Curtis House Down By The Lake

KaylaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We stayed Mon-Fri, two adults and six children (ages 17-1). This house was amazing- so well stocked in the kitchen, so many extra touches. Two baby gates to close off the stair portions. Snacks on the counter. Tons of pots, pans, utensils, storage containers, coffee extras (Keurig, Mr. Coffee, and a Bunn), solid built house (but does have some squeaky floors). Warm and inviting. Super clean. There is a grill outside. This house is as a rental ought to be- fully stocked and feels like someone's home. The beds were amazing. The children absolutely loved the bedroom upstairs with all the beds- they could all be together! Many major attractions within an hour's drive. Five stars- excellent house.

Cozy UP in this spacious home *CENTRALLY located

MaryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our family of four were super comfortable and very happy during our stay in this cozy home! Located conveniently 20 min to an hour from a bunch of great UP attractions (Oswald’s bear ranch, whitefish point and the shipwreck museum, the glass bottom shipwreck boat tours and horseshoe falls, tahquamenon falls, etc.). Host was super responsive to messages and made us feel very welcome. Would absolutely recommend!

Stone House:Classic Summer Memories Made

AnnieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This house is very spacious, more than what we needed! We found it very clean, no bad smells at all! It was wonderful getting to park our snowmobiles in the garage overnight! Especially since it was snowing on and off the whole time. It was nice having the gas station across the road. Not on the trails, as they said but not terribly far either. Beautiful area around this little lake. This house has partially updated, the parts that were great and the parts that weren’t horrible. It was fine for us. The king size memory foam mattress- very nice!

U.P. Memories

SabineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Ron is an exceptionally responsive host—before, during, and even after our stay (we accidentally left something behind, and he was quick to help). Unlike other places we've stayed that lacked basics like soap or coffee, this cabin was incredibly well-stocked and thoughtfully equipped. Of course, what truly sets it apart is the stunning view and direct access to the lake. While there’s no grocery store nearby, we came prepared. It’s a perfect family getaway if you appreciate comfort, coziness, and being immersed in beautiful forest and nature. No wonder it's fully booked for the rest of Summer! ;-)
A charming cottage is surrounded by autumn foliage. The wooden deck, furnished with white chairs, invites relaxation. Large windows reflect the exterior lights, and the gabled roof adds architectural interest. Leaf-covered ground further enhances the natural setting.

We had a great stay at this cute cottage! It was very peaceful with views of the water and a private street. Instructions were clear and it had everything we could ever need for a long weekend up north! The kids loved it so much they wanted to move in! Would definitely stay again! Thanks for everything.

Black Dog Lodge

SusieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The property and house is an experience in and of itself because of all the charming details! There was a check in day misunderstanding and Jacqueline responded immediately and sent assistance and pizza. The pictures are very accurate but don’t do the uniqueness justice. If you watch “Yellowstone” it’s like a mini version. We absolutely loved our experience! Keep in mind it is a log cabin with a boiler and fireplace that we enjoyed feeding to heat the house. The snowmobile trails were an easy 5 miles away and the shoulder had enough to safely ride during our stay. Thank you Black Dog Lodge for the memories and adventures!
The exterior of a cabin is viewed during twilight, with warm light glowing from the windows. A front porch is visible, and a flag is displayed on a nearby post. Surrounding greenery adds a natural touch to the setting.

Clean Cabin in the Woods. Great Location!!

TravisRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Quiet and private home that was perfect for our snowmobile getaway. Lots of parking and just a few miles down the road from trail access. We visited in February and there was plenty of snow to ride the sleds directly from the house to the trail system. The entry room to the house is great for storing gear and prepping for the day. The home was great for our group of four adults -- enough beds, kitchen and table space, and living room lounging. Only negatives were the one bathroom (can get a little busy when starting off the morning!) and no wifi (which we were aware of prior). Definitely would stay again on future trips!
A red cabin is set against a backdrop of colorful autumn trees. The cabin features white window frames and a green metal roof. Seasonal decorations, including pumpkins and a skeleton, are displayed on the porch, enhancing the inviting look of the exterior.

Campbell James Cabin & Bunkhouse on the Trails

KimRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Wow, so impressed with this last minute reservation. We are avid snowmobilers, and this spot was perfect, catching a trail across the way to get on snow covered street to the actual trails in the UP. All 4 hosts were super helpful and responsive, like having 4 concierges at your fingertips. We will definitely stay here again. Home had lots of room to park our 4 place trailer. Shower was great after a long day on the trails. Keurig coffee was an added bonus. Bunk room was a nice hideaway off the main cabin.
The cottage features a red exterior with green roofing, set against a backdrop of trees. A staircase leads to an inviting porch area, while large windows provide scenic views of Lake Superior in the distance. The structure is surrounded by a grassy lawn.

Lake Superior Caboose Style Cottage

SusanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Frank's place is in the perfect location....right on Lake Superior a short walk to the beach. You must go down wooden stairs as the house is on a cliff. Then there is a wooden walkway. All in good condition. Frank's house is not a fancy place. Think of a throwback to the 1980s. However it was clean and comfortable. The first floor bed and pillows were conformable. As he states in his listing there is no wifi and cellular coverage is very poor to non-existent in the area. This is no exaggeration but I knew about both going into it. I do encourage Frank to install wifi at this rental. He does provide satellite radio which I enjoyed. He also provides a Blu-ray DVD player and lots of older movies which I also used. He thoughtfully placed solar lights along the walkway to the beach. Frank informs guests that there is well water so bring some drinking water. The well water is very iron tasting so good idea to bring some jugs. The kitchen pantry items need to be restocked, like salt.
