This was our 35th straight year of The Tangler's tour. We have stayed in many different locations. We are an especially difficult and hard to please group. We are also very needy. Each of our requests were met with aplomb and the utmost in friendliness. Angela was accommodating with never the slightest hint of being bothered. I would recommend these accommodations to anyone in need of a comfortable and cozy weekend. 5 stars really aren't enough.

Listing states 6 beds there was only five. Maybe I read wrong but it wasn’t a problem for us.

The house was beautiful; the neighborhood was quiet and walking distance to downtown, shops, and restaurants. Jim responded immediately to the one question I had after our arrival. The amenities in the house were wonderful...they thought of everything! If you need an Airbnb in Nacogdoches, contact Jim. You'll love it!

You'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier host than Jim, who clearly wants the best for his guests. That's very apparent by the care taken to keep the property so beautiful. While enjoying morning coffee, we watched a Bald Eagle soar in from the lake like a fighter jet and perch itself on a pine tree for about a half hour. It was extremely vocal and had the other birds in the area on high alert. Not something we see every day in our neck of the woods. We are already planning to return with the family. The home was very spacious, clean and well kept. There was not anything that we needed during our stay that wasn't provided or available. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks again, Jim! Sherrie was a great host, her home had plenty of room and was very comfortable. It was also very nice that there was a circle driveway to park my boat. I will definitely stay next time we are in the area.

Wow. What an amazing place! The setting around the Woodlands Oasis is absolutely stunning. Surrounded by lush greenery and tall trees, it feels like a private retreat nestled in nature, yet it’s conveniently close to town and all of our weekend activities. Whether you're inside or out, the views are peaceful and beautiful. The interior is just as impressive; you'll be smiling the moment you walk in. Every detail feels thoughtfully designed and welcoming, making it easy to relax and feel at home. We had such a great time calling Carolyn’s place home for a few days. In fact, we were already talking about our next trip back before we even left!

the house is expansive for large parties to accommodate everyone. the decor is cute & eclectic! huge fenced in yard for fur babies and in a safe neighborhood. the bed & bedding was comfortable. this house has everything you would need. I will definitely be back!

This was home base for us while we were in town for the Polar Express at the Texas State Railroad. We loved the home and location, and the hosts were among the most thoughtful and attentive that we have experienced. Communication was quick and helpful, check in was easy, and they thought of lots of little extras for us to enjoy. There were cute Christmas decorations, including a tree, as well as some gifts for our toddler which he thoroughly enjoyed. The setting was family friendly, with the peaceful pastures, horses, and cute chickens and pigs. The hosts were kind enough to offer our little boy a chance to interact with the chickens and pigs, and he loved the sweet farm dogs and cat too. The home is cozy and well cared for, and we were very comfortable. It was a huge added bonus to have the "cookhouse" across the yard which we were able to use to cook some meals. Plenty of yard space for our toddler and dogs too. Close to a lot of attractions nearby - would definitely return!

Wow, this place is so perfect and truly a home away from home! Everything was so clean and we loved having the yard and the fenced in front porch to sit on. Such a cute place and will definitely be back if we’re in the area again!

Extremely close, walking distance, to everything in the downtown brick street areas. The second bedroom is small, but worked for us. Well stocked with everything we needed.

We stayed for Labor Day weekend 2024 & again Easter weekend 2025. Best place to stay if you want to get away and relax in the piney woods. We love staying for a long weekend to unwind and reset. Kids love playing in the stock tank & all the games provided. Wonderful family getaway with beautiful views. We will be back in fall.

My boyfriend and I wanted a small weekend getaway and this was the perfect place to do so! I had my dog with us and everything was just perfect. We are already talking about going back and was telling everyone to book here! Definitely worth it all. Everything was clean, very quiet, and everyone around was so friendly. We absolutely loved being on the porch just listening to the birds.

This has now took #1 on the list of Airbnb my family and I have visited! The space was so clean and cozy! The waterfront view was breathtaking! It was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to ANYONE looking for a wonderful stay on Sam Rayburn!

We had a lovely stay, its a beautiful place so peaceful and Nancie was a perfect host. We would have preferred a proper standin shower cubicle but we managed and would defo stay again when visiting Nacogdoches.

We had another great stay at The Morton House! The house is incredibly cozy yet functional. It is a perfect place for my family.

Enjoyed the snacks and wine. Helped make up for the distance into the middle of Nacgodoches
