Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Lucerne

Very polite staff and very accommodating to our needs. The attic room was exactly as described and did include air conditioning, which is a rarity in Switzerland. Breakfast area was well organized and food was high quality. We had an early departure before opening and the staff kindly offered to prepare us a breakfast to-go. Overall, we were very happy with this choice as a base while we explored Lucerne. Felt very safe walking the nearby streets at night, and had easy access to a local brew pub with an outdoor patio for drinks or a meal (we only tried the former). Great value, and highly recommend!

Maria's bed and breakfast is a 300 year old house in a quiet neighborhood a few miles from the center of Lucerne. The bus ride from the train station is 10-15 minutes long and the bus runs every 10 minutes. Maria, the host, was very friendly and helpful, and served a wonderful breakfast every morning. This room is on the third floor of this three-story house. It involves several staircases to get up there. The space was exactly as described, but be aware it is very small for more than two people. It consists of a bathroom with shower; an anteroom filled almost entirely by a queen bed; and a bedroom with two twin beds pushed together. The bedroom had a closet and a door that could be closed; the anteroom has only a small shelf and a curtain instead of a door. Two people will be fine here, but it was very tight for a family of four. There was not room to place more than one small suitcase in the anteroom, and we were tripping over each other. Still, a good value for the price!

We stayed at The Bed and Breakfast on our family vacation. The room was comfortable and fit 4 perfectly. There were plenty of beautiful bathrooms and the beds were quite comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The lady who checked us in was very sweet and even helped us so that we didn’t have to pay overnight parking - we just had to change the time on our parking timer once. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Bed and Breakfast!

A great place with atmosphere and really nice staff. Also, good location in the middle of the village. We will be back next time in Engelberg!

This place was spectacular. A real BNB experience, which my mother and I really enjoyed. Maria describes the place accurately… shared common spaces like bathroom and small kitchen. Rooms were comfortable and spacious and clean! And only a small number of rooms, everyone polite and respectful. She was so kind and communicative and a wonderful host, providing a delicious breakfast every morning at the hour of our choosing. Transportation to and from is very easy, and the walk into town along the lake is lovely, for more active/mobile travelers. I highly recommend!

If I were to take a vacation around Lake Lucerne, this place would be my go-to. The views and setting are amazing, no doubt about that — but what really made the stay special was how thoughtful and attentive the host was.

This Bed and Breakfast was the best! Has such a charming and friendly atmosphere. Even with sharing the building with other guest restrooms were plenty. The rooms were great. Beds were cozy. The best part was the breakfast! The hosts went above and beyond to have a variety of delicious options; breads, meats, fruit, yogurt, grains, and the absolute best jam! We enjoyed our time very much! Highly recommend

villaSteiner is the most lovely place with super nice hosts. everything went smooth, everything was ready, our room was adorable, the surrounding - a dream! the house is full of art, makes even the bathroom unique. the breakfast was delicious, with a lot of homemade and exclusive food. we were informed well about the things you can do and where you can eat best.

Excellent place to stay! The hosts were very friendly and helpful in providing information about the area and how to get around. Would definitely stay there again.

The replacement hosts were very accommodating, likeable and totally nice. Even got up for me at 6am for breakfast. The place is mega beautiful, stylish and the view first! You can see that the owner is an architect - attention to detail! My dog was also welcome. Thank you for a lovely stay - we will be back for sure.

Wow! What a beautiful, comfortable place. Eveline is so sweet and her breakfast spread was scrumptious. I wish we had more time with her and at her B&B!

The hosting: I was hosted by Danial's friends; Monica and her husband. Not gonna lie they were the best hosts I've ever met in all my travels among Europe. Very helpful and friendly and we spent lots of time chatting and learning about Swiss culture and regionover the delicious breakfast they were offering with a warm wholehearted way. The location: great for relaxing and nature observation, quiet and peaceful. The stay: very clean and tidy and they provide anything you would need. I can't recommend it enough!

We had an excellent stay at Franziska’s. The entire family is incredibly welcoming. The room is modern and clean. Breakfast at the bakery was delicious! Would recommend to anyone staying in the Lucerne area.

The place was close to Lucerne and by car it was about 5-10 minutes to the city. Nik and his mother were very friendly and also gave many helpful tips for the area. The room was also good and worth its price. The surroundings were very quiet and you could park right in front of the house.🌸

We let an employee stay here for a week as we had a project nearby. Erika is very friendly. Unfortunately, there is a renovation and therefore it is no longer private. However, the info was communicated from the beginning, so no star deduction. But it would be great if this were not only on the host profile, but also on the listing of the room. Otherwise, everything was as described and our employee was very satisfied.

Definitely stay here if you have a trip to Isenthal. You'll feel right at home with Mrs. Cornelia. Everything can be arranged, the lady will be as accommodating as possible. In its modest, but great cuisine, you'll find regional dishes and more. Ms. Cornelie is a born host. You feel wanting and caring for her. She can handle English great, there was no problem communicating anything. Plus, the place is in the mountains, away from people, so if you're looking for peace of mind, this is the place! There are a number of mountain trails nearby, but walkable in the summer. In the spring around Easter, most are under the snow. It's beautiful though! The place can be reached by self-service cable car that runs every half hour. Be sure to watch the times to catch it.
