Cottage vacation rentals in Makarska Riviera

We spent 2 great weeks in Marja and her family appartment. The robinsonhouse is super charming, very clean and well equiped (everything you need for cooking, clean towels and sheets, and even the WIFI that was not mentioned in the description). The surrounding is very quiet and 15 minutes walk from a very quiet (almost private) beach and 10 minutes drive from the town for supermarket, restaurants and multiple activities. We spent most of our time in the terraces, enjoying the calm and the superbe view on the see. The owners, leaving next door, are super welcoming, very friendly and helpful, they even greet us with fresh grappes and figs from the garden. We highly recommend the location and also their restaurant in the city. Great place for holidays in the sun.

Wir wurden gastfreundlich empfangen und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind herzliche und unkomplizierte Leute. Wer in seinem Urlaub Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier richtig. Der Blick in die Berge und der viele Platz haben uns am Besten gefallen. Es gibt viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten vor Ort, solange man ein Auto zur Verfügung hat. Wir haben außerdem das Kätzchen das dort lebt in unser Herz geschlossen und es gerne umsorgt. Wir Bedanken uns für die angenehme Zeit.

Lukša ist ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Zur Begrüßung war der Kühlschrank mit Käse, Wurst, Milch, Brot und Marmelade gefüllt. Das Haus liegt in einem sehr ruhigen Dorf. Wer Erholung sucht und Tiere mag ist hier bestens bedient. Der Whirlpool ist gepflegt und rundet die Erholung ab. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und kommen gerne wieder.

We were looking for a place that would be big enough to be comfortable for our group of eight and it's safe to say we absolutely loved it! Our highlight was definitely the pool - perfect for relaxing and cooling down during the hot summer days. The house and garden was super clean and tidy and Ante was a very warm and welcoming host. He gave us lots of local recommendations and was very responsive and friendly throughout. The location is very peaceful and more on the remote side, so I would definitely recommend to bring/rent a car. It's easy to get to the city of Split and there's lots of gorgeous national parks about 30 - 60 minutes away by car, so it's a great starting point to explore the natural sights of the area.

Traumhafte Lage und von der ersten Sekunde an wohlgefühlt! Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, mit allem, was man braucht – sogar kleine Gastgeschenke haben uns überrascht. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst hilfsbereit, antworten schnell und haben uns tolle Tipps zur Umgebung gegeben. Besonders beeindruckend: Sie bauen selbst Gemüse und Kräuter an, die Gäste frei nutzen dürfen. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem kleinen Paradies, perfekt zum Abschalten. Die Anfahrt erfolgt über eine ca. 1 km lange, nicht asphaltierte Straße, aber der Weg lohnt sich – und uns wurde sogar mit dem Gepäck geholfen!

This is one of the most beautiful vacation rentals I’ve ever stayed at. A charming little house with everything you need, surrounded by a beautiful secret garden under olive trees, with a stunning view of the mountains. My family had a wonderful time here. There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside. It’s clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into the details, making sure the place feels cozy and welcoming. If you’re looking for a peaceful and private getaway, this is it. The kitchen is very well equipped. However, if you plan to cook a lot, like I did, I recommend bringing an additional portable induction stove. Otherwise, you can use two cooking stoves, an oven, and an outdoor BBQ. This property is definitely worth the money, and the owners are incredibly kind and responsive, just a call away if you need anything. I hope to return soon!

Great place for a weekend getaway. You get nice kitchen with a spacious bedroom on the second floor and decorated patio outside. Lots of details like candles and vases around to make it romantic. You can walk to the sea or enjoy see view from the bench on the parking. Atmosphere is quite private and host is freindly and responsive. Chekout is easy - just walk out and close the door and the only issue with checkin is that gps gives you an end point at 100m earlier (you cannot drive to the house and this confuses maps navigation). Things you may consider though: airplanes make a lot of noise when passing by, barthroom is dark and tiny.

Sve preporuke za ovaj smještaj. Kuća je preslatka i smještena je u malom selu s nekoliko starih kamenih kuća, ali su one iza i imate osjećaj kao da ste sami. Unutrašnjost kuće izgleda ljepše nego što je to na slikama, kuhinja je odlično opremljena i krevet je jako udoban. Ostakljena terasa s jacuzzijem i pogled s nje su dragocjeni, a pri samom ulasku u smještaj jacuzzi je bio zagrijan što je bila prava dobrodošlica zajedno s bocom vina koja nas je čekala u frižideru. Domaćini su jako dragi, nenametljivi, ali na raspolaganju. Sve u svemu 5/5. :)

Would give 6 stars if possible! This place is perfect for your family holiday. It’s 2 seperate apartments all in one house, so was perfect for our holiday with 3 couples. So many beautiful spots to sit and hang out on the property! Everything you could want in a house - fully equipped kitchen, beautiful view, close to town, walking distance to a swimming spot, a short drive/run to a near-bye town, and if you are lucky some fruit trees laden with fruit! Don’t hesitate! Book it.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the villa. Just what we were searching for, a haven of tranquility. The hosts were delightful, Razu in particular was extremely helpful throughout the entire stay regarding information and supplied us with an array of fantastic meals. We didn't want for anything. There were plenty of things to see and do within a short car journey. I would wholeheartedly recommend Villa Amphora. As most of the other reviews state, it is a truly unique experience. Regarding the one negative review on the website; all I can say is I really don't understand what they found so disagreeable.

Falcon’s Nest is by far our favourite stay of all the Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The accommodation is beautiful and peaceful; a quiet beach close by and we were content. Our interactions with the owners were friendly and generous. We couldn’t ask for better

Kuća je na mirnoj lokaciji blizu mora. Do Vele Luke ima 10-tak minuta vožnje i tamo je najbliži dućan tako da je dobro opskrbiti se. Mi smo jedino imali problem jer nismo računali da voda nije pitka pa smo se morali vraćati kupiti u Velu Luku. Kućni ljubimci su dobrodošli i naš pas je uživao. Jedino je bio problem kad je jako grmilo 2 dana jer na kući nema prozora i nismo ga mogli zaštititi od glasnih grmljavina. Ako tražite mir, prirodu i blizinu mora ovo je najbolji izbor na preljepoj Korčuli. Preporučila bi svakako.

Wir haben unsere Elternzeit in der Villa Leon zu dritt sehr genossen. Das klimatisierte Haus bietet viel Platz & Komfort: Im 1. OG befinden sich drei Schlafzimmer sowie ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Im unteren Stockwerk findet man neben der voll ausgestatteten Küche ein weiteres Bad mit Dusche. Besonders begeistert hat uns die Küche mit Induktionsherd & Spülmaschine. Die große Terrasse mit Markise lädt zum Entspannen ein und bietet zudem eine Grillstelle. Im Wohnbereich gab es genügend Platz für eine Spielecke fürs Baby. Auch sonst war alles, was wir benötigten, vorhanden (u.a. Babybett & Babybadewanne). Ausserdem ist das Haus mit Insektenschutzrollos und Fensterläden ausgestattet. Zudem gibt es einen Waschkeller mit Waschmaschine. Ein Highlight für uns war die abschließbare Garage. Die ruhige Lage des Hauses auf einem Hügel mag eine schmale Zufahrt erfordern, doch wird man mit einem Meerblick belohnt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich, hilfsbereit und stets freundlich. Insgesamt top!

Das Thinkers House ist ein Traumhaus am Meer. Der atemberaubende Blick von der Veranda und aus den Zimmern kann eigentlich nicht übertroffen werden. Aber dann betritt man die Dachterrasse und es verschlägt einem dem Atem: Tagsüber das tiefe Blau des Meeres und in der Nacht ein unendlicher Sternenhimmel. Marko ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der sein Haus wunderschön gestaltet und eingerichtet. Wir möchten sehr gerne wieder kommen.

We stayed at Milena´s apartment for about a week over new years. The mountains behind the village had snow, yet it was sunny and warm most of the time so we could do extensive hikes and visit nearby towns. The apartment itself is incredibly beautiful and Milena just a fantastic host that warned us about road-blocks on our way from Austria to Croatia. Furthermore she gave us really some incredibly nice advice on what to do in the area. All in all we can highly recommend her place :)

Amazing place to stay and hosts are very centered around the guests and their needs. We were well supported with all our questions and details. The house is located on a remote island with scenic surroundings, and it is a true ‚live like a local‘ experience off the beaten path. We especially enjoyed grilling on the outside fire oven, hiking and enjoying the lovely views, swimming in the multitude of bays, fishing, and the peace and quiet in the surroundings. If you are looking for a no frills, quiet yet adventurous experience, this is a great place to go.

Endroit paisible. Maison tres propre, tres accueillante. Le meilleur logement depuis que nous louons sur rbanb. Les hôtes sont tres accueillants, et très gentil. La piscine est grande. Tout est joliment decoré. On se sent bien

We had a great time at Anita's! Although the house has it's "old" charm, it was cleaned very well and it felt cozy. To reach the house, you have to walk in front of the neighbours house and can start talking to them. They gave great instructions and even helped jump start our car. You also get to meet Lucky, the neighbours dog, who is very cute and just wants to be petted all the time and even likes to sleep in front of the Airbnb. Anita was a great help and helped us with parking, freetime activities etc. We would recommend everyone to stay there if you want a relaxing, quiet vacation :)

Villa Sara er ikke et vanlig Airbnb, men er et sted med mye sjel og kjærlighet- et hjem. Huset ligger i en familiebygd og er omringet av hyggelige og imøtekommende naboer. Vi elsket bassengområdet, hvor Cedo har lagt mye arbeid og hjerte i å få det fint og stilrent. Selvet huset er perfekt for barnefamilier og byr på alt man måtte trenge. Huset ligger i nærheten av Split med gode veiforhold. I tillegg er det også lett å komme seg til både Trogir og Omiš. Tusen takk til Cedo og familien for en fantastisk ferie og gjestfrihet.

We spent 5 weeks in low season at Tonci’s and Andrea’s home and loved everything about the experience. The views are incredible, the house spacious and super livable, and being so close to the ocean to just be able to jump in and swim was idyllic. Nothing was better than sitting enjoying the view with a drink in hand at the begining or end of each day, it was lovely. The house is on a slope giving it privacy, and with another 15-20 houses in the bay, you don’t feel isolated. It has a gorgeous BBQ area, several outdoor seating areas, and very comfortable furniture. The kitchen is well equipped and the house very clean. Tonci’s a superb host and his approach really made this stay wonderful though. He and his family live in Split but when he did visit Solta, he was kind, conversational, and amazingly helpful with advice and information. The satellite internet is good quality and the top of the range for the island and can certainly sustain voice conversations although sometimes challenging for videoconferencing. We hope to return someday and stay just as long again. Thank you both for hosting us.

Ante’s place is the perfect stay for families looking for a quiet holiday with amazing outside space. There are plenty of shady places for kids to play, as well as a trampoline and swings. The views are incredible and the apartments are clean, bright and comfortable. As it is at the end of a lane, you don’t need to worry about busy roads or noise and there is plenty for kids to explore. Ante is very helpful and included lots of nice personal touches throughout our stay. I would highly recommend staying here!

Interesting nature, great private wild spot … beautiful simple vintage furniture … nice tap water pressure … lots of trees in garden You need a car … best for minimum a week stay I think because if you go in summer and want mainly to swim in the sea then you’ll need to leave the house all day , unless you stay longer period so you dedicate a day or two to enjoy the house fully to make bbq or sunbathing in the garden …

Just got back from a fab stay at Marijana's place. Lovely house, with a great private pool and outside area. Good location for exploring Bol, which we loved. Marijana was brilliant too. she checked in with us a few times, brought us cakes, left us some treats for our arrival and drove us to and from the catamaran as well. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you Marijana.
