Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Lake Tarawera

The house was lovely and spacious and very homely. And we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved that the water was uv treated rainwater so no chemicals! It was a nice central spot to go to places like hobbtion, blue springs, tauranga and rotorua. The kids loved it there and I think we'd all be be keen to visit again sometime. It just made our holiday! Thank you so much!

What a spot!! absolute beachfront, high up on the hill overlooking the beach. We booked for our wedding night, but hosts were flexible with an early check in so the bridal party could get ready. Don't book if you don't like listening to the roar of the ocean when it's windy, but if you find it soothing like us, then it's perfect! Nice stairs down to the sand, perfect for a walk, and a nice deck area. The undercover area with fire is so nice for that bad weather but wanting a cosy spot to relax. I have zero complaints, place was spotless, nicely laid out and great parking. We are local to the Pukehina area, but if we ever need to book somewhere there again, this will be first on this list! Our family group of eight loved this spacious property. It was so perfect for our group and everyone really enjoyed staying here so much. Great neighbourhood and well located to the Redwoods and Blue Lake, where we spent most of our time. Excellent communication with Portia, she was super helpful from the time of booking right through to check out. We would love to come back another time.

Above Par is an awesome home to spend a long weekend with family. Very spacious with modern facilities & plenty of room. It rained the whole time so we only got to enjoy the spa pool briefly but loved the ping pong table and the easy access to Rotorua’s attractions.

Perfect place to stay and the host was amazingly accommodating. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back!

Thank you for your hospitality Juliette. Our family loved staying at your place. The kids especially grew very fond of Moka. They were sad to say goodbye to him. As a host Juliette was very friendly and easy to communicate with. She was always just a phone call away and answered all our questions. House was very cosy and comfortable. The backyard / deck area was the best for our three little people who enjoyed kicking the ball around in and riding their bikes. It was completely secured which was a bonus (especially with our wandering two year old) ! Would highly recommend!

Excellent location in a quiet area with awesome view of Lake Rotorua. Extremely clean and tidy - just like the photos. Very clear and friendly communication. Perfect base for a short stay in Rotorua.

Stuart's place is 100% in everyway. A well presented home, has a well equipped kitchen, it could use a fry pan lid. Think maybe the bbq isnt used much, was a bit rusty. This didnt change me wanting to give a five 5 star review. The deep bath is amazing. The view, the privacy, and the quite space, were amazing, it was a great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. It was just what we were looking for. Wonderful host, friendly. Would re book if back his way again.

And the electric blanket was a blessing.” - says mum If you’re looking for a comfortable resting place with tasteful decor, luxurious & unique additions like a towel warmer rack, homemade jams, Netflix on tv, extra pillows & cushions, actually nice smelling bathroom products, a cookie jar & coffee machine, fruit from the garden if you’re lucky, filtered spring water every day, and a little lovely breakfast bar, look no further than Janey’s place. So many extras I hadn’t expected, Janey went above and beyond to accommodate my mum and myself with such warmth & kindness. Oh did I mention the water view from the rooms? Spectacular. We stayed 4 nights and loved coming back to being able to have dinner at home, even with a kitchenette, some extra cooking appliances from Janey helped, she was just so thoughtful! Thank you Janey, you made our trip with your hospitality. Highly recommend.

Quiet and peaceful stay, especially after an action filled day in Rotorua. Close enough to everything yet tucked away in a quiet street. Well thought out and you have everything you need. Thank you for having us.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (tween). The apartment was beautifully furnished and comfortable, it had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom and we loved that it had a spa. It is little but big enough for the four of us and has a very cosy atmosphere. It was slightly out of town at the top of a hill, which had the added benefit of not being as fragrant as Rotorua town :-) We used our rental car to get into town and to the bike park it was very straightforward. Definitely recommend would stay again.

This Airbnb was lovely and had an awesome view of the lake right out the window plus a big balcony and it felt private as we were right on the shore basically. There was a lovely garden and we could take fruit if we wanted so got some feijoas :) The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner and it had a washing machine as well and our clothes dried fast outside in the sun. The listing said the wifi could be variable but we found it fine in the lounge and dining area and I was able to do a Zoom class with video with no issues. We met the host Marie as well and she was very friendly! Would love to stay here again in the future.
