A one-of-a-kind glamping experience in a stunning island setting right next to the sea Come and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and get back to nature. We provide 4 mattresses and 2 wood stoves, cooking utensils, pots and pans, a basket of wood, a composting toilet, solar lighting and bottled water. If you book the bothy, it's all yours. It benefits from a lovely setting amongst the Scottish countryside with glorious views across Loch Fyne, and has many unique features. There is ample private parking directly outside the cottage (spaces for two cars with extra parking if required) and you are free to enjoy the fields and open spaces around you.

This unique place has a style all of its own. set on the top of a hill with stunning views over the sound of Sleat, taking in breathtaking views of the Isles of Eigg and Rum and in the distant the most westerly point of Scotland. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. 1640 Highland house, a former site of Stewarts of Ballachulish. Alan Brek, famous hero of "Kidnapped" by RL Stevenson, was born and raised in this house. Many historic events are related to Ballachulish House. It's beautiful grounds are surrounded by golf course. Loch Linnhe is within walking distance. Perfect for hiking and bicycle.

Bearnus Bothy on Isle of Ulva

Bearnus Bothy has been lovingly renovated using our principle of ecological design to repair, repurpose and use what has been washed-up by the sea. It is one of the last old residences outside of the main dwellings around the Main House on Ulva. As such there are no neighbours until you reach the tiny community on Gometra - where we live - another three miles down the track.
