Lake house vacation rentals in Lay Lake

This is the second year we have stayed in Susan’s home & absolutely love the home & location. Great views & close to everything. We felt right at home & a great place to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We highly recommend this place.

We were in town for a wedding so there was not much time to enjoy the extras of the house. We did make use of the movie room and loved the massive couch. It’s rare for a family six to all easily recline and enjoy a movie together! I think the kids did play pool and ping pong between events when they could. It was definitely a lovely view and a nice touch with the strung cafe lights outside. I do want to say ALL of the beds were great. I hate showing up to a place and finding a fifteen year old squeaky spring mattress. This place was great and everyone slept well. The place was clean and check out was super simple. I’m used to rentals that make you feel like the cleaning crew at the end of your stay. That was not the case here. Just a few simple steps and you were good to leave. Which was really nice. If we had a reason to be in the area, I would definitely rent again.

Great house, great location, and great host. House was very clean. It was well stocked and very comfortable. Nicr clear check-in and check-out instructions.

I wanted to stay in this place from the moment I saw it on your website. It was a beautiful home with very peaceful surroundings. That’s exactly what I wanted. It’s located very close to nice restaurants and stores if you need to shop and eat out. My 89 year old had no trouble getting to the water on her walker. If I’m able to come again next year, I sure hope I can get this same house. Simon was very helpful from our first contact. He checked on us from time to time and was super nice host.

The vacation was beautiful. We loved just hanging out on the dock and kayaking up and down the lake. We enjoyed fishing and playing pool. We loved it so much that we spent the majority at the house hanging out on the dock. Laura was friendly, prompt in responses, and helpful.

Awesome place and even better in person than the pictures. It was perfect for our family. (Couple with 3 and 5 year old) House is basically brand new, has everything you need and everything is very clean! My kids jumped off the dock for hours and we loved every second - 5 year old cried her eyes out when we had to leave. Awesome views from the house and dock. Hosts provided very detailed info for everything you could think of. We hope to be back soon!

From the cleanliness, the fluffy bath towels, to the extra items such as the aluminum foil, and pots and pans, everything was there to feel like home. We did not need anything that was not already provided. Beautiful home with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Highly recommend! We plan on already booking for next year! Mandy S.

This location was very peaceful and clean. It would be a really great place for a large group, especially if you had children with you. Gary communicated very well with us. We encountered no issues, but I feel that if we did, he would have been right on it.

It was a lovely place with plenty of room for my dog to roam around. The interior was clean and spacious. The king-sized bed was comfortable, and the hidden door/shelf was a clever touch. We didn’t notice it at first, but when we finally discovered it, we had a good laugh because it was so obvious that we had overlooked it.

Had a great time with family in from of of town. Quiet lagoon area. Great for fishing and kayaking and letting the kids swim in the lake. House is in a nice private neighborhood but near stores and restaurants. Would stay again.

The host was very friendly and accommodating. The house was very clean and beautiful. The host supplied so many extra things like board games, towels, toiletries , trash bags, and more which was so nice . The fire place on the back porch was my favorite for the cool mornings . We have already booked another trip for June of this year and we cant wait ….

stayed at Susan’s House and had a great experience. She was very communicative and made sure everything was perfect during my stay. Best of all, she’s dog-friendly, so if you’re traveling with a pet, she’ll welcome them with open arms. Its my 3rd time there and counting..

We loved our stay & Paula’s home. We felt right at home. Paula was phenomenal at communicating as well as making us feel at home. I highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip down.

Great spot right on the river. Covered dock for our 20ft pontune boat, screened in porch with view of the lake. Great kitchen, pool table, big tv, great rooms and bathrooms, washer dryer charcoal Webber grill Out back. All superb and would definitely recommend.

Alise’s place we so great! Comfortable beds plenty of sitting in the living room! Great kitchen with all the appliances. An easy walk to the dock for fishing and hanging out. Def will be coming back!

Margaret’s home was very comfortable, clean and had everything needed for a great stay. It is a very short drive to downtown. The lake and park next to the home was an extra bonus! I would definitely stay there again when visiting the area. Margaret was a responsive host who checked in on us daily to make sure we had everything we needed.

We loved celebrating our granddaughter's 13th birthday on the lake! It was a perfect place, the weather was stormy and lots of rain but that didn't stop the fun! It's a long way from home for us, but it sure feels like home when we are there. Thank you Maggie!

We had the best time at this lovely home!! The views were spectacular and the home was updated, cozy and big enough for all 7 of us!! We can’t wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful time at the lake house for Memorial Day weekend:) The home is gorgeous, we loved cooking in the brand new kitchen. The host was responsive, communicated well before and during our stay, and check-in/check-out was easy.

This house was beautiful! My friends and I had the best time, and there was so much space for all of us! It was comfortable and exciting at this home.

This is the second time I haven’t rented this location from Kelly. It is the perfect place to unplug and escape the hustle and bustle of your daily life.

We were looking for a place for just a few days in the middle of the week at Lake Martin. Virtually impossible in the summer, but work and other plans made it hard to plan ahead. So glad we found Jeff’s place. Beautiful big dock that easily accommodated our wake boat and two sea doos. Also steps down to the water made swimming easier. Very near Lakeside Marina so launching and getting gas was easy too. The house has been remodeled and has a cute mountain cabin feel. Nicely appointed kitchen and plenty of space for our party of 9. The only thing that might be an issue is one bathroom is downstairs directly off the living room with a sliding barn door. The other two are upstairs. One is en suite in the master and the other bathroom is shared by two bedrooms. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it might be for others depending on the age of your guests. Would definitely rent this house again.

Neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful. Rooms and kitchen are large size. Separate bathrooms was convenient! I appreciated that she allowed pets as I was traveling to a dog event with my dog. The yard was perfect for my pet and my daughter enjoyed having a pool which was much larger than anticipated! If we weren’t sleeping, we were enjoying the backyard and patio area. Would rent again.

We had an excellent weekend at this lake house! Everything we needed was in the house and it was clean. it's a very pleasant environment and the host was friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!
