Mountainside Cottage

JamesRating, 5 stars3 months ago
First I will say that getting up to this property felt treacherous, especially at night. Highly recommend an AWD vehicle if you’re coming up here. Otherwise, the place was very private, clean, and beautiful! Cynthia was an exceptional host - she made sure we arrived safely and was proactive in her communication.

Charming Highlands Cottage | Hot Tub | Fireplace |

JaredRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I can’t say enough good things about my stay at Finchsong Cottage! The home is even more beautiful in person — cozy, peaceful, and so thoughtfully designed. Every detail, from the decor to the layout, felt intentional and inviting. The porch was the perfect spot for morning coffee and quiet evenings, and the natural surroundings made it feel like a true retreat. The location is secluded enough to feel like an escape but still convenient for exploring nearby trails and towns. Everything was spotless, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable — I slept like a dream. The hosts were kind, responsive, and made sure I felt right at home. This is one of those rare places that really lives up to the photos and then some. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning a return trip! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the mountains.

Coon Creek Too: A Creekside Smoky Mountain Refuge

KellyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved our stay at Mary's! Our dog especially loved drinking water from the creek at the end of the property. The place has an added bonus of having a bed and bathroom split from the main house. We explored Dillsboro, which is only 15 mins away, and did some hiking in Sylva and Western Carolina University, which are a little further past Dillsboro. This is a beautiful part of the country, and well worth a stay at Mary's to visit.

I can’t express how nice this cabin is, it’s beautiful. Very nice decor and comfortable beds & furniture. The upstairs loft is so cozy! The deck was spacious and well maintained, the views of the mountains from the covered porch were pretty. Parking is easygoing, no steep driveway. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming! This cabin is not far from the main highway, makes travel easy to navigate the area and explore. The cabin is a few minutes drive from WCU, which is very convenient for anyone in town visiting their college kid. I enjoyed my stay, and I recommend this place a 100%.

Patton Valley Cottage

KarenRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Booked a last minute trip for Christmas to the mountains with our family. The cottage was just as pictured and described. Very cute and close to Highlands where there are lots of activities if you have kids. Ingles was a quick drive to pickup little items to eat/snack on. The driveway is not that steep which is nice. The porch gives you a relaxing vacay vibe while drinking coffee and taking in the beautiful surroundings. We would definitely oil again. The host made our trip stress free! Thank you.
