the Poplars Cottage

Our cottage is set in the corner of a 100 acre mostly wooded tract in rural Floyd County. The site is open, but surrounded by mature trees. You will enjoy the quiet private setting. Our cottage is good for couples and small families. The Town of Floyd, six miles away, hosts restaurants, a coffee shop, and gift shops. The Floyd Country Store hosts the renowned Friday Night Jamboree featuring local bluegrass, while other restaurants host a variety of music on weekends and during the week.

Homeplace

The Homeplace is in the rural countryside of Floyd, VA surrounded by a family farm with a winding creek nearby. You will enjoy beautiful views of pasture fields that may have cattle and sheep grazing and possibly see various wildlife. This home, built in the 1940’s and situated beside a paved road, has been lived in and gently loved. While experiencing the nostalgia of an old home you will also enjoy modern conveniences such as WIFI, central heat/air, and a fully stocked kitchen and bath.

Our tiny house is beautifully appointed with everything you need to live (and work!) in luxury two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Sleep soundly on the queen sized mattress topped with 4" memory foam. Cook your gourmet meals in the fully equipped kitchen—(we provide welcome mini loaf, organic coffee, half and half, sugar, rolled oats, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.) There is one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. An extra cot is available. Fully equipped kitchen! Great for families and a long stay. Guests are invited to join us when feeding the farm animals (alpacas, llamas, Highland cattle, Jacob sheep and angora goats) each morning. Fun!
