Vacation rentals in Lost Creek

We couldn’t have picked a better location to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary. We spent a beautiful Saturday at Blackwater Falls and exploring any trace of the Blackwater 100 (historic offroad race) around town. Sunday was raining and we spent the entire day at the cabin having the most peaceful day watching the clouds roll through.

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

What a wonderful place! Felt at home. Justin and Jasmin were very helpful! Definitely recommend for families that want to get away!

This was a nice place to stay, it has a very nice view and easy access to the main road. It also had good size parking for all vehicles which we usually struggle with. We also got a quick response to a concern we had. And Even tho our trip was cut short we enjoyed our stay, we would definitely recommend staying here.

A great private nature secluded location. A great place to take a break from a busy life.

We normally stay at the Canaan Lodge but it was full. This was a good alternative!! The condo is great and kitchen is pretty well stocked, just bring your own oil! We cut our trip short and Brittany was great about refunding the unused night. The condo association has a play room, which was great for our kids on a rainy non-ski day. Would definitely consider staying here again.

I took a last minute trip to West Virginia and was so excited to see that the Grain Bin was available! This was my 2nd booking with our host Scott (Brian), we stayed in his tiny home last time. The campsite is so beautiful, the homes are fully stocked, our host was gracious and most importantly I felt safe staying there alone. I look forward to staying there again on my next trip. We found a "six" star gem walking in the door at Woodhaven. The photos, though true to life, could not adequately convey the warmth and coziness of the living quarters, cleanliness of the rooms, well appointed furnishings in the kitchen, high end bedroom linens and abundance of puzzles/games to keep one entertained and engaged. Wendy's attention to detail, hospitality AND ability to orchestrate a "blizzard" was beyond our expectations and imagination. When we connected in October as owner/renter soon changed to feeling like friend/family in February. We thank you for being instrumental in adding to our treasure trove of memories.
