Our cottage is good for couples and small families. The Town of Floyd, six miles away, hosts restaurants, a coffee shop, and gift shops. The Floyd Country Store hosts the renowned Friday Night Jamboree featuring local bluegrass, while other restaurants host a variety of music on weekends and during the week.

For your sleeping comfort I have a new queen bed with memory foam mattress. Also, a Mitsubishi heat/AC unit to maintain a comfortable temperature. For an addition fee I offer a workout area complete with dry sauna that heats up to 180. I am a licensed massage therapist and when available I can offer massage by appointment in studio.

Our property is 150 acres total, off the last end-state maintenance road in the county, though just a 20 minute drive off interstate 81, or to the quaint town of Floyd, or the Virginia Tech area. This one is a 24' yurt, beautifully modern with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and steam-sauna shower, TV and (high speed) wi-fi, and comfortable sleeping and hangout spaces- surrounded by 150 acres of streams, trails and natural beauty. Great location just 1/2 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway at MP 152. Surrounded by open fields, mountain vistas abound. This home has been lived in and gently loved for many years. There is one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. An extra cot is available. Fully equipped kitchen! Great for families and a long stay. Guests are invited to join us when feeding the farm animals (alpacas, llamas, Highland cattle, Jacob sheep and angora goats) each morning. Fun!

Unique Yurt in the Mountains!

This retreat is even better than the description and photos. It is extremely private, surrounded by the woods and rolling hills of Floyd county--exactly what we were hoping for! The yurt was beyond our expectations, or even hopes. It's furnished with everything you need for a stay of a weekend or more, and somehow there's still a ton of space. We wanted for literally nothing. We visited the creek twice, and Gabe (our Pyrenees) loved playing in the water and running around the shore. The yurt is very dog friendly, and Gabe loved the duck jerky Jessica had left for us. The weather was a _little_ uncooperative, so we didn't get to enjoy the deck or firepit like we'd hoped in the evening, but the accommodations were so outstanding we barely noticed. I can't recommend high enough--my only reluctance is that more people might discover this gem and we aren't able to find open dates on the calendar to book it again soon!

We had such a great experience at this Airbnb. The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious. It has everything you need for a relaxing time. Our favorite part was spending time outside on the peaceful farm and hiking trails. The trails were well maintained and very convenient for taking our dog out to explore. We also loved visiting the town of Floyd, which is only about 20 minutes from the cabin. We highly recommend this Airbnb for a private and peaceful retreat!

This is such a beautiful cabin! We were only there one night, would have been lovely to stay longer and explore more walks in the area. Rebecca's instructions meant it was easy to find, just a couple minutes off BRP so great location and feels very secluded. The s'mores were an unexpected treat!

If you’re looking to get away from a busy lifestyle & need to unwind , the cabin is the perfect place. Not many places you can lay in bed & watch the sunrise. Truly a very special place & my husband & I feel very blessed to have spent a weekend there.

This great place is historic and beautiful and the country setting is like heaven! The photos don’t do it justice. We were there in May for a family wedding in the area and it was so green and beautiful with wildflowers, vines and beautiful farm animals in the fields all around. The home itself has everything for a comfortable stay including comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and washer/dryer. Will definitely stay again!

This place looks exactly like the pictures on the site. It was immaculate inside and the AC cranks (which is great on a hot day)! Spencer was awesome to work with. Extremely quick responses and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area!
