The Arriero cabin is in La Loma de Thoreau, Quintas del Bosque, 940 meters above sea level and in the heart of the Dominican Central Cordillera. We dedicate it to Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862), because he and his writings are the ones who have most inspired us to lead the lifestyle we choose. Thoreau said that whoever moves forward confidently in the direction of their dreams, crosses an invisible border. We're happy to share our place in the world. Welcome to Loma de Thoreau!

Your house, with just under 50 m², is located at the edge of our property, surrounded by plenty of greenery. It has 3 rooms with up to 5 sleeping places. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PRIVATE POOL! The house offers all the comforts, including a flatscreen TV, a music speaker, and of course excellent Wi-Fi. On the large covered terrace, you’ll find a nice gas grill. There is also a fire pit and a jacuzzi, although the jacuzzi is currently not working and not heated.

There are also many options for walks in the rural area with waterfalls and spas.
