This was our favourite stay in Tasmania. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated in beautiful hills. We were welcomed into the cottage with ANZAC biscuits. Tracy and Quinton were wonderful host, sharing their farm and beautiful animals that we had the joy of petting and feeding. They were so kind and went above and beyond providing some local produce and stocked kitchen. We had so much fun at this farm stay and exploring nearby areas, a must book and we hope to return!

The place was exactly as described. We weren't lucky with the weather but the chance to disconnect was very welcome. A loaf of freshly baked bread, eggs, butter and jams were waiting for us. The house was already warm on a cold winter's day. We popped to Sheffield to grab supplies and then bunkered down for the night. Shae was easy to communicate with and very accommodating and responsive. We'd love to come back again when we next visit.

Beautifully accommodated and very generous hospitality. Klara has created an amazing space suitable for couples wanting a get away. Close to hiking and great pub meals at the local hotel.

If you're looking for a place to breathe, relax, contemplate, reflect, play, chat and spend quality time with family and friends, Eagles Nest 2 is perfect. With Mt Roland and a big wide sky as the grand backdrop view from all angles of the house, and with cathedral height windows celebrating every inch of the view, being inside and outside feels seamless. Eagles Nest is an experience. All the rooms are themed and the decor interestingly eclectic. The beds are very comfy. The place is clean. The kitchen has everything one needs. And then there's the outdoor spa (where you run your outdoor bath) tucked discreetly away for a relaxing soak. I think spectacular is the best word to describe the view and the night sky. We even saw a meteor shower from our bed which will be forever etched in my mind, with Mt Roland silhouetted in the background and a squillion million stars twinkling in the night sky (admittedly it was 4.30am - I'd woken to visit the bathroom - lucky timing!). So nice!

If I go missing, check here first. The winged house is ridiculously good. Right on the water, stocked like a gourmet bunker, and so full of home grown produce in the garden I briefly considered starting a farmers market! The amenities? Let’s just say if you forgot to pack something, this place probably already has three of it! Quentin was also a very responsive host, with easy and clear instructions. Highly recommend, unless you’re trying to book the same weekend as me—then no, it’s terrible, avoid.

What a beautiful place to spend “down time” at with plenty of room for everyone - there were 8 of us. Everything was spotless when we walked in and we were greeted with delicious local sourdough bread & butter…just what we needed after a long drive. The pantry was stocked with all the needed herbs, spices, sauces, oil and lots of other condiments that make the cooking process easier. We loved the cows, church and the farm land…and we got to see our very first Fly Agaric mushrooms 🍄 We all wished we had a longer stay and highly recommend this beautiful accommodation. Excellent place to stay if you don’t want to have to share your mountain experience with other holiday makers - just a short drive to Cradle and great facilities for catering yourself.. could have stayed a week!

This cottage in Barrington is a true hidden gem. The views of Mt Roland and Lake Barrington are absolutely stunning – we spent every day soaking in the peaceful scenery and watching the changing moods of Mt Roland. The cottage itself is spotless, cozy, and really well thought out. It was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and having breakfast provided was such a lovely touch. The Banana Bread on arrival was appreciated as well. We enjoyed feeding Dotti and Daisy (the alpacas) each day. You can tell Julie has put real care into making this a welcoming and comfortable space. We felt right at home and left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene, nature-filled getaway. We’d come back in a heartbeat! PS: I can also recommend ordering some wine from Devils Gate Vineyard, which is just across the road. Great local wine and friendly service! 🥂
