Vacation rentals with lake access in Madre de Dios

Wonderful location walkable to the road where it’s easy to hop on a collectivo or moto taxi into urubamba. Peaceful location right on the river with lots of space to be outside. The room was cute though next time I would opt for one of the circular structure because they have more windows + therefore probably have better light! Both other travelers I met there were very kind.

A great place for privacy. Well-equipped kitchen. Spotless linens and entire bungalow. The proximity of the river, fire pit, and shelter with hammock. We spent 2nights there, we would have loved more! The delicate drawback is the warm, but not the hot water in the shower and the lack of heating, but this is typical in this area - it makes up for a really warm comforter 🥰 The host immediately responds to any questions and needs!

I can't say enough good things about our stay. This three-bedroom spot was perfect for our family, which included kids and grandparents. The place felt inviting and homey, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The kids loved having their own room, and use of the playground right outside the front door. We enjoyed the fully-equipped kitchen so we could cook our own meals, and the half-bath on the first floor was convenient when spending the day in-and-out. We also felt safe and secure as the community is staffed and gated. The location was beautiful and the weather was perfect, allowing us to enjoy ample time outside. We didn't bring our dogs, but we easily could have, especially because there was an enclosed patio at the back of the home. There was space to park our vehicle and we were a close drive from the main area, where we happened upon some festivities for the holiday and enjoyed meals and drinks at a few local restaurants, cafes, and breweries. Highly recommend!

Everything is very nice, quiet area and for rest. The cleanliness and design of the house we loved it.

Don Jaime's hostel is the perfect place to start exploring the Amazon rainforest in Puerto Maldonado. The hostel is in front of the Tambopata River and consists of several lodges, some of them with a kitchen. Don Jaime is a very nice person, he will treat you like a nephew. Rinson and the rest of the team are also exquisite people. And they also have contacts to organize various tours (and not just tours) throughout the area at a very advantageous price. Absolutely recommended!!!

The experience at the house was great! Cristobal and Veronica were very nice and provided us with everything we needed to get to know Puerto Maldonado. The cabin is very cozy, has everything you need and is close to the tourist area where the Pajaritos restaurant is and the adventure center where we made zip lining and there is a suspension bridge. We really had a great time as a family and took a nice memory.
