Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Loch Long

Beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and amazing views from every room. The hot tub is a real bonus. Very well equipped too and spotlessly clean. We had perfect weather and made a good use of the BBQ! Thanks so much for a great start to our holiday in Scotland!

We had the best stay here for my sister’s bridal do! The house was spotless and Mhairi was super responsive. Really wanted a relaxed, homely space with beautiful surroundings and this home was perfect. No hesitation in recommending to family and friends in the future.

We had a lovely time at Jo and Rory‘s cabin on their croft, among their farm animals and some wild rabbits that you can watch right from the veranda. The cabin is cosy and the surroundings are quiet and private - just perfect for a couple of peaceful days.

We chose this property specifically for a quiet few days to recharge after driving from London to Edinburgh for a family wedding. We were not dissapointed as the property was clean, comfortable and very cosy and homely - perfect for a few days R&R. Ross communicated all we needed before we arrived and we were able to let ourselves in at our convenience. We have a horse ourselves so my daughter was delighted to see horses in the field bordering our garden fence and felt quite at home. The property was perfect for the peace and quiet we were looking for. We did venture out once to nearby Balmaha, just 5-10minutes drive, and found that we could take a boat trip across Loch Lomond to Luss, a pretty village with few shops and eateries. It was lovely to see some of the local area before the long drive back home but the peaceful location and homliness of the property was the highlight and it was far better value that local Hotels or similar. Would highly recommend.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were totally blown away by how amazing this place is. What a beautiful, characterful home. Very easy space to relax in, with everything you need and more. Stunning location. Sitting in the window or on the front porch the views were mesmerising. Half an hour to Loch Lomond and The Cobbler. Discovered the sailing club across the road and watched sailing races while enjoying a G&T. Brian the host is so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we visit this part of Scotland. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Beautiful location and property. Had every amenity that was needed. A blow dryer was included, which was nice that we did not have to travel with ours as the plugs are different from country to country. The yard was filled with plants and flowers and was extremely beautiful. Conveniently located to many popular attractions as well as Northern England. We would stay here again. The town of Killearn is so charming, and the shop owners are very nice and willing to help with anything that is needed.

Duncan was a most friendly and communicative host. The photos do not adequately represent the beauty and serenity of the area. The home is beautifully decorated. Every need one might have was met. The kitchen was perfect for cooking up a feast. And, the offer for a scotch tasting was an added perk. So sorry we didn’t get the opportunity to meet Duncan.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Stay! The house was absolutely perfect, peaceful, beautifully kept, and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. We had such a relaxing time, and the surroundings were so serene. As expected in Scotland, the midges were definitely about, but our lovely host Angela recommended using Smidge, and it worked a treat! Angela was brilliant throughout, so helpful, responsive, and accommodating to all our needs and questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or place to stay. 100% recommend and would love to return!

We loved our stay at Ann-Marie's. Communications were easy and the host was very caring. The apartment is cute and very clean. Well-equipped too.

Perfect place for me to stay. Had everything I needed and more. Felt very comfortable. Loved the area. Easy to walk in to Dunoon and a good location for exploring further by bike/ bus / car

Fantastic gardens!!!! Wonderful trails! It was fun to stay in the castle! We had a lovely visit. My favorite parts: walking the trails! Having coffee outside on the bench while watching the birds. Daily walks down the lane with the local kiddos! Hearing the river!

A great property that is in a great location for the main areas of Helensburgh. Everything that you need in a clean welcoming environment.

Mandy is a great host always very quick to respond. We had a very comfortable stay in her spacious apartment. Everything you could want for a home from home. Position is ideal with Inverkip village a short walk away, with there local village hotel for something to eat and a few drinks. You can get the local bus from the village. There is also the Chartroom only a short stroll from apartment if you want somewhere closer to eat and drink. Inverkip train station is close to catch a train to Glasgow.

James’ apartment was the perfect location for our trip: scenic, quiet, accessible parking, plenty of space to relax and a real cook’s kitchen. The apartment was spotless and James was immediately responsive when we had questions. Blackout blinds were welcome at the height of summer and we slept well on the firm mattresses. Washing machine worked very well but would recommend using it during business hours as it got quite noisy during the spin cycle. Recommend this place highly.

Great location, fantastic for the family to explore a bit of nature around them. Greeted by chirpy bird and cute bunnies every morning.

I loved my stay at Liz's flat - it fitted my needs perfectly. Whilst no longer local, I know the area and knew the location before booking - it is perfect for the train and Co-op both literally a 2 minute walk away. Yes the building isn't grand from the outside but do not let that fool you - the inside is just beautiful and very homely. It has everything you need for a short stay and some lovely touches from the host by leaving Milk, Coffee, Cereal etc. The place was spotless. The only one issue I had was the bed, it didn't agree with me - I think it was possibly too soft but that comes down to personal preference and certainly not the hosts fault. I decided to move to the sofa bed in living room for my last night and had an amazing sleep so there is options if you are a solo or twin traveller. I couldn't fault the place, honestly. Great location, beautiful home and amazing host. I can't wait to hopefully return at some point.

We had a great time here. This was a birthday surprise for my cousin 70th birthday who has problems with mobility. Wendy communicated with me putting flowers, banners and a balloon to surprise her which was great. It was easy for my cousin to get around the property and the garden. Definitely would come back. Beautiful property in a stunning setting.

We had an excellent stay at Cobblerview Apartment! The view was, of course, gorgeous - but the care that Carol & Don took in ensuring our stay was comfortable was greatly appreciated and made our experience especially enjoyable. The apartment is cosy and immediately inviting, with a sizable living room space and dining table positioned next to the window and looking out onto Loch Long. Though the view you have of the loch itself is expansive, we never felt as though we didn’t have enough privacy - aside from this window out onto the water, almost all of the natural light that filters in is through skylights. We never needed for utensils or utilities, Carol & Don provided a full range of crockery, cleaning supplies and towels It’s worth bearing in mind that as this is a waterfront property, the bugs are in abundance around summer and you’ll need to have your spray on if you want to sit out on the balcony this time of year!

We had a lovely short stay at the house and really enjoyed our time there. The house was lovely and extremely well equipped and stocked! The area is lovely and private, and very close to a bunch of great locations to visit. Clare was very friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home! Definitely worth every penny and would recommend to anybody visiting the area.

We absolutely loved our two night stay here. The unit is so clean and well put together, the beds were the most comfortable we have slept in for our whole trip. Lovely touches with some supplies left for us and having the use of a washing machine was also another big tick. The location is amazing, right in the middle of it all, walking distance to everything. We wished that we could have stayed longer to take in all the sites properly. We hope to return one day.

We were here to catch up with family, but also had a great time exploring. Kilmacolm and the surrounding area has so much more than we expected. We visited Kilmataj and The Cork and Keg - both highly recommended. The accommodation itself is definitely a “Cosy Retreat” with everything you need for a short break.

We had a wonderful stay at Kayt & David’s place! It was absolutely spotless and so well stocked with anything and everything we could have needed for the weekend, including some really thoughtful touches like croissants, milk and the famous Tunnocks tea cakes! The views over the garden and hills were gorgeous. It was so easy to find and access when we arrived, parking was available right outside on the street and there is a cute pub with some great food right across the street. The bathroom and kitchen were in fantastic condition and supplied with everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay. There were lots of instructions around the place so we were never stuck working out what to do with appliances etc. We had a brilliant time and hope to return one day!

Great place to stay for exploring the more rural parts of Scotland. Beautiful, unspoiled countryside. the rain we had just enhanced the beauty of the mountains and rivers. The flat had amazing views from the window. it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would certainly recommend it to friends.

From start to finish the host was very communicative and proactive about the stay. The flat was perfect for my partner and I - a lovely space that was very quiet and peaceful.
