This property was amazing! Michael met us to let us in and give us the keys. He went through details of the home in detail and also provided helpful recommendations for local restaurants, beaches, etc. We were very comfortable. The furniture and amenities made us feel at home. The most amazing aspect of the home was the huge balcony with view of the entire ocean! I could sit out there for hours! A really lovely, pristine apartment 15-20 minutes walk from central Heraklion. Gorgeous pool, (though weather meant we didn't spend too much time in it!, beautifully presented and all amenities we required. Host was very responsive and came over very quick to sort out our initial issue with connecting to the internet.

We were welcomed like princes, in a beautiful quiet apartment with a breathtaking view, facing the sea. Breakfasts in the sun, lulled by the sound of the waves! Our adorable hostess delighted us with a delicious tiramisu and made us participate in the joyful Cretan rituals for Easter. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

A truly fantastic place to stay. Exceptionally well stocked apartment with absolutely everything you would need for a long or short stay. Close to lots of restaurants, but well stocked kitchen if you prefer to cook. Beautiful terrace for dining, both undercover and outside. Host Viky is charming and friendly and could not be more helpful. We hope to return another time.

Very nice apartment equipped with all comforts. Beautiful location because from the balcony you can see the sea. Very nice nearby beaches. The most beautiful ones in the south of the island are far away so I recommend making another stop if you want to visit that part of the island.

Amazing place great location the best host

We are the family of 3 and we had a great stay at Charis's apartment. The place is very big, beds and linens super comfy, towels, bath supplies - like a top end hotel! Kitchen with all you need if you want to cook. My favourite spot was the balcony with comfy furniture to have a morning coffee or to admire stunning sunsets (I think I took like 300 photos). Underground parking was a plus for us as we had a car. The place is outside the old city, but the parking is really cheap (3 euros for a full day at the Marina) or you can take a 15 min walk. Charis is an amazing host. All communication was perfect. He left us candie and Easter specialties to try. last but mot least, as we arrived late on Easter Sunday, he picked up groceries for us as most places were closed. Thank you again Charis. I cannot recommend the place and the host enough. We did not want to leave and hope to be back!

Beautiful apartment in a great location with a large balcony (but without sun). We felt very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. Harry was very responsive and friendly. The house was really nice, just as described, and had everything we needed. The view is beautiful—if you wake up early, you can see the sun rise right in the center of the big window and watch it move all the way up. The location is good. We did hear some highway noise, and there was a friendly group of dogs that barked in the morning. But at least you could pet them they were sweet. The hot tub was nice. Although we didn’t use it as much as we thought we would. It’s on the roof, and since the house has a central spiral staircase, you need to come down it to get back inside. That made it a bit tricky with wet feet and the April nights were a bit too chilly to stay on the roof for too long after the tub. But we really enjoyed using the BBQ. Overall, we had a great time. Harry’s hospitality was top notch.

Highly recommend! A quiet area, close to everything. We stayed here start of October with our 14 yr old and 3 month old son. The apartment looks like the photos, very clean andy tidy. Very comfortable bed, was huge 💛. We had asked for a cot, which was there. The pool was lovely, very refreshing, solar heated. We were the only ones using it, due to out of main season, an unexpected luxury. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, literally just outside the gate. Within 10 mins walk is a supermarket, pharmacies, a patisserie with huge pain au chocolates - highly recommend, they also had pastries (cheese and bacon, mushroom and ham etc). If you walk along the sea front for about 20mins get into Gournes which has several beach bars, and restaurants/ cafes, we went to Taverna ambrosia, very good even had a baby change area (not everywhere has these) and soft play at the back. It’s a 45 min walk to the Creta aquarium, definitely worth a see. Ioannis arranged several taxis for us.

Nikos was an out standing host - the property was second to none - really pleased I stayed - if I ever go back to Crete, I will definitely stay at this property - thanks again Nikos for being so friendly and helpful, bo5h you and your wife - by far the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at.

Only stayed for one night but this was a good place to stay. It is a bit small for two grown ups and two kids but if you keep things organized it's still a pleasant stay. WiFi was way too slow for remote work but connecting my laptop to my phone's hotspot saved the day. Maria was very friendly and helpful so this place is definitely a good option for couples and even families who don't need big indoor spaces.

Olga and her family are very kind people. The hospitality is exemplary. Her mom Helene prepared Greek specialties for us for the duration of our stay. Through her knowledge we were also able to attend shows of typical dances of the region. I recommend this destination without any issues. We will also go back to deepen our discovery of this Greek island.

The owners of this place were amazing! They were so nice! The apartment is very clean and organized. The view is absolutely stunning from this place! Recommending everyone to stay here! Would stay here again if we ever visited!

We had a lovely time in Gournes. It's a quiet place with a few restaurants and a nice little beach. Georgios was very helpful.

We had a great vacation at George's place. The hot tub was a highlight and messages were always responded to immediately. I could definitely imagine taking another vacation here. Best regards 🫶

The place was as described, very easy to find, clean and with everything that you would expect in it. The apartment is in close proximity to shops, restaurants and the beach. The bakery down stairs has good coffee and a great tea selection. The wifi wasn’t that great but that was maybe due to coverage issues in the area. All in all I had a great stay.

We spent weeks looking for different places to stay in Crete. We needed two bedrooms Due to being a family of four and ideally wanted to be close to a beach. Mades wasn’t on our radar but it became our favorite beach and little hideaway. The market across the street was perfect for coffees and snacks. The view was better than pictures. It was a few steps away from a pretty private beach. The chairs and umbrellas were €8 for a set and the restaurant up the hill had great pizza. There are many great restaurants with 5-10 minute drive

The apartment is perfectly located to explore the island, you are in the center of the island, immediately on the highway (recommendation: before moving in, be sure to practice driving backwards to the mountain!!) and yet the apartment is very quiet and has a great view of the sea. Especially the small balcony directly above the sea appealed to us, even if it might be a little too hot/not shaded in summer. Here you can also quickly make friends with the 4 cats, who occasionally also drive the neighbor dog to whiteness. Those who are afraid of cats should prefer to look for another apartment with these attached specimens, cat lovers will love it. Marianna's mother is a good soul, bringing eggs from the in-house chickens as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. All in all for us the perfect place to combine exploring the island with relaxation.

Wonderful place to stay. Right on the beach. Nikos and his father were there whenever we needed them and very attentive. Highly Recommended, as is Nikos restaurant, Libre, the best on the beach by a long way!
