostas and Elizabeth were very approachable and responded quickly to any queries. As others have said, the only slight draw back is the approach to the villa down a very narrow drive with a right angled turn which took some manoeuvring even in our smallish car. We got used to it and ultimately this didn't spoil our enjoyment of this beautiful property.

Wir haben mit 5 Erwachsenen phantastische erholsame 2 Wochen in Alexandros Villa verbracht. Die Villa ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich für einen komfortablen Urlaub wünscht. Wir haben uns von Beginn an wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die herausragende Lage der Villa. Der Blick gerade vom oberen Balkon auf die Berge ist atemberaubend. Mit einer Sitzmöglichkeit würde der Balkon noch einladender sein, um den einen oder anderen Sonnenuntergang genießen zu können. Alexandros ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Er hat uns persönlich vom Flughafen abgeholt, half uns beim Transport der Gepäckstücke und begleitete uns zur Villa. Er gab uns wertvolle Tips zum Erkunden der Insel und war jederzeit für uns erreichbar. Das gab uns ein gutes Gefühl. Wir Können die Villa von Alexandros uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

We really enjoyed our stay in Thomais´resort. Thomais did everything to make us feel welcome and welcomed us with homemade cooking and wine. Located on the mountain top the distance to shopping and restaurants is several kilometers, but excellent taxi service solved this so we dropped our plans to rent a car.

The villa was definitely up to our expectations and more; spacious, very clean and comfortable and location was perfect close to outstanding beaches. The pool was a big hit spent many hours having fun with the family 😀. Walking distance to good restaurants in the village of Pitsidia. Can’t wait to return for another holiday.
