This quaint log cabin is nestled amongst trees in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Your stay at the Aubert Den will give you that true Up North feel. This cozy cabin is central to the Pere Marquette River, Biking/ORV/ATV/Snowmobile Trails.
“Nice, clean cabin. We used this as our home base and spent the days hiking, biking and kayaking at nearby trails and lakes. It is remote, so you do have to drive a bit to get to any stores and trail heads, but remote was what we were going for. Short walking trails on the property are great for an evening or morning stroll. Overall a great place and would stay again.”
Summit Beach social is centrally located between Ludington, Pentwater, Sliver Lake and Hart Michigan....A Short walk to Bortell's Fisheries, and Summit beach. Nestled in the woods, with plenty of place to play. Snuggle up by the fire pit, roast marshmallows, and watch wildlife. Space available to pitch a tent or have friends bring in campers. This gem is just a skip to all the excitement. More shabby then chic, but perfect place to relax.
“This was my very first Airbnb experience and it was the perfect one to start my adventure! I read in the reviews before traveling that the pictures to the cottage don't do it justice and it DOES NOT! The cottage is so charming and cozy. The first thing I noticed when I walked in were the high ceilings. There's attention to detail in every corner with thoughtful touches. It's the perfect getaway for any occasion! So relaxing and peaceful! There's so much land you could camp out or stay inside. There's a big fire pit and Jeff provides lots of wood to keep a great fire going! You can see all the stars at night and can even catch a visit from a turkey lol! My friends and I enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed an extra day. Cathie and Jeff even provided a local guide of things to do and I'm glad they did because we found the nicest couple running the kayak rentals at Henry's Landing. I have saved this place as a favorite and I can't wait to go back!”
My home is in the country on a beautiful all sports lake. Its a lovely quiet neighborhood just 15 minutes away from Lake Michigan. Attractions are fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, walking the beach, climbing the dunes, biking, hiking or just relaxing on the patio. Manistee national forest trails are withing 10-15 minutes to hike or cross country ski. Three coastal towns are 15-30 minutes away with quaint shops and restaurants. A lovely small meal will be offered for breakfast.
“I am beyond grateful that fate brought us to Bev and her beautiful home. Our stay was above expectations in every possible way. Not only was she incredibly hospitable , but the home was much larger and more beautiful than we thought, with stunning view of the lake. I took my four children with me , and it was their favorite vacation we’ve ever had. Bev has thought of everything and went above and beyond for us! My boys really enjoyed the kayaks she let us borrow and the boating and tubing experience was unexpected and first rate! The kids talked about it the entire way home. We would give this stay 10 stars if we could!!!”
