We picked the perfect location for exploring New River Gorge! We actually live here and LOVE it. Over the last 2 years, we completely rebuilt this Little Guest House from the ground up while exploring and putting together the local's ultimate guidebook of the area. Our goal was to make a cozy and cute cottage to highlight why we love WV so much. We strive for eco-friendly practices because we want to see this place clean and thriving for our kids and visitors to enjoy for years to come.

INSIDE THE NATIONAL PARK. The Cabin on Pennington Hill is the perfect rustic cabin for a couple or small group of 4. Set on top of a hill overlooking a beautiful pond, this cabin will give you a taste of the West Virginia outdoors. The perfect affordable base camp for outdoor enthusiasts. You'll spend most of your time outside enjoying the deck and the view but when you move inside you'll have a comfortable queen bed and a futon to sleep on. A basic kitchen has everything you need.

New River Gorge Preserve-Winterplace Skiing Tubing

Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere at Mary’s on the New River, in the National Park and Preserve, on an ACTIVE RAILWAY and CROSSING. It is conveniently located to Sandstone Falls, Grandview National Park, the Grand Canyon of the East. Enjoy outdoor activities that are right outside your front door. Fishing equipment, supplies, kayak and licenses are also available from Sandstone General Store, just a couple of miles away. **Expect brief sporadic train noise during the day and night.

Richmond’s Meadow Creek Hideaway Cabin #4

Welcome to Cabin #4, our fun sized hunting themed cabin. Our cabin is 120 sf, roughly the size of a standard bedroom. It has a loft with a full size futon mattress, a roll-up pillow top mat, (perfect for a child to sleep on), a futon sofa/bed, kitchenette, bath with shower, and a large deck. The Cabin is fully furnished, has ac/heating, satellite tv, Wifi, and both a fire pit and wood. This cabin is open seasonally April through October yearly.

We are minutes away from many of the major attractions in the area including: rafting companies (i.e. ACE and Adventures on the Gorge, and River Expeditions), hiking, shops, and restaurants. We are located within the city of Oak Hill so no crazy backroads or surprises : ) Relax on our back porch, around the firepit, or inside in the air conditioning after a great day of having fun! Centrally located, we are less than 1 mile from WV Tech and the VA Medical Center and just minutes from 2 other local hospitals, shopping and restaurants. We are 13 minutes to I-77 or I-64, 20 minutes to the Grandview section of the New River Gorge National Park, and 30 minutes to Fayetteville, one of WV's coolest small towns.
