Less than a kilometer away from the cottage is the start of a track through native bush to the top of Mount Cargill with panoramic views of the Otago Harbour. Jesse’s place was really beautiful. It is very spacious with 6 of us occupying the house. Very good for a family or a group of friends like us. The views from all of the bedrooms and common areas are majestic - with a panoramic view of both the mountains and the sea. We were even lucky to have witnessed the aurora - right outside our bedroom window! We had fun playing the board games available too. There’s also ample parking space outside too - we had 2 SUVs and 1 ute. They got everything we needed during our stay. Would love to stay there again if we ever come back to Dunedin. 😊

During our full-time travels we tend to seek out lodging that is unique, and the old converted Sunday school hall/now glasshouse was just that! Tessa is an exceptional host. We spent a wonderful evening with her learning about the transformation of this beautiful space. Furnishings are stylish and very comfortable. Location is in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a 5-10 minute drive to the St. Clair beach area, downtown Dunedin or the start of the scenic Otago Peninsula drive.
