Cottage vacation rentals in Lynchburg

Great location. Cool house. Plenty of shade. Everything’s easily a short 10-15 min boat ride. Beach close by. The cub house is awesome for kids (even has an intercom to communicate with the main house). Only complaint I have is there were no cleaning supplies, spare toilet paper, or what I would consider basic supplies.

I had a wonderful stay here! The place was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything I needed. The location was perfect, and the neighborhood felt safe and quiet. Communication with the host was quick and easy, and they made sure I had everything I needed for a smooth stay. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free visit.

This cutesy cabin was just around the corner from great wine, kayaking, and a fun little icecream shop! It was next to a road tho, so a little less private and we had to be careful our dog stayed close, but loved the accessibility anyway. Super recommend visiting!

We had a great time at this cute little renovated ranch. It was very clean and fresh! They supplied fresh bread and coffee k-pods - nice touches! Good location for vineyards and hiking! We did ask for a late check out and they were not able to accommodate without a charge, that was disappointing, but they did disclose that ahead of time.

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful spot. very roomy inside with a large private backyard with rock outgrowing, small stream, fire pit, swings, hot tub. A great base for exploring the natural sites of the area like the parkway, sharp top, natural bridge etc.

It was exactly what we were looking for and expected for a simple, quiet girls getaway for Mother’s Day. The chairs outside around the fire pit were our favorite! Clean and efficient! The fact they provided K cups and a few snacks was a great touch!

We love the place even if we stayed for a short time. It feels like home and the surrounding is very peaceful most especially watching the horses and chickens.

Lovely stay. Clean as a whistle. Very well appointed. There's a babbling brook next to it that you can enjoy from the back deck. Three forms of coffee available - most impressive. Everything was well labeled with instructions. It's a pet-friendly place, a nice surprise. It's just off a road, so be aware if you're sound sensitive. Communication was excellent from well before all the way through the visit. Beds were super comfy, with lots of lounging areas for friends or family. Clearly hosts that take their visitors comfort very seriously. A lot of thought and consideration put in to this truly lovely place.

Claudia’s place was spotless! Beautiful views right from the property. Loved the Firepit in the backyard. Dogs had a great time too! Great location with lots to do in the surrounding areas, we followed recommendations in the guide book in the Airbnb, everything was fantastic. We visited Bonfire Burgers & Bourbon in Amherst, Mt Pleasant for a hike, and Ankida Vinyards. We had 4 people and 2 dogs and the space was perfect. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect stay! We had a great time at Tyler’s place. The home was spotless, cozy and exactly as described (if not better). The location could not have been better for hiking, brewery and winery visits and the Mountain View’s were beautiful. Check in was easy and Tyler always responded quickly to any questions. It’s was a beautiful getaway nestled in the woods.. great property and landscape. Our family really enjoyed the space.. everything was clean, stores close by, comfy beds!

Really beautifully done home in the woods. Hot tub was great. About 1 hour and 15 minutes to Virginia Tech on windy roads, a little tense driving but beautiful landscape. House was immaculate, thank you!

My wife and I came to Roseland to compete in the Devils Backbone BBQ Championship which was held at the brewery. The cottage was only a mile from the brewery. It was so relaxing and peaceful to return to the cottage at the end of the day. The cottage is clean, well equipped with everything you need, and very well maintained. Leslie & Mike say they love their cottage and it’s easy to see that. We would absolutely stay there again!! Steve & Kelly

The cabin is excellent. It is in a quiet and beautiful location. It is very well maintained and equipped. I highly recommend it.

Solitude was the perfect spot for our weeklong stay in Lexington for W&L graduation. We felt at home, loved spending time on the back deck, and enjoyed the beautiful sounds of the Maury! I hope to come back!

We were in town for my daughter’s graduation. The home is beautiful and comfortable in a peaceful wooded area. The house is well stocked with everything we needed (towels, dishes, blankets, appliances, etc).

Had such a great stay at this house. Beautiful scenery, lots of porch and outdoor space, relatively private from neighboring homes. Bedrooms and amenities were as described. Kitchen was pretty well stocked w/ cooking implements and whatnot. Elizabeth is a super responsive, friendly host that made us all feel at home. Would def go back!

Absolutely loved this place. The house is beautiful, well kept and comfortable. The kitchen was the best! Easy cooking dinner for 4 every night. Loved sitting on the porch , front and back, watching and listening to the birds and the sounds of Hays Creek rolling by. Very much enjoyed long walks along the gravel roads in this area and the views of the grass covered hills and farm land.

Amanda was the greatest Air BnB host I have ever had. These few days that we booked with her were for a bachelorette party and Amanda went above and beyond. She reached out ahead of time and was not only excited but entirely prepared for whatever we needed. She cleaned extra for us and allowed us extra time for set up and tear down. She responded to every message in a timely manner and created a custom experience just for us. She was personal and personable but never overbearing or in our space. She helped us to laundry, put up and tear down a massive blow-up movie screen, and more - all with a smile on her face. She even gifted us personal gift bags with face masks! Amanda played such a big role in making sure this week went smoothly even though it was way out of her job description. Truly the making of an incredible host - we even got her flowers! Thank you so much Amanda! I can only hope that everyone can be blessed with a host as incredible as you!
